Biggest Loser 6 Black Team Week 1

I did! Just finished Walk Away The Pounds(WATP) 2 mile Walk the walk.

Who is next???

You get to award yourself the "I made exercise a top priority today!" award.

I took a 15 min walk today. I am just starting back after a few month hiatus from exercise, so I am taking it slow. I injured my foot in the spring, and I have to watch how much impact I have at one time.

You get to award yourself the " I WILL take good care of myself!" award.

Just popping in to say Hi and introduce myself.

I am Kay, SAHM of 2 (DS8 and DD 4 today!). Aiming to loose 40 pounds and tone up. Just need to get back on track after the summer break.

Looking forward to being a looser!

Hi all,

I am Joanne. I would like to lose 50 lbs. Exercising is not my problem it's the eating. I like to eat.

Went to step today for 1 hr 15 min.

I am married, have 2 boys 22,19. Oldest will start his first"big boy job" Tuesday in an accounting firm and is going to grad school. Youngest in in his third year at FSU.
I will have to appologize already since we have a WDW /cruise planned for next week. I will do some exercise every day but will not be dieting.

Good luck all, I look forward to getting to know every one and losing weight together.

I'm glad to be a part of the team. I'm not a great poster, but I'll gladly read and work on the challenges. I have a long way to go - but love competitions and will hopefully use this to get me going on the right track. Thank you all!

Good morning team,

I am off to an aerobathon this morning 9-11:30 so wish me luck.

Happy Saturday all.

hi all--
just joined--

here's some basic stats
I'm 43-- married for 20 years-- 3 kids--
I'm not sure what my weight loss goal is--
but I'm 5'81/2" and weighed in at 172.8--
I' want to loose at least 20 lbs and see how I feel at that point.

I joined WW on Thursday--so I'm getting the eating under control--
now I have to work on exercise-- I really hate to exercise!!!!!!!!!

Sorry to be so late, but just got a chance to sit down at my computer. So, I'm 53 years old, married with 2 daughters, ages 22 and 18. My oldest was a cast member at WDW in the College Program. Love to brag about that since it was an exciting time for us all. We live in Missouri, about 25 miles west of St. Louis.

Anyway, I am currently a WW member since June of this year. My goal is to lose 54 pounds, and so far, I am at 21.6. Don't think I'll be posting any HUGE losses on a weekly basis, but I will be slow and steady for sure. This is my 4th time at WW and I am DETERMINED to make Lifetime this time. Getting older and having extra weight on is not a good thing.

Exercise M-Fri, on my treadmill, also do Bow-Flex and free weights.

Looking forward to the challenge. I know it will be a lot of fun, but also hard work. I'm UP for it. :thumbsup2

You and I could almost be twins (although I do have a twin who has 2 girls to my 2 boys)

HOw did you get the oldest to get a "big boy job"? Mine got out in May and stillhasn't started to look but has been working long hours at JCPenney's.

Good Sat morning. I hope you are all safe this morning and praying for those poor people in Texas.

:welcome: New people bamaofthree, EyeLuvMickey, njcarita, and SuzeyCruisey are new to the group. Just jump in when you can.

I am off to mow two lawns with my husband and they aren't even ours. Dh's sister is disabled so we do her lawn and dh's father says he can't do theirs any more so we are off to do their lawns. We will leave as soon as dh gets back from taking in the recyclables.

Hope everyone has a great losing day. Keep up the hard work.

I had my weekly WW weigh in today and lost 4.6 pounds last week. Hopefully I can see at least a 2 pound loss each week now. It was week 1 so and I always lose more the 1st week. I know this challenge and the show will help me stay motivated!

GO BLACK TEAM!!!

I am at a workshop out of town. I could not get my laptop working right at the hotel last night :confused3 If nothing else, I will email my weight on Sunday night when I get back home. I just had a minute on a computer during a break, so I will get caught up tomorrow night. Thanks!!

Happy Saturday Biggest Losers!

I am so pleased to see everyone here! You can do this.

I believe in you!

Good Saturday Morning, Everyone!

Welcome to our New Members!!!

Typical for me, yesterday I was totally OP & got in 43 minutes of exercise....and GAINED 2.5 lbs!!!! I know, don't weigh every day, but I do......

Have a safe, wonderful weekend!!!

:cheer2: Barbmouse - you get to award yourself the "I did it anyway!" award. Rewarding your self if a good thing. Even if it is just a silly title for the day. And isn't it great to tell yourself "I got an award today!" :woohoo:

Oh, goody an award!!:cool1: And yes it does feel good to reward ourselves!!
Let's all focus on the good things we are doing and not the setbacks. If you eat more than you planned to or didn't get to the gym as planned just get back up, dust your self off and keep moving forward!!!

GO BLACK TEAM!!!!!:cheer2:

I am signing in everyone. I am a stay at home mom of 2 boys that are on the go all the time so healthy eating is just so hard when yu are always on the go. I wish everbody the best of luck and I am so exciteds about this

Hi all! My laptop still won't work up in my room so I am down in the hotel lobby posting this.
I have two sons. David is 21 and Michael is 10. I have been working out regularly since Easter. The only weight I have lost was the 10 lbs I lost around the time of the mini BL challenge last spring. It was a lot of fun and really kept me motivated. Unfortunately I don't make wise choices when I eat. I eat what is easiest at the time. Sometimes its the apple I grab off the counter and other times it's 2 slices of pizza!! I'm excited about doing this over the next four months. I would love to eventually lose 40 lbs, but my immediate goal is 5 lbs. If I lose 5 lbs I will weigh the least I've weighed since I was 6 months preggo with Michael!! WooHoo!! I can't wait!! GO Team!!!!

Hi - I am Wendy. Wasn't paying attention and didn't realize we were all on teams and a new thread!

I live in Melbourne, FL and am a former Entertainment CM at WDW. I'm 40 and a single mom of a 17 year old boy. He is graduating this year and I will be left alone. Thought the best way to remedy that situation was to get my health and weight under control.

I have a long way to go. I actually started this Sept 1 and have lost about 7 pounds so far. I just need the motivation to keep going. At least until I can SEE results. Right now - nothing seems different except that I am hungry and my muscles are sore!

Hi Everyone,
I hope you all had a great day!!

I got in 30 minutes of exercise...not as much as usual but better than nothing, right? I made Weight Watchers Garden Veg soup to have on hand. It is 0 points and quite tasty. I also bought Progresso soups that are 0 or 1 WW points. This will be great for my lunch at school during the week. I enjoy soup and since my building can be a bit chilly I don't mind it on warm days. But cooler days are coming so stock up if you like them!!! I find planning ahead is a big challenge for me but makes a huge difference when I do it.

There are some great recipes at the top of this thread if you need more ideas. I am new here and am excited about trying some of them.

goldcupmom

Ahhh!! I am so guilty of weighing every day. It is such a downfall for me that I have a personal challenge of only weighing on Mon, Wed, Fri.

I swam a mile in 45 minutes today. .....And can I count the 1 1/2 that I spent mowing the lawn today as exercise?? :rolleyes1 I had planned on 2 hours in the pool, but the yard took a little bit longer than I thought it would.
