Happy to be down 1.1 this week. Total is only 2.7, but I'll take it!!!! Hopefully I'll be able to start exercising soon & that will help. Still have the remnants of the crud & on the 2nd round of antibiotics - still swollen nodes & waiting to hear on bloodwork and 'borderline enlarged thyroid" which has me stressed to the max! Endo appt on 25th.

Congrats on the Scholarship, Dona! Here in NM if you graduate HS w/ a 2.5 you get $1000 for 1st semester, then if you have & keep a 2.5 the state pays your tuition for up to 4 years. This semester DS18 owes $514 for 17 hours credit!

congrats all you LOSERS & those who didn't for having the courage to keep going. We've all been there & it's HARD!!!!!!

I still have to figure out how to record either BL or American Idol tonight.....can't bear to miss either!!

I lost another 3lbs this week making my total so far 5.5lbs!

I am so happy seeing how it was not a great couple days with Flo visting and all I took 2 too many days off from exercising.
 
I'm down .4 lbs .. it's a loss and I'll take it :yay:

For those who lost - keep on keeping on .. don't rest upon your success - build up on it :thumbsup2

For those who turtled (stayed the same) and those who gained - keep fighting the good fight .. your success will eventually show up on the scales :goodvibes
 

I broke even this week, which disappoints me a little bit. But it was a BAD week, which leads to comfort eating and not exercising like I should. All in all, I did okay, and staying the same is better than gaining!
 
Well I counted today. I climb 418 stairs a week. 59 stairs on Monday and Wednesday and 150 on Tuesdays and Thursdays. All this with an added 15lbs of books.

Hopefully I will have a killer rear by the end of the semester!

So I ran into my former (and possibly current) trainer. I haven't seen her in forever, I've been looking for her as well. I love her to pieces, even if she does kick my hiney. :eek:

She was teaching the aqua fit class today, I was going to take it but was running late and ended up just walking on the track upstairs and putting in 2 miles.

She wants me to take her SPIN class.:scared1: She says I can do it. The last time I tried SPIN my knees were killing me and I was biking correctly so maybe I'll try again. I just put and offer in on a pair of padded bike shorts. If they take the offer then I'll see about finding a padded bike seat and joining in or at least giving it a try. I guess it would be a good idea seeing as I want to try a triathlon in the summer I should probably start biking a little more. (Did I really just say that?!)

I don't want to talk about the pace of my first mile. I was interrupted by a couple of trips down the hall but the second mile was pretty good. I may try and go to the apartment complex gym this evening when DH gets home and he can mind the small person.

I think I have my DD convinced to take a nap. I'm going to take advantage of that one. I promised to make a tent on our bed. We'll read a few books and hopefully crash for an hour or so. I'm tired out.

Way to go to all those LOSERS out there! WooHoo! :banana: :cheer2:

Dona, congratulations to your son and your pocket book on that 4 year scholarship! I know how much it costs for me to go part time in state, I can't image what tuition is going to look like when DD gets to college. I might have to sell the hubby so we can afford it. Knowing Delaney she'll want to go somewhere expensive. She never wants to do anything easy, I never knew that 3 1/2 year olds could be so intuitive.

Poor DD is upset today. She has a little boy friend from a class she took, they are literally the same kid different gender, they adore each other. We just found out that he's moving away, she's not happy, poor girl. I took her to go get frozen yogurt after school to cheer her up a bit.

I'd better get that tent up before DD changes her mind about that nap. :rolleyes1

Well, hi everyone. Sorry I've been absent, but after trying to get through a gym workout every day but not succeeding, I finally went to the doc to find out why I had no energy and couldn't breathe...come to find out I've been battling pneumonia! Duh. So I had gained 2 lbs, rather than lose.

Anyway, I'm not completely better yet, but better enough to do light TM walks (no outdoor/cold air workouts for a while). I'm down a lb, so net gain of 1 lb. The good side? All the holiday sweets are gone now, and I'm only eating HEALTHY stuff, so at least I shouldn't gain.

My poor buddy hasn't even heard from me yet...I'm waiting until I can be supportive as well as supported. Hang in there, lilygator!
 
Shoot!! I was so excited last night about weigh in this morning and then I woke up late and totally blipped it. I hope it is ok if I weigh in tomorrow morning and send my weight in then. I don't do weigh ins in the evening, because they are super depressing :sad2:

It's been a freaking hard two weeks. LOL! I've hit the gym a few times, went for walks, used my glider, and shoveled (aka the great New Englander workout). But I'm making it through with the help of my two "buddies" out there. :cheer2:

I lost 1.5 lbs this week... making my total weight list 4.5 lbs!!!

I posted this on another board but don't think i have here.... when i was attending weight watchers mettings my group leader said to think of your weight loss in sticks of butter!! 4 sticks of butter is 1 lbs of butter!!! so with a loss of 4.5 lbs i've lost 18 sticks of butter!!! just gone off my body!!! go carry around 18 sticks of butter and see how heavy that is!! I'm not carrying it around anymore and i feel great!!!

I'm having a great time with my Buddy!! Hi Cathy :jumping1: it's great to have someone to share things with!!

Since I was late in joining, this was my first full week so I am SOOOOOO excited. :cool1: I finally went "public" over the weekend with my plan/goal to lose 40 Lbs. by the time we leave for WDW on August 8. I posted the # of lbs. I want to lose on the white board that is hanging on my fridge. Of course DH, DD and DS wanted to know what the number was but have been very supportive since. My DS gave me a huge hug this morning when I changed the 41 to a 37!!!!! :banana:

Great idea with the white board! I may have to find a way/place to do something similar. That visual is sure to be a big help.
 
I've missed posting on the threads - life is just busy!!

But, I'm excited to say that I had another 3 lb loss this week.

So, now I'm down a total of 6.5 lbs since Jan 1st!!!

I'm really not "dieting", but I'm trying to just be smart about my meals, make better snack choices and no eating after 7pm if at all possible!!! So far, it's working for me!!
