Biggest Loser 11 Spring Team Challenge--for Losers and Maintainers

This is definitely torture sitting in the grand Californian conference room while I see everyone else head to the parks. I think I will skip lunch and roam the parks.

Oh and one of my friends ended up calling me back yesterday so we ended up hiking after all. This weather is killing me. We are in the 90's one day then its cold and rainy the next.

I think "cold" is all relative!! :lmao: Glad you got to go for a hike. And YES, it would be torture to sit there! Go take a ride on CS and come back and tell us about it!

Afternoon Teams!

Yesterday was an emotional day for me. I'm graduating from college on April 30th (which is also Alan's birthday). My late husband Josh, would of celebrated his 28th birthday on April 26th. We're leaving for AZ the day after his birthday.

I did a lot of crying last night. I have gotten used to neither of them being here for holidays, birthday, and anniversaries. However, this was a day Josh was looking forward to. He was excited to watch me walk across that stage. People have said the last few days "Oh he'll be there in spirit". **insert eye roll here**. I know they mean well when they say that but its not the same. Then to add to my craptastic mood I woke up with a headache from hell.

Sorry about the headache from hell.... it definitely will take a toll on your day.

 for you.... nothing much else I can offer, other than prayers for peace for you during this difficult (and exciting) time.

******Good afternoon friends! Thankfully Mother Nature decided that we had enough snow and she turned it around to rain for a bit of time. It has all ended now and while there is still PLENTY of snow here, it seems to be warming up and melting on the roads and driveway. With any luck I won't have to shovel!!!

I decided to serve "dinner" at lunch time, since DD will be gone to a friend's house tonight. I made pork chow mein from a recipe I got here last year (can't remember who posted it, but it is GREAT!). So now today's big meal is out of the way and cleaned up and dinner will be easy.... maybe tuna soft tacos or green salads topped with tuna....I try to serve fish when I know DD will be gone.

After I drop DD off tonight I'm gonna make a quick stop at the store to be sure I have everything I need for a successful week on my new hybrid plan.... South Beach Phase 1, but limited to WW points. So lots of veggies, some lowfat cheese sticks for snacks, eggs, and low-carb veggie burgers. Anything else I need??

Well.... I cleaned up the kitchen after lunch and then ran upstairs and cleaned my bathroom. DS vacuumed the stairs for me. So now I can scrap.... if I can get off the computer and get up there!

TTYL....................P

Eep. I can't keep up with this thread -- my attention span's worse than my 3 year old's. I've been lurky-loo'ing though. :surfweb:

Hope everyone's well.

My minor triumph: the belt I normally wear with jeans -- which used to religiously sit done up on the 3rd hole in -- is now on the 5th and getting loose. Might be time to dig out the smaller belt. It's those small things that get me all :woohoo: Not bothered trying on any of the old clothes yet because I don't want to disappoint myself. ;)

I'd recommend you take a gander at this list of foods and see if anything strikes your fancy; it includes dairy from the most recent SB version, which the older book doesn't. Some of the foods that helped me immensely were yogurt (fat free Greek, Fage brand) and lots of beans (black, kidney, pink). Hope that helps. :goodvibes

Good Friday morning Teams. We made it to Friday.

lisah0711 did you have a great spring break? We still have 2 weeks to go. I can't wait.

TGIF is right, dona! ::yes:: We did have a nice spring break. It was very rainy but we expect that in our neck of the woods -- it is why it is so green here! :umbrella:

Feel a million times better than yesterday so I must've just needed a day of rest. Someone said it may have been allergies acting up though there are definitely no allergens out there today.

Glad that you are feeling better today, Tracey! :thumbsup2

Congrats to all our WINners! Interestingly enough, some of my measurements are starting to go back up, specifically my arms. Not much fat left, and I am building muscle, so that's kind of cool.:goodvibes

That is very cool, Rose! :cool2: And no you don't have much fat left at all -- you need to keep a little for your curves you know! ;)

Oh boy... you are going to laugh but the brussel sprouts were amazing. I know most people aren't a fan, but I've actually only had them once and that's where it was. They basically cook them with heavy cream, applewood smoked bacon and I'm sure a bunch of spices, but they were so good I asked the waiter to find out how they made them.

DH loves brussel sprouts so let me know if you get the recipe -- sounds rich but would work for a treat. :goodvibes

Sorry for snow! Is it two or three more week-ends until tax season is over? :flower3:

sorry your friends canceled. before i started training for the half marathon i was like you and felt like i needed someone around to motivate me. but one day i just couldn't wait anymore and went out for a run/walk. nobody can do the exercise for you so i say go for that hike and leave the other two in the dust (easier said than done though, i know).

Very good advise, Nancy! Enjoy your pony ride! :goodvibes

We had a great time on our spring break road trip. We drove from Coeur d'Alene to Seattle and picked my Mom up at the airport -- she lives in Phoenix but has a place in Gig Harbor WA. We did the Seattle tourist things -- Tacoma Glass Museum, Pike Place Market, Pacific Science Center. Then we drove to Vancouver BC for one night. It is a beautiful city. We went to the aquarium there. I wish we would have had more time in Vancouver. I also got in trouble at the border because apparently I didn't sign my passport. :rotfl: We dropped my Mom off at the airport yesterday and came home. Thanks for asking!

I'm glad the snake was found although I think you had a good point that it is awfully cold in the Bronx compared to Egypt. ;)

Hope that the tummy is better today. :flower3:

Better than a cobra.:rotfl2:

Never give up, no matter how many times you fall off the wagon, just get back up and try again. If you're trying, you are doing better than giving up.:)

::yes:: So true!

Thanks, Kathy! It is so wonderful to see so many old friends here. I have really missed my WISH friends! Yes, you met my dear, sweet friend, Carrie, whose screen name is wtpclc. Isn't she a darling? She has been instrumental in my improved confidence levels from my first Disney race to my last. I am so glad she was helpful to you. :goodvibes

I remember Carrie, too, she was very nice. All the WISHers are so nice -- it really makes the race experience! princess:

Got a beautiful picture of a male and female cardinal at my feeder with snow falling around them this morning.... guess this will be a good start for my Picture of the day for April.

Oh, I would love to see your cardinal pictures, Pamela. I've always wanted to see a cardinal in the wild. :donald: (This is the closest thing to a bird emoticon we have! :rotfl:)

This is definitely torture sitting in the grand Californian conference room while I see everyone else head to the parks. I think I will skip lunch and roam the parks.

Enjoy your lunch break, Jeanette! :goodvibes

Yesterday was an emotional day for me. I'm graduating from college on April 30th (which is also Alan's birthday). My late husband Josh, would of celebrated his 28th birthday on April 26th. We're leaving for AZ the day after his birthday.

I am so sorry for your loss but am happy that you have things to celebrate now, too.

Missoutandabout thanks for the list of low carb foods! :thumbsup2

Whew! I think I am caught up here now. Off to run a few errands and will be back later!

Lisa--glad your trip was fun! I have a brussel sprout recipe that I made recently that I will try to find. It was pretty yummy. And that's funny that you want to see a cardinal. We have them all over the place. They like to hang out in the burning bushes in our neighborhood. I have always wanted to see an oriole in the wild. The night Mike and I came home from Princess we were walking to the car and there was a huge owl on top of the parking garage at the airport. It was midnight and he was just sitting there, hanging out in the middle of the city. It was very cool.

Ok, I am going to come clean here in the hopes that I get my act together. I have been wallowing in self-pity this week. I am a big believer that sometimes you just have to have a little pity-party, grieve what you need to grieve and move-on, but I have let this go on too long.

Between the food (I had g-f burn-out this week) and the messed up leg, I was just about ready to throw the towel in. My knee is still a mess and I just have really been struggling with the food. I made the very (un)wise decision last night to have regular beer and french fries when we went out, I decided I didn't care. Let's just say gluten is not my friend, and my body has been very unhappy with me today. Lesson learned.:thumbsup2 I'm taking a couple of days off from all exercise except my rehab stuff and Monday I'll be back at the chiropractor. As for the food--I'm back on the g-f bandwagon.:goodvibes I'm going to keep working on my patience and maybe look to my friends for a few more hugs until things get a little more back to normal. Exercise is my stress reliever and obviously I am not handling things very well right now. But I will just keep swimming. :goodvibes

Rose- Let me be the first to send you a big, fat hug! I am so sorry that your theory about needing to be g-f was so on target and that you learned it the hard way. And I can definitely relate to the serious need to have that stress reliever of running or doing some intense cardio. Let me just say I think you are doing amazing. And speaking of swimming, any chance that might be the answer for you for the interim?

Thanks Cam. :goodvibes I keep thinking of you and what you went through last summer and tell myself to get it together! (Though I must say I have a very impressive bruise right now. It starts at my knee and goes towards my hip for about 8 inchs and is about two inches wide. No pain no gain, I guess.) Anyhow, I am a horrible swimmer, though I keep talking about lessons, so maybe it's time! Mike keeps saying we should do a water aerobics class, I just need to go get a one piece that fits. Thanks for the reminder.:goodvibes

Has Andrew decided about school?

I'm here. Been busy, it's a big week at school. Things should slow down on Monday after book fair gets packed up and shipped back.

The brain game was a blast! We have another one tonight and we've invited area schools to participate. I hope it turns out well!!!

sounds like a fun trip! i would love to tour out west one day. you didn't sign your passport? whoops! good thing you were only coming from canada back to the US. if you were coming from some third world country they'd probably still have you locked up!:scared1:

Let's just say gluten is not my friend, and my body has been very unhappy with me today.

it's so strange that your gluten allergy tests came back negative and yet you most definitely must have an allergy to it. that stinks. i'm with you on the need to have a pity party every now and again. i've been sulking for the past two weeks. i'll snap out of it though. just gotta pick yourself back up.

as for me, nothing really new to report. my stomach issues ARE still around. i think it may be the prenatal vitamin i've been taking? i didn't take it yesterday and was ok. took one this morning and spent most of the afternoon in the bathroom. i can't take it anymore! my poor son is bored out of his mind with me. we did spend the morning at Wee Play which he LOVES but we needed to leave after only an hour or so b/c i had to GO. and i barely made it home. BARELY.

ok, this is way too much sharing on my part. i'm just so frustrated that i can't get rid of this. hopefully it's the vitamin and i'll be on my way to better soon!

have a great friday evening everyone. DH is picking up pizza for himself, a big salad for me (with mozz cheese of course) and DS and i will split a slice. then...i'll probably be in bed by 8:30! lol!

Evening All!

I have been and am quite sick. I thought that I had an ear infection so I went to the doctor today, and behold, I do not. If only I knew why my ears hurt so :confused3. I do have something bacterial, so I'm on an antibiotic, plus something for my cough. Add that to the meds I already take and I feel like a pharmacy. ;)

I apologize profusely for not posting this week's Healthy Habits. It didn't even register that today is Friday. :headache: I had been toiling with the idea of another pamper week, and this seems like the perfect time for one, so that is my game plan. There are no HH points to count this week. This week is all about you!

COW Pamper Week, Saturday:
1. Give 5 hugs.
2. Drink an extra glass of water.
3. Read a good book.

Aww, sorry that you are having tummy troubles again, Rose. I don't blame you for being sad and frustrated. I hope that you will give swimming a try and that it works in the interim for you. It is supposed to be great cross training for running.

Rose- Let me be the first to send you a big, fat hug! I am so sorry that your theory about needing to be g-f was so on target and that you learned it the hard way. That is a bummer about your stomach but I bet you are right that it is related to the vitamins. Hope that you feel better tomorrow after a good night's sleep.

Evening All!

I have been and am quite sick. I thought that I had an ear infection so I went to the doctor today, and behold, I do not.

Sorry that you have the crud, CC. Hope that you are feeling better soon and thanks for the pampering week. :flower3:

BRB with the QOTD for tomorrow.

This is the time in the challenge where we start to find ourselves in a bit of a funk. The fun and excitement of our new lifestyles is wearing thin. Life happens and throws a bunch of obstacles in our way and, quite frankly, some of this stuff just isn't so fun anymore. :sad2: When this happens sometimes it helps to review what has worked and what hasn't and maybe try a few new things. So my theme for the week is "back to basics." And, of course, I have my handy, dandy friend sparkpeople.com to help! ;)

So I have a little quiz for you called Are You Prepared to Reach Your Goals? which starts by saying:

One of the reasons so many people fail to reach their goals--whether losing weight, exercising consistently or eating healthier--is because they fail to prepare. Anyone can set a goal, but it takes preparation, planning and motivation to see it through to the end. Take this assessment to find out if you're on the right track to reaching your goals!

Here is the link to the quiz:

http://www.sparkpeople.com/resource/assessment_questions.asp?quizid=52

So the QOTD is QOTD Saturday 4/2/11 Are you prepared to reach your goals? You can take the quiz and tell us your answer or just tell us how you feel and whether you feel like you are prepared to reach your goal.

Have a great evening all!

Goodnight everyone!

I have a busy weekend ahead of me.

Saturday: Getting up early and getting ready for the day. Going to try to get some homework done. Then leaving around 1130am to head to our shop. We're doing a grand opening cook out from Noon to 3.

Then coming home and doing more homework and getting a workout in.

Sunday, finishing up homework and watching Wrestlemania!

Monday - Getting my butt back into the gym for the first time in over a week.

Thanks Cam. :goodvibes I keep thinking of you and what you went through last summer and tell myself to get it together! (Though I must say I have a very impressive bruise right now. It starts at my knee and goes towards my hip for about 8 inchs and is about two inches wide. No pain no gain, I guess.) Thanks for the reminder.:goodvibes

Has Andrew decided about school?

Rose- I am so sorry about the pain and the bruise. Ouch! I am having such a tough time with the fact that my knee just doesn't work right anymore. I am going to attempt another 5k tomorrow but it's distressing to have lost everything I'd worked for. I am really eager to hear about you running again.

Oh, and Andrew may forgo that huge scholarship at Carolina to go to UD. The program for his major is much better here and I'm hoping it's mostly that and not the fact that his GF is a HS junior at a HS near here. :rolleyes1

Ugh! Lost most of my post. Can't figure how to do this on my iPad.

Lisa- thanks for asking about my knee. I can't imagine the rest of my life not being able to run or squat or kneel comfortably. Then again, I should be grateful for being able to walk.

CC - I am so sorry you are sick. I hope the antibiotics work quickly and that you can relax a bit this weekend and get better.

Christina - have a great time today at your grand opening cook-out!

Have a great weekend, everyone!

This thread is so fast moving!!!! :scared1:

So, I just finished 90 days of P90X and what am I going to do? I am going to Disney World. Yoo Hoo!!!

Lets keep up the good work everyone.

Dave
Hi Janis,
I started P90X on January 1st (Weight Watchers on December 16th) and it came hard at first. I did have a goal to complete it by our vacation and that kept me going. The hardest part was just pressing the "play" button everyday. Once the workout started I was fine.

If you go to Team Mickey and go back a few pages from the last page you can see my progress. It does work. I started at 296.6 and My last weigh-in as 253.0 pounds. Plus I have lost 5.5 inches on my waist.

Tell your husband good luck, do his best and forget the rest.

Dave

Wow! What an accomplishment! I keep seeing the infomercials for P90X and keep debating myself on whether to order it. But a number of people that have tried it keep telling me that you really need to be in pretty good athletic shape to even attempt it. What do you think?

And I used to work around chlorine bleach all the time and every one of my jeans that "fit" had bleach holes in them. There in the corner of the closet was a pair of jeans that looked brand new. I picked them up and checked the size and there was no way I was going to fit into them.

You see, when I started this program the pants size I squeezed into was 44" (should have been at least 46" though, you know what I mean.)

But I thought "Why not? I know they won't fit but at least I can see the change and maybe I would be close." And you know what I am going to say don't you...they slid on like they were made for this moment. And as always I checked the pockets and found an old ticket stub from the last time I wore them. On November 12, 2003 we saw The Haunted Mansion.

Guess what I am wearing today. My "bleach-less" jeans, size 40".

Dave

Another WOW! What a great story. Congrats!

lisah0711 is week's prize winner!

Sorry I read the first page, but still am not sure how this works. Any hints?

Good morning everyone. I had so much fun reading everyone's favorite tv shows and remembering so many that I didn't think of yesterday. And feeling old when you all were watching things like care bears which I watched with my nephew. What a fun question. I did for get I loved the Monkees!! I wish may was a good time for us to do disney so I could see davy jones at the flower power concert series.

I can’t believe that I forgot to say the Monkees. I never missed this show as a young teen. Not to make you too jealous, but I am going to be there for his concert. I just love going this time of year. I can’t believe that we will be there in 5 weeks. Oh, and Vern Yip is going to be there the same week too!

One comment I made earlier that got deleted I wanted to repeat, cause I'd like some feedback. I'm thinking of trying two weeks of South Beach Diet, Phase 1 to see if I can shake off this final 3-5 pounds that I've been struggling with for a year now. I LOVE WW and will continue to count my points... but I feel like a change in WHAT I eat might help.

I feel like I eat really healthy and most of my carbs are the "right" carbs.... but I'm sure that I could definitely benefit from reducing my carb intake.

I tried Atkins for about 10 days many years ago when DH was doing it and I found it pretty nearly intolerable after those 10 days. But I also felt, all along, that Atkins was NOT healthy... and I still feel that way. It seems like SB is a much healthier way to go if you are trying to reduce carbs.

It would definitely be a BIG change in my eating.... I eat a Sandwich Thin, whole wheat english muffin, or oat bran/flaxseed pita pocket EVERY DAY.... sometimes more than once. Plus, of course, I eat about two servings of fruit every day.... and other high GI vegetables... sweet potato, parsnips, onions, carrots. But for two weeks, I think I could definitely make the change.

Anyone want to comment on this idea??? I know LTS would love to talk about South Beach, but of course, she is gone for the next two weeks..... figures!

South Beach is a great way to lose weight. But it is really more of a lifestyle change to me than a diet. Phase 1 will usually take quite a few pounds off in two weeks. I see that you are posting on the South Beach Diet thread. You should get some good advice there too. I know a lot of people think that South Beach is low carb. But really it is good carbs. It is not like Atkins. You get to eat most veggies and nonfat dairy even in Phase 1. I did South Beach a number of years ago and took off quite a few pounds and kept it off eating Phase 3. But then things went pretty crazy in my life and I put all of it plus some back on. But now I am getting geared up to start Phase 1 this Monday. It does take a lot of meal planning and a good shopping list. But it is pretty easy to follow.

QOTD 3/31/11 Thursday
If you could only stay at Disney for one night and full day, what would you do? Would you spend the money on a one day pass or would you just hang out outside the parks?

I would stay in a 1-bedroom at BCV with DH and spend the day at EPCOT and swimming at SAB. Top it off with dinner at the Flying Fish and a romantic Illuminations cruise. YIKES! I can't wait to be there in 5 weeks!

QOTD Friday April 1st: Great news! The Biggest Loser folks have heard about our wonderful challenge and want to use your best tips for a healthy lifestyle from us in their new book. The bad news is that there is so much great information here that they can only take ONE tip from each of us. So please share your very best piece of advice for a healthy lifestyle.

I know this is a bit of a gag. But I am torn. Drinking lots of water is really important. But I think that I would go with my new motto: If you over indulge in a meal, start over right then and there. Don't wait till Monday or even the next day to start eating healthy again. And don't punish yourself! If you ate a piece of cake at lunch, don't try to deprive yourself at dinner to make up for it. That will just sets me up for failure.

I'm here. Been busy, it's a big week at school. Things should slow down on Monday after book fair gets packed up and shipped back.

The brain game was a blast! We have another one tonight and we've invited area schools to participate. I hope it turns out well!!!
Hi Buffy!:goodvibes Hope things slow down for you soon.

it's so strange that your gluten allergy tests came back negative and yet you most definitely must have an allergy to it. that stinks. i'm with you on the need to have a pity party every now and again. i've been sulking for the past two weeks. i'll snap out of it though. just gotta pick yourself back up.
Surprisingly it is pretty common to have a negative blood test for gluten. Some people don't produce enough antibodies and some people just "aren't sick enough" for them to show up. I'm having some more tests run and should hear something next week. But honestly, I have no doubt anymore. I felt horrid yesterday. Bloated stomach, pain, cramps, tons of air bubbles. Feeling a little better today. Hopefully I have learned my lesson this time.:thumbsup2

I hope the gummy vitamin helps.:goodvibes

CC--feel better. And please do not stress about the HHs this week if you are feeling cruddy.

:rolleyes1
Oh, the girlfriend dilemma...Whatever he decides I hope he is happy.:goodvibes It's hard to go away to school. I'm sorry about the knee. I soooo get it. It's the worst thing when your body does not cooperate. Mentally, this has been a huge challenge for me, but I think I am learning a lot about myself. So I am trying to see it as a growth opportunity.:goodvibes I hope the 5k is fun!

QOTD--Friday--this is a marathon, not a sprint.:goodvibes

QOTD--Saturday--I took the quiz and I am ready to reach my goal. I would like to take three more pounds off my maintain weight and then I am done! This probably won't make a lot of sense to the new folks--why go to maintain if you still want to lose??? Well, It has taken me 7 months to lower my maintain 9 pounds. When I went to maintain I was starting to obsess about losing, and this has worked a lot better for me. Plus I really believe that most people will reach a point where without extreme measures they will stop losing. I think I am getting close to that point, so taking it off very slowly has worked really well.:goodvibes

Have a great Saturday everyone!:goodvibes

Ok, I am going to come clean here in the hopes that I get my act together. I have been wallowing in self-pity this week. I am a big believer that sometimes you just have to have a little pity-party, grieve what you need to grieve and move-on, but I have let this go on too long.

I am dittoing this rose. We can do this together!!!! Im done with my pity party too.

as for me, nothing really new to report. my stomach issues ARE still around. i think it may be the prenatal vitamin i've been taking? i didn't take it yesterday and was ok. took one this morning and spent most of the afternoon in the bathroom. i can't take it anymore! my poor son is bored out of his mind with me. we did spend the morning at Wee Play which he LOVES but we needed to leave after only an hour or so b/c i had to GO. and i barely made it home. BARELY.

I had the same issues with the vits during my pregnancy too. I started taking them at night shortly after dinner and it helped. Sorry you are feeling crappy. I totally can sympathize. Hang in there.

PS. I was glad to see they got the cobra;)

I have been and am quite sick. I thought that I had an ear infection so I went to the doctor today, and behold, I do not. If only I knew why my ears hurt so :confused3. I do have something bacterial, so I'm on an antibiotic, plus something for my cough. Add that to the meds I already take and I feel like a pharmacy. ;)

Sorry your sick CC. I love your pamper ideas for the week and am definitely going to follow through with those. Feel better soon.

Oh, and Andrew may forgo that huge scholarship at Carolina to go to UD. The program for his major is much better here and I'm hoping it's mostly that and not the fact that his GF is a HS junior at a HS near here. :rolleyes1

Cam this is why I will be locking my boys in their room through high school.:lmao: Just kidding. I hope he is able to make the right choice for both himself and his future. Im sure both schools are great.

Lisa when I read this question I actually thought you were serious for a second and got all excited.:rotfl2:

My tip would be: When all else fails try, try again.

I have been in a self induced pity party lately too. Not even sure the main reasons why. Partially I think its this never ending dreary weather, I am not getting out running mainly due to my own fault of not planning and using excuses, and I have just been eating whatever which we all know that is not a healthy lifestyle. So today I am proclimating a new start yet again. Like I said when all else fails TRY TRY again. Im not giving up!!!!!

I have a book from prevention magazine called the 2 week turn around. It is a 2 wk eating/exersize plan mainly to use to kick start your weight loss. It basically is portion control/and follows the food pyramid of how much protien, carbs, fat, fruits, veggies you should have, etc. So here is what I am eating today.

BF- whole grain cereal w/ FF milk, strawberries, turkey bacon
a.m. snack- cheese stick, pear
lunch- rotissere chicken, tomato, and ff mayo on one slice of wg bread
pm snack- 8oz of ff milk
dinner- broiled fish, steamed broccoli, and 1 slice of wg bread

The exercise plan is a half hour of walk/run at different intensities so I will incorparate that into my run today. It also requires a half hour of strenght exercise too.

I am looking forward to the day today. We also are taking Nick to Toys r us to make a short wish list for his bday. My family always wants specific ideas so this should be helpful for them. I also am going to my cousins purse party tonight and I am hoping I can control myself when the snacks come out.

Have a great day!!!!

So the QOTD is QOTD Saturday 4/2/11 Are you prepared to reach your goals? You can take the quiz and tell us your answer or just tell us how you feel and whether you feel like you are prepared to reach your goal.
I did the quiz and got on the way, but I don't feel like I"m as on the way as I was last year when I did the quiz or one like it before. I remember before I had the princess half as my goal, and was really motivated. My goal now is Onederland, but I'm heading away from it the past 2 weeks, and to keep run/walking 3-5 days a week, and am pretty much making the 3. Looking for the motivation this morning to get out there. The sun is shining, it's about 40 degrees, so I have no excuse.

Thanks Lisa for getting me to look at my goals. I think I am going to get out all my ww materials, and sit down, maybe get a new journal, and start fresh this weekend.

Ok, I'm very jealous, but happy for you. I do expect a picture posted here after your vacation.

That's all we can do it keep on trying. Your plan looks good, and you can so do it Good luck today, and have fun at Toys R Us.

CC- Sorry you are feeling so poorly. I hope you are feeling better soon, and like Rose said, don't worry about the hh if you're not feeling up to it. We can continue saturday through the week. Everyone could always use extra hugs. Take care.

Pamela- Good luck with the south beach. My friend Jane who was near her goal weight, in the high 140s, started atkins after the holidays, and she has loved it and has lost 17 pounds. I think mixing it up can make a big difference, and I hope you'll see those last few pounds fly away. I'm thinking maybe I need to do something different from ww to get my focus back.

Cam- Yes, it was Carrie and she was so nice. So sorry your knee has been giving you so much trouble. Good luck with the race today!!

Ok, I'm going to get moving now and put in some laundry, do last nights dishes, and am hoping to meet my friend and run at 10:30. I'm on call this weekend and the hospital just called but it was just with a question, so I'm hoping I don't get called in. I hope the good weather is motivating. I just had a banana and will have a yogurt before I go. Starting off on the right foot.

Have a great weekend everyone!!:)
