Big Red Boat?

DCL has been around for 10 years now and people still think Disney when they hear "Big Red Boat" :confused3 :confused3 :confused3

My wife and I did the Big Red Boat for our honeymoon back in 1987. I must admit we had a great time on board. It was the first cruise for the both of us so we had nothing to compare it too at the time. When we had pulled into Nassau we found out how un-big it was next to one of the other cruise lines newer ships.

But it was the Big Red Boat that got us hooked on cruising and we've been on three Disney cruises since :cool1: :cool1: :cool1: And I'm sure it won't be the last.

The Big Red Boat was Disney's initial experience with cruising. They stopped using them when they brought in their own ships. The Big Red Boats no longer exist from the last I had heard.

"big red boat" was Premier Cruise line...Nothing to do w/ DCL as DCL did not exist. They did have some disney characters on board but that was it!

I am amazed how many people still assume a Disney cruise is the Big Red Boat. How long has it been since those commercials played???

I also know people who think the only way you can do a Disney cruise is to do the 3 day cruise / 4 day park (or vice versa) package. They had no idea you could just book the cruise...

A few months ago, someone posted a picture of a Premier Cruise Lines ship (The Big Red Boat) at dock next to either the Magic or Wonder.

Does anyone have that picture or have a link to it?

Thanks!
