Better Princess Dining CRT or Akershus

So I have reservations for both CRT and Akershus, but I'm not really thrilled about the food choices at Akershus. I know the characters at each meal are subject to change, but I'm wondering if we could just skip Akershus and see most of the Princesses at CRT? Anyone have any past dining experiences at either?

We ate at Akershus in late May, mostly because it was cheaper than CRT and we'd heard mixed opinions about the food at CRT. And that you're mainly paying for the location. The food at Akershus was good, but it might not be a good choice if you have picky eaters with you.
Akershus's princess line up when we went was Belle (For pics before going in), Cinderella, Snow White, Aurora, Ariel.

We've likes both. The food is very different at both...Cinderella's tries to be more upscale and Akershus is on par with a decent family restaurant. I also don't think there is anything to be afraid of foodwise at Akershus...it is very Americanized...my kids and ex are picky but always liked the food there. We do prefer breakfast there though...but that may be just because there are so many other good places to eat at Epcot for lunch and dinner.

We will be doing both Akershus (breakfast) and Cinderella's (dinner) in December.

we preferred the breakfast at Akershus and the time spent there WITH the food too was amazing..we had a great time...we were not rushed like at CRT...just my opinion and not of others

I prefer CRT, especially at breakfast. I'm kind of a picky eater though so maybe that has something to do with it.

We ate at Akershus first and loved it. The next trip we did CRT and wasn't as happy. It was still good but we just liked Akershus better. We did breakfast for both. Of course everything is based on personal preference.

We like the food at Akershus better. My husband is a pretty picky eater, and this is still one that he requests. Although the menu does seem a bit intimidating, it was quite good. There was also plenty of it. I always leave CRT feeling a bit hungry.

As far as character interaction, we felt that the princesses were more relaxed and happy at Akershus. It always seems rushed at CRT. However, CRT is not to be missed if you're looking for an experience. Dining in the castle is really special.

CRT
Rushed princesses & food - They get you in and out. We had reservations at 8:05am and were outside walking to rides by 9:00am
Overpriced for the quality & quantity - 2 Table service credits :(
Gets you into MK before opening
However it gives you the Magical feel being inside the castle.

Akershus
Princesses come around a few times
The kids get to do a parade (mine did twice)
Food is more authentic to the country, which is hard for kids to enjoy & adults who arn't used to eating certain items.. Breakfast isnt terrible though.
A bit less expensive.

We loved the breakfast at Akershus. It was the best character experience of our trip. We've eaten at CRT twice(lunch and dinner) and left disappointed both times. But there is nothing like eating in the castle and everyone should experience it once in their life if possible.

Does it feel like something we shouldn't do back to back on consecutive days or even not in the same trip? I have Akershus breakfast on one day then CRT dinner the next day and I just realized it's pretty much the same princesses.

We're Florida residents coming for a 3-night trip and planning on getting Silver Passes this year so we will be back in late 2016 or early 2017...not like we won't ever be back. Thoughts?

We always do both each trip, but I'm a princess fanatic and love the castle atmosphere in both places and find the food good. So if you have someone who loves princesses, I don't see a problem. But if you'd rather have a more varied experience, then you may want to change. They're both fairly similar atmosphere-wise and the characters do overlap.

I hope this helps, but really it is a matter of personal preference. Like I said, I can't get enough princesses, so we do both, but if once is enough for you, then cancel one.
