Biggest Loser 11 Spring Team Challenge--for Losers and Maintainers

Pam- Here's the recipe for the scallion pancakes: http://familyfun.go.com/recipes/scallion-pancakes-828557/ Really easy and quite tasty!

The Royal Wedding is Friday April 29th. Coverage starts here at 4AM! I've bee a follower of the British Royal Family since Princess Diana. My sister-in-law and I are spending the day together watching it! She's going to spend the night and then we'll have British treats and tea all day! I'm so excited!

Had my shake and now my tea. Ash is being difficult this morning about eating half a banana! This is going to be a LONG day! Izzie is still in her growth spurt mode. She's had a chocolate chip muffin, half a banana and now is having a yogurt! She just can't seem to get enough to eat! Trying to get more healthy stuff in the kids. I bought apples and bananas yesterday as well as 2 heads of lettuce. I'm going to shred some of the lettuce and use the rest on my burger and in a salad today.

Gotta finish getting myself ready for church...brush teeth and put shoes on and find a sweater as it's a bit chilly!

Hello everyone. We just got back from our cruise and I just saw that I was #1 for last week. I am afraid to step on the scales tomorrow morning. We had a great trip though and I will just get back on-plan.

Welcome back, Kristi! :goodvibes Glad that you had a great time and you have the right idea to just get back on track right away! :thumbsup2

4 assignments left and my Bachelors is complete. I'm going to busy from tomorrow through the end of next week trying to get everything done and turned in.

44 days til our May trip! I can't wait to spend 8 nights at Baylake!!

Wow! Wouldn't that be great to be done by the end of the week? :goodvibes

I do like to have a few grown up drinks, but I know that's not what we're looking for here. Getting out for a walk/run or bike ride, mindlessly surfing the internet will help decrease the stress some days. I would say I'm not a high stress person, and when I'm really feeling it, I might talk to a friend about it. I absolutely love planning vacations, and having something to look forward to, even if it's one night away somewhere. I'm planning our summer vacation now, but want to keep the costs down this year, so I'm toying with different options.

::yes:: I like a grown up drink to wind down, too. :goodvibes I also like to read or come on the Disboards! ;)

:rotfl2: So not ready for this. When I picked up michael the other day he was joking around with a girl in his afterschool club, teasing each other, and when we got home he had a note from her that said, "love ya, sweet thang." and he was going to save it. The only comfort about the girl thing is it should make him want to shower eventually. :lmao:

Won't that be a wonderful thing? :rotfl:

tomorrow is my first OB appt. i am trying not to freak out and just tell myself that whatever will be, will be. but i think we all know how that is easier said than done! kind of goes with lisa's stress QOTD - you can't control the stress but you can control how you deal with it. so, i will try to be active and keep my thoughts on other things until 3pm tomorrow instead of just sitting around and eating everything in sight (what i'd normally do).

Nancy, good luck tomorrow. I will be thinking of you and sending good thoughts your way. :flower3: Have fun at the zoo today! I'd steer clear of the reptile house? ;)

QOTD-- this is my normal stress reliever--* Nothing short of an intense workout And it works great, as long as I am injury free. Yesterday I bought some books and I'm hoping that helps a little this week. I am also hoping to get outside this week, since the weather will be better. And last, I'm working on changing my idea of what constitutes exercise. Not getting what I consider exercise stresses me out. I read an article yesterday that talked about injuries and recovering and I think I really need to work on my attitude. So here's an excerpt from the article by Ann Schofield:
PEP TALK
It will help to consider those first early runs as “therapy” for the injured limb, rather than training for improved performance. To be limited to a five minute run is frustrating and may seem like a waste of time unless you keep in mind the real purpose of the run.

When returning from any injury, go out with a positive attitude and keep the specific goal for that particular run in mind. You’re out there for rehabilitation, not a personal best. This run has its place just like any other run in your program. Understand the necessity for gradual return and set yourself up for success.

It’s tempting to run for longer than planned, especially if you feel good, but you can do that the next time out. Respect the limitations your injury has placed upon you and you’ll recover faster. We often have to learn the hard way; instead try learning the smart way.

Here's the thing--I need to let go of the idea that just because I can't workout hard and burn a ton of calories, it does not mean I will gain back a ton of weight and fall off the wagon. This has been part of what has really been stressing me out. I need to work on the idea that I am not going to fail this time, because that would mean quitting and I am not quitting!:goodvibes

Good question for today Lisa! I went for a walk yesterday and my knee was really bothering me, which was getting me down, again! I hope your hips are feeling better soon!

Great article, Rose! :thumbsup2 Sounds like just what you needed yesterday. I have total faith in you that you will never fall totally off the wagon and gain back a ton of weight ever again.

I was reading Jeff Galloway about injuries and thought of you. He suggested that vitamin C will help speed healing. I know I haven't taken my multivitamin this week so I'm going to get that going again today -- might help the hips. And the fact that you can do some activity is helping you to maintain your conditioning. I will be interested to hear what the chiropractor has to say tomorrow! :flower3:

hi everyone! DJust popping in to say hello. It has been a busy week so I am glad to get back on track for a new week ahead. Walking more and eating less, so lets hope the scale shows a loss this week. I bought a couple new shirts this week and was able to get a size smaller! That made me feel good.

:woohoo: for a new, smaller size! Doesn't it feel great?

Honestly.... it might just be a mental thing, but I swear my belly feels flatter already! I've been feeling so gross and bloated lately and I've been attributing it to various "female" issues (which I truly have), but maybe they aren't all to blame! We'll see how this goes over the next few days.

Sounds like the no carb thing is working for you, Pamela! :thumbsup2 Isn't that interesting that might be the just the thing that you needed? :flower3: Sorry about the female issues.

Guess I will be watching this with my Mom again as I will be in Arizona that day. There is a whole website about the Royal Wedding. They seem to be doing a good job of being sensible and sensitive to the economic situation in England. Who doesn't love a good royal wedding? :bride:

I have the usual round of laundry and housework to get ready for another week today. I'll try to fit some pampering in there, too, CC.

Have a great day all!

pjlla - Baylake is our home resort (DVC members). This will be our 2nd time there. Since joining DVC in spring of 2009 we've stayed at SSR (x2), BLT (x3, staying again in Nov for my birthday), and this September AKV Kidani Village.

i think that is a really good point. trying to rush the healing of an injury just because you feel better one day can cause way more damage than good. that being said, it can be so depressing not being able to get out and do what you want to do. i want to run but i've been feeling really lousy so i just can't get out. and when i hurt my foot last fall i was really devastated. but there ARE other ways to get healthy exercise in and you will NOT gain the weight back!! hang in there. (i know, easier said than done).

I'll make myself a lowfat almond milk latte this afternoon as a treat!

that sounds...i dunno...how are almond milk lattes??

Okay..... I gotta admit, I know NOTHING about this Royal wedding. Is it coming up soon?? I think I might DVR it if I know when it is.

i know when it is (my friends are getting married the day after but i have no interest in it. that being said, i'm sure i'll take a gander at her dress and all that. i think kate is VERY pretty!

Glad to hear you have a plan to get through today's stress! I will say a pray for you and the baby in church this morning. I think everything will be just fine! No reason to think otherwise, right?

you're right. there shouldn't be a reason to think otherwise! i keep telling myself that. but after having dealt with miscarriage it's always on my mind. still, doesn't help to think anything but positive!

Eating at the banquet was another thing.... the menu was pasta salad, caesar salad, penne with tomato sauce, penne with cream sauce, french fries, chicken fingers, rolls and cake!!!!!!!! Oh well... two plates of salad with the croutons picked out and three glasses of seltzer with lemon was my evening meal... until I got home.

wow, not exactly a south beach friendly menu, huh? good for you for sticking to it! if i see penne i usually shove my whole face in the plate! lol!

hmm..maybe i COULD get excited if i were watching the wedding with a friend. sounds like you'll have a fun time! what kind of british treats will you have? i saw on one of the gossip shows about how they are already starting to create the canapes and finger foods. yum!

Nancy, good luck tomorrow. I will be thinking of you and sending good thoughts your way. :flower3: Have fun at the zoo today! I'd steer clear of the reptile house? ;)

thanks lisa  you're the best. oh...and the reptile house is STILL closed! what the?? makes me wonder what the heck is going on over there. we rode the carousel a bunch of times today at the zoo and saw the sea lion feeding. very fun day and the little guy is STILL napping!

*******

well, i did a little elliptical workout today instead of going to church. whoops. oh well, it was my little way of pampering i guess :confused3

at the zoo today DH and i were talking about upcoming disney trips. assuming everything goes well, the baby would be due at the end of november which makes the january marathon trip just not in the cards. our maui trip is eating into all of DH's vacation for 2011 but we were thinking that maybe he could take off maybe two days in september and we could do a quick thurs-sun trip to disney. one last as a family of three. i still sort of in this mourning period - like it's the end of an era on thomas as an only child and i feel like one last disney trip would be really nice. sure, i'll be huge then but the pool will feel great and we'll just take our time. then, we're hoping for a may 2012 trip. by then thomas will be almost 3 and the little munchkin will be 6 months. anyway, i'm excited at the idea of squeezing in a disney trip! then of course january 2013 i WILL do that marathon :)

I didn't pull out the ww stuff, but I am going to make a plan for meals for this week, and journal my food again. The sun is shining, so I need to get moving.

Have a great sunday.:)
I hope you came up with a good plan for the week, Kathy!:goodvibes

I"ll hop on later after church to catch up with things.....P
Could it be no gluten yesterday.;) That helps with my bloated tummy.:thumbsup2 Seriously, I did sb and every pound seemed to come off my stomach. I just stuck with phase 1 way too long (over a month) which was not a good choice for me. I think it is definitely a good kick start program.

I read that about Vit. c too. I have been trying to take my multi and my d everyday. I am in such a better mood when I remember my vit. d. I hope your hips feel better soon. Is it the outside? Just be careful--your itb starts at your hips. And I've heard it can cause all kinds of problems.:thumbsup2 I'm curious as to what he says tomorrow, too, because my hip has been really sore--I think from some of the rehab exercises. And the bruise is HUGE!

I know when you should go--Sept. 29-Oct. 4. (Guess when we will be there?)

Well, I had a pretty good day. I went to Target while Mike was running. Then we went to JCPenney and Whole Foods and Home Depot. It is gorgeous here today. I have the windows open! Just fabulous! The car said 82! I got 2 new pairs of shorts, a skirt, a dress, two summery sweaters and a shirt. Very exciting! I decided to try to make one of my old bathing suits work because the one pieces were icky.

I hope everyone has a great Sunday. I'm going to go sit outside and watch Mike cut the grass. Being injured should have at least one perk, right?:rotfl:

Nancy- Not sure what British treats we will have that day! We have a British Imports store about 5 minutes from here so I will be visiting them soon to stock up. We will probably order fish and chips for lunch! I emailed the store yesterday to see what they have for Royal Wedding stuff. Haven't heard back from them yet.

:cool1::cool1:Kingdom Keepers IV is on its way!!!! So excited!!!!!:cool1::cool1:

Burgers were really good but really bad for us. Only drinking water the rest of the day! I had 2 BL Limes with the burger. The fries were good and then I added salsa con queso and leftover bacon and chorizo! Definitely PMS!

Got 5 bags of clothes for BBBS tomorrow. I also just finished folding all the laundry. The rest of the family is still playing Lego Star Wars. I hope to get some more things cleaned up around here tomorrow morning before heading to work. I also need to stock up on allergy pills for all of us so I will probably run to CVS in the morning.

Not cooking supper tonight. If anyone wants something they can make it themselves! We didn't eat lunch until after 2 so I can't even think about eating. I may have a Skinny Cow later.

Back to my water!!!

TTFN :tigger:

I just lost my post and since it was a pity party, I'm only going to post tomorrow's Pampering.

Pamper Week, Monday:
1. Enjoy an extra serving of fruit or veggies.
2. Take a short- or long- walk.
3. Make someone laugh.

Hope everyone has a great day tomorrow!

This thread moves fast! Just jumping in to catch up and say hello before I do a couple of hours of work and head to bed.

I am so done with snow. But it could be worse, we could live in nh with Pjlla!

I am with you, hopefully it'll be gone for good now.

This is definitely torture sitting in the grand Californian conference room while I see everyone else head to the parks. I think I will skip lunch and roam the parks.

I had training at the Yacht Club resort and it was torture indeed :rotfl:

Yesterday was an emotional day for me. I'm graduating from college on April 30th (which is also Alan's birthday). My late husband Josh, would of celebrated his 28th birthday on April 26th. We're leaving for AZ the day after his birthday.

I did a lot of crying last night. I have gotten used to neither of them being here for holidays, birthday, and anniversaries. However, this was a day Josh was looking forward to. He was excited to watch me walk across that stage. People have said the last few days "Oh he'll be there in spirit". **insert eye roll here**. I know they mean well when they say that but its not the same. Then to add to my craptastic mood I woke up with a headache from hell.

Sorry to hear that you've been going through so much, but graduation is a great accomplishment and you deserve to celebrate in addition to your sadness. Hope it was amazing

DH loves brussel sprouts so let me know if you get the recipe -- sounds rich but would work for a treat. :goodvibes

Sorry for snow! Is it two or three more week-ends until tax season is over? :flower3:

Let me see if I can find it on-line somewhere.

Less than two weeks now and only 1 Saturday left :woohoo:

Between the food (I had g-f burn-out this week) and the messed up leg, I was just about ready to throw the towel in. My knee is still a mess and I just have really been struggling with the food. I made the very (un)wise decision last night to have regular beer and french fries when we went out, I decided I didn't care. Let's just say gluten is not my friend, and my body has been very unhappy with me today. Lesson learned.:thumbsup2 I'm taking a couple of days off from all exercise except my rehab stuff and Monday I'll be back at the chiropractor. As for the food--I'm back on the g-f bandwagon.:goodvibes I'm going to keep working on my patience and maybe look to my friends for a few more hugs until things get a little more back to normal. Exercise is my stress reliever and obviously I am not handling things very well right now. But I will just keep swimming. :goodvibes

Rose, hope you're feeling better and that your leg is on the mend

Hello everyone. We just got back from our cruise and I just saw that I was #1 for last week. I am afraid to step on the scales tomorrow morning. We had a great trip though and I will just get back on-plan.

How was your cruise?

44 days til our May trip! I can't wait to spend 8 nights at Baylake!!

You've got me beat by about 5 days, have a wonderful time. We'll be cruising on the 22nd.

pjlla - Baylake is our home resort (DVC members). This will be our 2nd time there. Since joining DVC in spring of 2009 we've stayed at SSR (x2), BLT (x3, staying again in Nov for my birthday), and this September AKV Kidani Village.

I own at the Boardwalk, but if I had to do it all over I'd opt for the Animal Kingdom Villas. That's my favorite resort :cloud9:

We're back. It was a whirlwind weekend. Friday we got the dreaded snow storm, but it was not nearly as bad as predicted. Nick's school was actually cancelled, but the elementary school was not. I subbed in Colby's class in the morning and he ended up coming home with me as he had a headache. His class was extremely loud as were most classes in the school. Colby and I came home and took a nap and Chris was home before we woke up. So we quickly finished packing and headed off to the bowling tournament early. (lacrosse was cancelled because of the weather). We got settled into the hotel, had some pizza bread that we made and brought with us and let the kids go swimming. Nick's bff was there with his family so they hung out between suites. Yesterday was the first day of the tournament. Colby bowled fantastic and the other kids bowled better than average too :goodvibes We went to applebees for dinner then back to the hotel for more swimming. This morning was a bit rushed, getting ready, packing up, eating breakfast and getting to the tournament on time. We made it. The kids bowled very well again. :cool1: We finished up around 2 PM and headed home. We stopped at a restaurant along the way that we used to stop at on road trips to the coast when I was a little girl. My Mom was with us and today was her birthday so it was a nice treat. My kids made a point to tell every waitress that we had this weekend that it was grammy's bday so she got sung to a lot  We came home and I've been good and unpacked and got the laundry running. Hopefully my motivation keeps up over the next few days at I get my house back in order before starting work on Thursday.

Just doing a quick check in. I cant believe its sunday evening already. ugh the weekends go way to fast and the weeks go too slow.:rotfl2:

It was decent here today. Around 54 and breezy but the sun did shine on/off. Ryan had tball practice and then we let the boys play on the playground with the other players for about a half hour after. It was fun catching up with the other parents from last season. For some reason I felt so much better emotionally after that. Im not sure if it was the adult conversation or the sunshine but either way it perked me up.

I have all my fruits and veggies ready to go for the week and I have a pretty good plan for my meals. I am really hoping to make some progress this week.

Sorry I didnt get to reply to everyone but here is a few out of memory.

Nancy- good luck at your appointment tomorrow, Im sure everything will be fine. Glad you had a nice day at the zoo.

Lisa- I admire you for getting in the long runs....I really have been slacking and my half is now 4 weeks away.:scared1: I think I need to actually run more than 3 miles over these next few weeks or I may have some problems.

Deb- Its sounds like you had a great weekend. Enjoy the few days off before starting the new job. Im so happy its all working out for you.

Rose- Sitting out in 82 degree weather sippin a drink watching mike cutting grass sounds like a great way to spend the day.;) You have that channeling your princess thing down pat....I need to learn from you....I still am channeling cinderella here.:rotfl2:

Disneywedding2010- Wow 4 more assignments....that is getting so close. You will be in disney before you know it.

Tracey- Speaking of allergy pills, I noticed once nick was running around for awhile at the playground his eyes got all watery and itchy and his nose was running. His ezcema has been flaring up too. So I guess its that time of year again. I feel so bad for him. What medicine do you use for your kids?

Hello to everyone else that I missed!

Quick check in. I probably won't be around much in the next 2 weeks. I'm trying to gut the house before we leave for FL. I don't want to leave my mom with a big mess.
I'm going to try to get up every day at 5:30 to work out. this is the only time during the day I'm going to have to get it done. I hope I can get everything done I need to do.

If you see me here more then once a day, yell at me!!!!!! If I have time to DIS, I have time to work out or clean!!! :rotfl2:

Hello to everyone else that I missed!

We just buy OTC claritin at CVS. We had Ash tested for asthma a few years back but it was negative. The allergy pills help her a lot. Izzie takes the children's benadryl. She doesn't seem to need it as much as the rest of us. I've had more problems as an adult with allergies than I did as a kid.

Watching Celebrity Apprentice! Meatloaf just flipped out on Gary Busey! :scared1:

Hoping to get some cleaning done before I go give a massage in the morning and then I'll do more when I'm home in the afternoon with Izzie. Probably put on Tangled and get more cleaning done!

Evening Team!

I'm going MIA this week. Its my last week of college and I have a group assignment, 2 individual assignments, and final exam to complete. I also have 3 training sessions with my personal trainer and two dr apts to schedule. I'm going to post my weigh in tomorrow morning. Its been so crazy the last few days I completely forgot to do it.

I made my 30 day count down calendar for our May trip this afternoon. I grazed today due to Wrestlemania being on tonight. I had 2 chicken egg rolls, ham and cheese sandwich, 4 chicken wings, 2 Cokes, and 3 slices of mild cheddar cheese.

I plan on getting back on track tomorrow. G'Night!

Good Monday morning Teams

Did you email your weight and HH points. f you didn't then please do it as ASAP and don't forget to include the team name in the subject.

Sorry I did not get on yesterday. I went to church and then went grocery shopping. When I came home I started to put away the groceries and started to feel lousy. I slept on and off all afternoon. I had a dinner to go to last night and didn't want to go but did. I did go and enjoyed myself. It is a nice way to end the play season.

I woke up feeling okay. Not great but just okay.

karliebug congrats on the new size for the shirt

pjlla Glad you had a good time at the swim banquet. It is always nice to congratulate all the players.

tigger813 I remember we were driving to Virginia Beach when Prince Di was getting married. I couldn't wait to get the newspapers the next morning to see the pictures.

lisah0711 I think I will try your suggestion of vitamin C. My knee is okay some days but others it is achy.

dumbo_buddy good luck on your dr appointment. I haven't been to the Bronx Zoo in ages. Ds's were supposed to go a couple of weeks ago but their train got stuck and by the time they got to the city they didn't have enough time to get to the Bronx before the zoo closed. They left at 8:30 in the morning and didn't get to the city until 12:30.

Disneywedding2010:grouphug: I am so happy that you are finishing up your BA. I can understand mixed feelings. My dsis DVC is at BayLake Tower. That is where I want to stay for my retirement present to myself.

Rose&Mike Mowing Lawns already:scared1::scared1: I guess it is coming. Dh will probably have to do ours sometime in the next week or so. I don't want it to start.

cclovesdis Thanks for the Pampering week. I think we all needed it.

dvccruiser76 Dh and I stayed at AKL just before the DVC area was opened.

my3princes Sounds like you had a great weekend.

BernardandMissBianca I am so jealous of you going away for spring break. we are painting the family room. Correction Dh is painting and I will be the gopher.

Off to get ready for school. We too only have two weeks until spring break. I only have 2 weeks of my student teacher teaching two of my classes. She has one more week after break but she won't be teaching.

Have a happy and healthy day

Morning all!

Got up and did the 2 mile WATP. Feel good about that!

Just put 5 bags of clothes out for BBBS. Some are my clothes and some are the kids.

Going to try and do another quick one or 2 miles later today. I have to go to work around 10 and then I'll be home before noon. Going to make some chicken rollups for supper. I'll make them early so Ash and I can eat before going to dancing. We also want to make Star Wars sugar cookies sometime today. I also plan on rewatching Tangled this afternoon.

Working on my first bottle of water today and then I'll have my tea and shake. I'll probably have a shake for lunch too and save calories for supper. Foot is a bit achy this morning. I really think I'll use my next paycheck and buy a new pair of sneakers. I really want a pair of Asics.

Gotta get ready for my walk to the bus stop.

SUpposed to rain here today:(

TTFN :tigger:

You have that channeling your princess thing down pat....I need to learn from you....I still am channeling cinderella here.:rotfl2:
I hope you have a good week Lindsay.:goodvibes I'm glad you are feeling better about things. I ended up digging up dandelions, so I'm not sure which princess that makes me.:rotfl:

This is going to sound weird, but Mike has been doing this for about a year now. Get some honey that says it is "local" on it and give the girls a teaspoon every day--and you too if you have allergies. You can put it in something, but Mike just eats a spoon of honey every day. BUT it has to be local honey. It has really helped with his seasonal allergies. He usually takes claritin from February to October. He still took it in Feb for about two weeks--I think the maple trees were blooming, but he's off it again. It takes a little while to start working, but it been pretty effective. He started it last summer and had a really easy time in the fall. The theory is that the bees polinate all the local trees and that helps you build immunities to the local allergens. Anyhow, just thought I'd throw it out there.:goodvibes

Rose&Mike Mowing Lawns already:scared1::scared1: I guess it is coming. Dh will probably have to do ours sometime in the next week or so. I don't want it to start.
Our neighbor has already cut his about 4 times--he's a little compulsive.;) We will take yard work over snow shoveling anyday, so we aren't complaining.:goodvibes

Good morning! It's spring break here this week, so it should be a quiet week. The weather is going to be much better--the 7 day forecast has the 70s everyday except tomorrow. We have a chance of severe weather this afternoon, so fingers crossed for no tornadoes. I have the chiropractor today and I'm going to go to the Y for a bit after that.

Have a great day everyone.:goodvibes

Don't forget to send in your weigh in! We have less than 30 sent in at this point. I have had a few people say they weren't weighing in this week but still waiting on LOTS of people!!!!!

Oops! Forgot to come on last night and post the QOTD early -- sorry 'bout that! :flower3:

So it happens to all of us. We are not as successful as we want to be for whatever reason. The important thing is not that you messed up but rather how you are going to handle it. Are you going to nip the problem in the bud or let it get worse?

Here is an excerpt from an article called 25 Ways to Get Back on Track Today:

In tennis, losing one point isn’t the end of the world. It happens to the best of them. In fact, if you can consistently win a few more points that you lose, you may end up in the hall of fame. With healthy eating and exercising, as long as you’re consistently out-stepping your steps back, you’re ahead of the game. If you expect perfection (and many of us do), you’re setting yourself up for disappointment and guilt.

You CAN get back on track today. Even if you’re moving slowly, you’ll be moving in the right direction!

A few of the suggestions to get back on track are:
-- try a short workout
-- try a new recipe
-- share your goals
-- track your food
-- listen to an inspirational song
-- learn something new

QOTD Monday 4/4 What do YOU do to get back on track? It can be something from the article or something that you do! :flower3:

BRB with some replies.

Good morning. Colby is home sick today. Nasty cold. somehow he missed it the first 2 times it went through the house. I'm glad that it is on Monday and not Thursday when I start work. It is snowing out here again  When will Spring arrive?

QOTD: This is a question that we've been struggling with here. Chris and I agree that we need to get back on track, unfortunately it doesn't take much to derail our efforts these days. I started strong this morning and hope to make this day one of eating healthy. Can't wait for the weather to improve as I will become much more active when I can get outside without the fear of getting hives from the cold.

Good morning everyone.

Just a quick post, slow getting moving here, so I drove ds to school. I didn't get called in at all to work this weekend, and yesterday ds went to a friends house to play, and I ended up staying and visiting with the mom, and we walked all around their appartment complex for quite a while. It felt good to get out in the sun and just relax.

Love todays qotd, and I am going to the grocery store either today or in the am, and have my list, and am going to make salads this week for my lunches, buying some meat and vegies to grill, and I am going to get back on track. I know I said that 2 days ago, but I just didn't get motivated this weekend.:rolleyes1 Again, it is a new day. I am going out with some old friend I used to work with tomorrow night to an amazing italian restaurant, so that will be a challenge. I used to get the dish called The tour of Italy which is fettucini alfredo, chicken parm, and raviolis. They always start off with a big salad and bread sticks, and I would bring home my leftovers and it would last at least 3 more meals. I am not ordering that tomorrow. I haven't been there since michael was born.

On the allergies, I heard that about local honey, too, Rose. I think I'll do that for michael this year. I just started him back on the otc claritin, store brand. He had a cold, but I'm thinking it's more allergies now.

Rose- not really jealous that you have to mow your lawn already, but I am jealous of the 82 degrees!!

Pjlla- Love your surprise trip idea. Ds loved being surprised for disney last year. I think I'll think of a little surprise day trip for our vacation this summer.

Nancy- Good luck at the doctors today.

Have a great monday!:)
