Wow.... my life is SO boring, I can't think of anything! When I was about 21, I worked as a First Responder with the American Red Cross for a few years. We had the responsibility/privilege of going to New York to provide First Aid support for the 200th anniversary celebration of the Statue of Liberty. On the evening of the big fireworks celebration down in Battery Park, I had to drive our ambulance through massive crowds of people (imagine MK after the last fireworks of the evening, every one trying to leave, times 1,000!!). It was one of the scariest/most thrilling times of my life. Sadly, because of where our truck was positioned, I barely saw any of the fireworks.
But it was a HUGE thrill just to be there during all of this excitement.
I hope everyone is having a great day. I worked today, but it was an early release day, so I was home by 12:30pm. I ate lunch, did some picking up downstairs, got the dishwasher, washing machine, and dryer running, and now I'm having a snack (having a huge snack attack today!) and catching up on things here. I've got my circuit training class tonight. It will be ending at the end of the month and I will be VERY sorry to see it end. It really kicks my behind and I need that! I intended to do a 5K run at the Y last night, but my bladder issues kicked in (worse at the end of the day) and I ended up doing walk/run and then incline/flat intervals. I kept it up for 60 minutes, but it still didn't feel like enough of a workout, so I added 15 minutes of stretching and abs at the end.
I cashed in my change bucket (MK popcorn bucket that sits on my dresser) and my most recent pay check today and will be stashing the money away for the upcoming Mother/Son trip to WDW. It's creeping up quickly and I am so excited. I purchased the Verizon Mobile Magic Disney application for my phone yesterday and had a bit of fun playing with it. Even if it isn't the most helpful, for $10 it is still a great way to build the excitement about the trip (not that we have any trouble getting excited!).
I am hoping to find some time this week to type up our intinerary (yup, I'm one of those neurotic over-planners who carries a daily itinerary around with her!!). We have our parks per day planned and our list of priority rides. We decided to opt out of any sit-down meals. DS is more of a grazer and since it is such a short trip, we didn't want to give up park time to sit in restaurants. As much as I LOVE to eat, I'm not a big foodie. I'm content with a veggie burger and salad or chicken wrap sandwich. I KNOW from experience that you can find relatively healthy foods at the Disney counter service areas, if you try hard. If we decide last minute we want to have a sit-down meal, we can always use my new Mobile Magic app to find us a place to eat! (That sounds like a BL product placement ad!)
Okay... I'm off to catch up on a few other things! ...........P
Yeah I think I'm gonna do that this trip too as when we go it will be so busy. Well..it's more like guidelines y'know. (keep to the code)
We take all our food and only eat in the park if husband is set on it--or for convenience's sake. I have to be sure he takes snacks and sandwiches lol to keep him happy. Just found out my cousin is back working at the Blue Bayou though so I might have to ask about her schedule and eat lunch there one time this time. She's my second cousin and has been a hostess there for 30 years. She had some kind of cancer though but it is doing well now.
