Best tip I can give: Don't go in July!

brazilian tour groups..........i agree they are the worst and disney dont care $$$$$$ they have 1000 teens with 2 adults watching them and the adults are worse than the teens ,they need more supervision. disney dont care that they are rude and loud $$$$$$$$$$ and it dont matter to disney that they ruin american family vacations, the ones who were there for them when the world opened. WE DONT COUNT..............

We've just returned and I agree. There's hundreds of them following colour co-ordinated flags. I can't say if they were rude or not as we tended to avoid them if possible but we certainly heard them before we saw them.

They are very loud and rude and we also avoided them at every turn. We were leaving Epcot after Illuminations and they were cheering for themselves :confused3 trying to be louder than another group. I found a leader and complained and he just shrugged his shoulders like he couldnt do anything.

I had 2 sleeping kids!!

And then we saw the same lovely groups at Universal too :scared1: They fit in better over there though.

I agree - we just returned too, and saw them everywhere (heard them first!). The worst were the fastpasses - I couldn't figure out why the lady in the bright blue tour t-shirt in front of me was taking so long, and when I looked over her shoulder, she must have had 100 or more passes she was using to get fastpasses for at Everest - I changed lines quick to get mine before she took them all! I'm not sure where they all stay, but was happy we were at our quiet Old Key West with no tour groups in sight!

So are they there for the whole month of July:confused: What's the time frame:confused: so I can stay out of it:rolleyes1

We have never been there in July so I haven't had the 'pleasure' of seeing these groups. So what do people think the solution is to this? Requiring more chaperons? Disney CM's asking them to be quiet (unlikely). Limiting the number that groups that can cluster together (also unlikely, but possible).

I've heard numerous people complain about this in these forums, but I would like to see if this thread could become a mechanism for ideas on how to 'fix' the situation and not just register another complaint.

There are some very imaginative people on these boards and I am hopeful that some of you can come up will creative solutions. I also hope that some would contact Disney (e-mail, snail mail, phone) and give them your feedback and offer some of the suggestions that hopefully will follow. Writing on the boards that July is a bad month to go because of the tour groups may help some people reschedule their trips but, unfortunately, won't help all the other guests that return from their trip with bad feelings relating to these groups.

I'm looking forward to hearing some GREAT SUGGESTIONS!!!

I had heard several years ago that Disney was working with the groups more so that they understood the culture and what was appropriate behavior at the parks. From today's complaints it sounds like that might not be going on any longer.

I guess I don't find them too annoying but if I was involved in a specific situation that was distressing I would let Guest Services know.

Aside from that what I do when I see a large group is focus on the positive --- what fun for the group --- if they get into line ahead of me I might move on to another ride. As far as noise goes - ok sure it might be a little annoying but in my opinion its not the end of the world. They are outside and they are having fun - there are alot of worse things going on in the world. I guess I just keep it in perspective.

I just returned yesterday and hardly saw any tour groups. The ones we did see were all perfectly well behaved with the exception of a group in Space Mountain one night. They were yelling back and forth to each other and it was really echoing in there. Fortunately for me we were in the FP line and they were in stand-by and soon left them behind.

I went in July last year, and I agree with this!

god, the crowds were awful! the amount og tour groups! and there was so many of them also they always seemed to be at the same park as us, lol! maybe it was diffrent groups! July is way too busy for my liking!!
and being English it was bit too hot as well!!

Hoping for nice quiet and just right tempture in october :goodvibes

WOOP! and DisneyLand paris next week! cant wait lol x

We got back on Friday and did see BTG's in Magic Kingdom. They were typical teenagers.

One pushed another into my mother and the girl stepped on my mom's foot. All the girl did was giggle. My mother was very upset that she got stomped on and noone cared! The guides don't care either!

I just reponded to another thread about them - but overall we had a very pleasant experience. There were sure a lot of groups there but we didn't see anything that we thought was very rude or unusual. We saw a lot of American teenagers, too. The noisiest group by far for us were the families with small children yelling at each other as they walked down the hall in front of our hotel room at 7 or 8 in the morning!

As far as noise goes, I have to laugh at the previous poster who was irate because the groups weres shouting and her kids wee asleep. Sorry, but you are in the middle of a theme park anyway with possibly the loudest fireworks show having just finished and you are worried abotu keeping things quiet so your kids can sleep?? That just strikes me as very funny!

We had the same problem years ago. Rude and pushy, and completely do not understand the meaning of "personal space." I had some stand so close to me in lines I could feel breath on my neck! :sad2:
