Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique/Disney Costume Dresses PIX

I am really glad you started this thread. I know that the first time we went to WDW we never thought we could have gone back. LOL Who knew we would have been hooked!!!

I love love love love the MK BBB. How can you get any more special than having a Princess makeover in Cinderella's castle. It was fantastic!

Do you have more pics from inside the new BBB? The castle is for sure a way better place to have one!!!! I hate DTD myself. It's always slammed packed and I just hate going in there! My daughter can't wait to try out the new place! I adore the dresses you make too. You should do the blue Belle since she's all over the park (and she's your DD's favorite!) Have you taken them to Belle's storytime at the MK? Sounds like something she would love! The step sisters dresses are awesome too. Great idea. If you don't already you should sell them to other people! You could make a killing off of them. My little girl loves your pics. Add some more! I will too later tonight. I need to upload more first. :goodvibes

are going at christmas and i would love to get the girls some belle holiday dresses....saw on ebay that they are over $100....yikes! is that accurate?

I did blue Belle and my DD was selected for the storytime. It was really cute. Yes, I have more pics from the BBB. I will upload them and post later on today.

OneTreeHillAddict (love OTH also), Thank you so much for putting up these wonderful pictures. They are absolutely lovely and your daughter and her best friend are just the cutest. Disney costumes have come a long way, I had an Ariel costume when I was little and I think everyone would crack up laughing if they saw what it looked like.

The basketball charity game is this weekend! You going? I love the show. We are on it every now and then. I think it's the best show on TV! I'd love to see your Ariel dress. You should post a pic. It'd be cool to see one of their older ones. I bet it was cute! The costumes now are crazy compared to when I was growing up. I remember when they were all plastic tie on deals with the thin plastic masks...LOL :rotfl:

OneTreeHillAddict, no we live in PA, but that is awesome that you get to actually see the actors on OTH. Here is the picture of my Ariel costume from1992. I forgot how bad it was. So mothers, definitely buy your children costumes from the Disney stores or Disney and not wherever this came from (lol).

I think it's great that James Lafferty does that. The charity raises a lot of money every year. Some goes to the local YMCA but he also helps out sick children and shelters, different places. I've never been to the game but my sister goes. She says everyone is really nice except for Chad. She says he goes but doesn't stick around to meet people or to take pics. You should plan to go sometime. You can also take a tour of the set, see what it's all about. If you call ahead of time and they're filming you can be an extra on the show! We get called for that a lot since we're close. Earlier this year my baby had a try out for a main character (baby Jamie) in the flashback but he wasn't what they were looking for. That was exciting though and he would have made a lot for working 2 days. Oh well, maybe next time. :) I think your Ariel is very cute for that era! I like the way you can hold the tail up and walk around with it. That's a good idea. I bet you had a lot of fun dressing up as Ariel! Thanks for sharing! :goodvibes

We are going in September and both of our daughters are going to the BBB. Our oldest daughter is 16 years old, popular, actively involved in sports, church, and school activities. She rarely wears make-up. She views this trip to BBB for what it is, a chance to play in the world of make believe. A chance to have some fun.

As for my four year old daughter - she has PLENTY of princess dresses all purchased at Wal-Mart or Target that she often dresses up in for tea, to play, etc. She sees that for what it is, a chance to play pretend.

When we go in September my youngest will be getting the castle package and my oldest the crown (she's taller than me!). Make-up, hair, dresses, and fun! That's what BBB is about. It's about playing pretend, and if guided well that is exactly how little girls will view this experience.

I am looking forward to spoiling my princesses - then we are going to dinner at 1900 Park Fare - Cinderella's Gala Feast. If they don't want to keep the make-up on, the hair done up, the dress on - then so be it. I just hope they enjoy the experience together. A sisterly moment to remember.

OneTreeHillAddict I think your daughter is just precious! No kids yet, but looking forward to the day when I can play dress up with my little Princess (or Pirate ;) )!

I don't understand how anyone could be upset for encouraging a child's imagination by letting them play dress up! Everyone I know played dress up and with Barbies, and last I checked none of us were emotionally scarred! :rotfl2:

Anyways thanks for the thread. We have relatives with little ones and this helped me understand more about it and be able to give a recommendation to them.

I love dressing up Disney style and i'm 18, hehe. I'm always really dissapointed that I the Disney dresses don't fit me, they're all so beautiful, but I recently found a gorgeous Cinderella dress that i'll be wearing in to a convention in June, you can see a pic of it in my signature. :goodvibes

Cool dress. I was told adults can buy the Disney dresses and another poster on here said she called and was told the same thing? I don't know the details but it looks like they do offer them!? Your Cinderella is pretty! You should add a bigger picture of it.

Such beautiful pictures everyone! DD would be in awe if she saw all the costumes.:lovestruc
Definitely keep your eye out for sales. We got a Tink one from TDS a couple months ago on clearance (part of the fairy line) for $8 and a Cinderella one from TDS on line after Halloween for $15. She also has a hand me down Snow White and Ariel from her cousin. We haven't done BBB, but the pics I have of her with Cinderella and the Prince wearing a Cinderella costume are priceless. They are only little for a short time; hold on to the magic while you can!

Plus a lot of times DS has those extra 15% off coupons!!! Gotta love those. Dress up pictures with the characters are some of the cutest pictures ever! I'd love to see yours! They sound beautiful. You are so right.....it's all about the magic! :wizard:

Oh yes, I know they have the costumes. I just wished they sold the lovely princess costumes they sell for the young girls to us who are a little older but still princesses at heart.:goodvibes

Here are some more pics of my Cinderella costume:

Well, they don't sell them at the parks- but they exist! The Disney Store often gets adult aized costumes for Halloween and you can find a whole slew of them on ebay. I have costumes in my size for all 6 princesses as well as other Disney girls. :) I've worn them to multiple MNSSHPs and P&Ps- which are the only times an adult can wear costumes in the parks.

This is my Mary Poppins costume- I made this will the help of a blouse and skirt I found on ebay. I'm very proud of it!

This is a nightgown I found on ebay for only $14 that made for a perfect Wendy costume.

And this was from my princess birthday party a couple years ago. These costumes are all mine- Belle from e-toys.com, Ariel is the child's XL they sell at WDW (my friend in that pic is tiny, but I can actually squeeze into it too.) Jasmine is an old Disney outlet perchase, Snow White is from the Disney Store, and Cinderella is an old Disney Store from ebay.

I have an Aurora dress too but I don't have a pic of anyone wearing it.

And me wearing the XL child's Ariel costume with a wig I bought and a flesh toned leotard to make it less revealing. (told you it fit!) This was just me playing around at home.

I also have a great Megara outfit that I do not have a pic of.
