please give me some advice or reviews for biergarten lunch,do they have anything for children? i seemed to remember there was a counter service right by the entrance for sandwiches and drinks,is this correct.thanks
The menu for Biergarten is almost the same for both lunch and dinner. There is a kids section, as well as they can eat of the main buffet. Kids seem to enjoy it.
The Sommerfest menu does not show anything for children; the nearest thing might be the frankfurter with saurkraut.
As far as Biergarten, unlike other Disney restaurants the kids' section doesn't have pizza and macaroni and cheese. To be honest, I have never seen a kids' section and I have been dragged there 5 times. My DH loves German food (figure with a name like Mueller) but I can't stand it. I live on desserts at this place. If there had been a kids' section with the usual fare, I would have been eating there! That being said, the band and entertainment is great. My kids love to polka!
We had our first trip to the Biergarten last October. We got a PS on a whim the same day, and brought DD4 and DS1. My daughter LOVED the band and wanted to dance continually. Thankfully they take a break so we had time to eat. I don't recall a specific kids section of the buffet, but there seemed to be enough on there for both of my kids - chicken, various hot dogs and sausages, spaetzle (noodles), applesauce, and of course all of the desserts.
Hubby and I love German food, but what we REALLY loved was the gigantic mugs of beer! Seriously, I'm not sure how many ounces, but it had to be at least 32. Next time I'm skipping the buffet and going straight for the refreshments. That along with the polka band made me feel like I was in college again...
