Hello all.
We are staying at Old Key West for the first time in February. It is a trip for my daughter and 3 of her friends for their senior year of high school. Though there will be 9 of us total going. I’d like to request a room (I know we may not get it, but it’s still worth a shot). Question is which one? We’d like to be on the 3rd floor and somewhat close to any pool and a bus stop. If you’ve stayed in one that you loved and you remember the room number, could you please share it with me? Thanks!!

P.S. Pictures are always a plus.

I would suggest Turtle Pond, buildings 40-44 I think. It's a great area, pool and snack bar, bus stop. Great for teens.

It is never recommended to request specific Villas. DVC is designed to run at near 100% occupancy and the chance of that specific Villa being available on your check in date is slim and none. And the Villa assigners have no idea why you requested that one to try and find another that will make you happy.
It is best to request an area like @sharadoc suggested

Also, keep in mind \that OKW just started a refurb. No one knows what order the buildings are to be done in. That villa you request may be right next to a power generator and construction scrum...

We always ask for building 27. Short walk to the first bus stop (you will have to ride through the resort though, picking up people on your way TO the parks, but will be the first to get off coming home to OKW), and short walk to the main pool and Hospitality House. Balcony view is pretty - of the golf course and some small water features.

That's your request right there. :)

It's best to resist the temptation to "help" the room assigner by providing a room number, because that doesn't always work out well in practice. As others have said, the odds that someone happens to be checking out of that particular room on your arrival date are pretty slim, and then the room assigner won't know why you wanted that room. It's much better to tell them what features you want in the room, and let them find you what you need.
