Biggest Loser 2009 - Couples 2

I was cheering her on!! David's attitude was the main reason that Dan had to leave.
I don't think it is. I think it's all team play right now. As long as there is a Jillian team on the chopping block that one will go. Bob's team is picking them off one by one.

DAN...he looked so wonderful!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I really like Danny the most. I was so sad to see him go AND as far as David goes, NOPE, he is not into this at all. I think that is even sadder...to be given this opportunity and not seem to really care. It did say he lost I think 48 lbs so far which is wonderful but look at Danny, it stated he has lost a total of 101 lbs!!! :cheer2:

And I also agree that Joelle has had a reality check. When Bob saw her and said "I didn't expect to see you here".....she knew, she knew....::yes::

Well I don't know about you, but I found this episode to be very enlightening! I learned that I can substitute my booooooring oatmeal with a deeelicious cup of Fiber One™ Cereal, and kick my craving for something sweet by chewing a flavorful piece of Extra™ Sugar-Free Gum. Both of which are conveniently available at my neighborhood Walmart™. :rotfl2:

Should we start taking bets on what next week's exciting product placements will be? :happytv:

:rotfl2: :rotfl2:

Not sure I am liking this season. Since I already knew who would be the bottom 2, I just fast forwarded through most of it. So is brown below the line again next week? I don't like that they are pretty much telling you exactly what happens in the previews. I found Dan the most interesting since he had so much lose. I want to see him do well. I was hoping they would team Dan and the son on brown team up together.

Attention- This just in- David is an idiot.

For future contestants please note- if you fall below the yellow line and you want to go home tell the ppl voting "Meh, it can be done here or at home".

Grrrr. Out of the four on the chopping block Dan NEEDED this the most IMO.

He did need it...but I don't think he's ready for it.

I apologize for asking this...and I don't want to get flamed...

but why are people so negative about the placement ads? Yes, they are cheesy, but they are informative. I would have never known about Extra gum if it wasn't for the show, and several other products I've 'tried' because I saw them on the show.

The show is entertaining, but also set up to be educational to help people. I guess I just see these placement ads as informative and not trying to take advantage of our time.

just wondering...

No flames...they are just irritating. Bob and Jillian don't want to push this stuff but they HAVE TO.
That is the difference.

The product placements are advertisements, pure and simple. They are not there to educate you about stuff. They are there to sell you stuff. And it seems that they are doing a bang-up job :bitelip:.

Oh, and the reason I don't like the product placement ads is that I can't fast forward through them like I do the regular ads. I usually start watching the show at least 30 minutes into it on my DVR and my fast forward button gets a work out! Especially during those high drama weigh ins!

Jillian's face doing the Extra "tip" was hilarious.:rotfl2:

The ads are getting more irritating....it used to be they just went into the stores/showed the names of the products...like last night going in to Walmart and picking up the Foster Farms chicken (it's my chicken brand...I knew it by the packaging) without saying "oh, come over here to the BRITA water bottles to make sure you get your proper water intake":upsidedow

When they used to do the Subway ads they talked about the sandwiches now it's more of a push it up in your face ads.

I was disappointed that Dan went home. I think he learned a lot. 101 lb loss :thumbsup2 David on the other hand :rolleyes2 I wouldn't be surprised at the finale he weighed the same as he started. :sad2: I almost cheered for Tara giving her 2 cents worth.

I just found this board. Poor Dan, but he has definitely made progress! I know he was counting on his partner for support. We have seen David going to the restaurants when he was sent home earlier. Dan was counting on his support thru the weight loss process. I hope he had found some other support members.

And I dont have a problem with spoilers. Does anyone know who is going to the finals. My husband has picked the winner for the last three seasons and I would like to "just know" before he does.LOL

Why don't you think he's ready for it? He went home and so far he has lost 101 pounds, he seems ready to me.

I agree, they don't bother me. I don't see what the big deal is.

I guess the in-show advertising is balanced out by the real advertisements. We had commercials for Denny's Grand Slam Breakfast and also Burger King. Yikes!

I was glad to see that Dan has made great progress on his own. Dave just wasn't "there" and I'm glad Tara gave him a piece of her mind. :thumbsup2

DH and I love the product placement parts of the show....we think they're hysterical. Bob always comes into the kitchen and tells whoever in there he has something perfect for them. You can always tell when a product placement is coming up because the contestants are usually in the kitchen and look nervous about their impending acting job that doesn't sound rehearsed at all :rolleyes1

Last night as soon as I saw the blue team member rummaging around in the fridge, I yelled "Hey DH [OK well I called him by his real name], come here! Bob is about to pimp something!"

My favoirte product placement was the Cool Whip in the can I saw Bob do with one of last season contestants (Shellay's daughter). I mean, this show is about getting healthy, so lets tout a product that has all kinds of nasty stuff in it! They don't bother me but they are sort of funny. And the part where they were eating the Fiber One last night, all proclaiming how delish it was cracked me up. Fiber One is basically a laxative in a bowl. They should have then gone on to do a diddy about the virtues of Charmin bath tissue after they all ate that stuff.

I was really glad to see Joelle turn things around. And was so relieved to see Dan keeping his hard work going.

The brown team dad seemed to be missing from the workouts and challenge (at least we didn't notice him). DH said he was probably spending his time in the bathroom after eating his delicious Fiber One. :rotfl2:

Fiber One makes really good granola bars but my DD10 won't eat them anymore because her teacher said they make you toot! :rotfl:

The fiber one bars really are excellent. We all really like them here! We also like the fiber one pop tarts. Haven't tried the cereal, it doesn't look like it would be very good. Anybody here actually tried it?

Yes, it is great to eat dry. It must have alot of added sugar because it tastes like it.

When we buy it, dd and I eat it as a dry snack.

It actually is a good cereal taste-wise.
