Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique/Disney Costume Dresses PIX

Thank-you to the OP for posting the pics of the dresses. I LOVE THEM and it was very helpful to see what they all look like.

To those of you that feel it is okay to bash BBB on a BBB thread. Please stop!! It's just plain rude!! :sad2: The OP is trying to help people out that are interested in BBB. If you aren't interested, please for the sake of this thread, find another thread to look at. We all know there are pleanty of threads out there!

If you don't mind me asking how much does the Photoshoot cost and is it early in the morning before the park opens? The sky looks so amazing! What a GREAT wedding. Part of our Honeymoon was spent at Disney but at the time we didn't even know you could get married there! Wonderful memories! :lovestruc

It was $800 when we did it, but I believe the prices have gone up. Because that's what Disney does... :headache:

Our photo shoot was at 5:30 am. It was pretty cool to be in the park that early. We got the 4x6 proofs and a pretty folio thing, but will have to wait for 2 more years to by the high res CD. It's $1000, or after 3 years it goes down to $99.

The OP was sharing something Disney on this, a Disney board. If you don't agree with BBB, why would you click on a topic that is clearly marked as BBB related with pics?!?

My daughters haven't done BBB, but I don't begrudge or judge the OP or anyone else who allows their children to go. It's Disney...it's a day to pretend that we, as adults, are kids again. It's a day for little boys to be pirates, and it's a day for little girls to be princesses. If you don't agree with it, don't take part in it. I thought it was a rule of the DIS to not insult other participants. Questioning someone's parenting skills based solely upon going to BBB is an insult IMHO.

OP, thanks for sharing the pics. I very much enjoyed looking at all of the pretty princesses in this thread.

Exactly! Doesn't bother me at all but it does seem like some people are trying to attack me for helping others see what BBB offers and how to save money on a dress. Truth is we should all feel very sorry for the children of the parents that think that way. What kind of life is that - when your parents wont even let you play dress up? (And at Disney of all places) It's sad. Thanks for the nice words. You rock! :woohoo:

My dd and I have been around and around about costumes because she wanted belle which she already has at home from disney shopping. I let her see all the pictures and to my amazement...she picked Minnie Mouse. It was great to get to see them in advance (we leave in 8 days) so that we can make a decision WITHOUT spending 15 minutes wandering around BBB.

SO happy to help! Minnie is amazing! She will love it! have a fun time at Disney!!!! princess:

You're so right! I would have LOVED to have seen a thread like this 3-4 years ago to help me decide! Just tryin' to help out! I'd love to see more BBB pics on here though. Hopefully soon! I think the kids look beautiful and out of our three visits we were never applied "too much" makeup. As a matter of fact you can't even see the stuff really. It's more about having it done than anything. Maybe some mothers cake it on afterwards!? I don't know but AT BBB it's not bad at all. EVery little girl deserves this experience at least once in her life! :thumbsup2

Yes that IS what they do....just like GAS. You can bet, it will continue to rise and rise. :scared: I'd wait 2 more years too. Definitely cool to go in that early! The sky loooks amazing. :bride:

To the OP your DD is just lovely, princess or not. I think it is great that she has a wonderful selection of costumes to dress up in and enjoy. One of the most beautiful things to see come alive is a child's imagination. Dressing up can play a huge role in letting all that creativity run free!

My DD, 5, did BBB with her cousins in January and it was a wonderful time for all of us. They each chose a different style so they did not look exactly like the next kid. But even if they did pick the same, who cares? They picked it and they enjoyed it. We went with costumes from home, but if I could have afforded DD would have had more than one and it woudl have been direct from Disney. She really wanted to chose a dress there, but it made better sense for us to bring it and use the money on some other wonderful souvie!!

I would post a picture of the make up pallet they give the princesses at BBB, but I can't right now. To say that the make up was applied with a trowel is just laughable! The children get to keep the left overs and beleive me there is not enough there to apply it heavily let alone with a trowel.. Maybe some parents embellished the make up afterward, but there is not enough to go crazy with in the first place.

The thing to remember is that the BBB is all about your princess getting to live out a fantasy for one day. Let them and you also get to enjoy your child's happiness. Pure, innocent fun. That is all it is.

Suz

Thanks you very much! I hope the pics help other families pick and choose their dresses and hopefully they can save a fortune like I did. Why not get them on ebay for LESS than half the price? Disney is sort of like the oil companies in a way....they've made their billions. I love the place but it is getting a little out of control for the average family to afford. :guilty:

Thanks to the OP for posting those beautiful pictures! Does anyone know what size these dresses go up to? Is there usually a good selection in stock at the parks? DD is eight and has started to lose interest in the princesses, yet always wants a princess dress to wear to the character breakfasts while at the parks. She is small for her age yet going through a growth spurt. I have no idea what size she will be for our next trip. I'd really like to have her choose a dress while we're at the parks, but don't want to leave it up to chance if they don't always have all the sizes.

You're welcome! I thought the sizes went up to 12/14. Seems like DTD had the biggest selection but the dresses are sold all over, in parks, at the resorts...etc. The dresses here ran a little big on my daughter. I really needed one size smaller. You might want to go with the 6/6X if she's small for her age. I'm sure you wont have any trouble finding the right size. All the places that sell them....someone has to have the perfect fit! princess:

The lady I bought from starts her auctions at 19.99! Her ID is wantsnneeds4u
I've been getting tons of emails so hopefully this will make it easier. :cheer2:

I bought from this same seller about a month or so ago. I was able to get a new with tags Snow White costume from Disneyland in a size 14 for under $30 shipped to surprise my DD with in September! princess:

There's an endless number of ways for little girls to feel magical at WDW (and in life) without being mini-beauty queens or playing with *barbies* (who are quite grownup)when they're essentially still babies. I'll find the link to the national news segment about this with respected psychologists in agreement.

I don't see what the problem with letting girls dress up and play is. I have looked at all the picture in this thread, and all I see is little girls who look very happy. I don't have any children, but I can promise you if I had a daughter who wanted to do BBB, I would absolutely let her. Dressing up and acting like a girl does not create emotional problems. And this is coming from a feminist with post grad degrees.

And don't even get me started on people upset at Barbies. If you actually look at Barbie, you will notice that Barbie is an older, unmarried career woman, willing to try anything and do anything a man can. Just because she looks fabulous doing it . . . :cutie:

I just wanted add how gorgeous your photos were!

I need to pull photos of the three she wore in December. Can't get a photo of the Belle dress since dd doesn't know about it yet!

Hey Christine! I thought you were going to add some pictures? I'll post the one of Belle later today you were talking about but I can tell you now...it does NOT compare to the one Disney Online sold with the rich bright red velvet! That one was the prettiest dress ever. Did you buy your DD the matching doll for the red Belle? I did. I can't wait to give it to her! :lovestruc

She loves this place and goes ALL THE TIME (lucky girl!) This is from her Walt Disney Jasmine visit.

And this is from the time she did the Red Disney World Belle dress. SO cute.

Another thing I might add here...Disney World sells these matching doll dresses/costumes to match the costumes they sell. Disney makes a doll to fit it but they also work on the American Girl dolls (as you see her!) Not only can your DD dress up for Disney ~ her doll can too!!!

Well your thread inspired me to show these to my girls. They decided they wanted to try BBB. My youngest has a gorgeous Minnie dress already. I asked her if she wants a new dress, but she insists that she wants to be Minnie so she'll be Princess Minnie at the P&PP. My oldest wants to be a pirate for the party so we decided she'll be a pirate princess. She'll just have her hair done up like a princess and wear her pirate costume (which we'll bring). I even found an eyepatch that says "Pirate Princess" in rhinestones on it. lol

See what you did now? :rotfl2:

ETA: After the party (May 9th), I'd love to show you the pics!

Here is another they sell at Disney World. I guess this one is $50 now!? It was $45 but someone said they went up $5 since last year. This is a cute little dress that appeared about the same time the first Pirate Princess Party came out. When she did BBB on PPP night they did her hair with a matching SKULL crown! It looked so cool. I'll see if I can find those pics for you to see.

And here you can see another Lilo that Disney World used to sell.

And here is another view of Alice. I think I personally love Alice the best of all. Last time we went it was a hit! The Mad Hatter asked my kids to go on a Teacup ride with him. It was so sweet! They had the time of their life!
