okay, Im sure this will lock in my chances at winning Dumbest WDW Vacation Planner but...

here's the situation, Flying into MCO, staying at an offsite resort, not renting a car (no major credit card) but I have made a reservation with FL Tours to take us from airport to resort roundtrip. There is a shuttle from the resort to WDW and Ive already received my ParkHopper Plus Passes. so far so good...

:teeth:

Checkout is at 10am, Flight isnt until 7pm. What in the heck am I gonna do with those 9 hrs? Where will I keep my luggage during those 9 hrs? Why didn't I think of this months ago when I planned this trip instead of 2 days before?

Any suggestions?

no worries!!!

most hotels (even off-site) will hold your luggage for you. i would call now just to double check. :)

that takes care of your luggage -- as for what to do for the 9 hours -- either go to the park, or spend the day by your hotel's pool. :D

I just called the resort to ask if they would mind holding our luggage...and they said, "No Problem! we do it all the time"

Thank you so much CaityCaity You're the best **hugs**

I'm so excited, we leave this Friday. :Pinkbounc This will be my fourth trip to WDW (first was in '69) I have the honor of introducing by DBF and DS to the Happiest Place on Earth

We left at 5 pm and we didn't have any trouble using up the day. The last time we didn't either. We went to a park the last time and then came back and swam in the pool. This trip we had breakfast at Boma, packed, swam, my DD had a hair wrap by the pool, ate lunch at Mara, and looked in the gift shop one last time. It was great and very low key. Our luggage was stored until we wanted to leave. Of course, we had to plan ahead on what we wanted to keep out before we had it stored. I don't think you'll have any trouble using up the day. I wish our flight left that late!! I would have had 2 more hours there :)

You should also request a late check-out time. Hotels often grant a few of these each day. I have asked while I'm checking in; sometimes I'm told to check back with the front desk the evening before or the morning of check-out, so you may not know until later in your trip. You may be able to hold your room a few extra hours.

If your flight departs at 7pm, you really only have about 7 hours to worry about since you'll need to leave for the airport around 5pm or earlier.
