Ok, here is our story.......We have recently converted Vegetarian and we are going to WDW in May. With that my husband has decided Whispering Canyon may not be the best place for a meal. So, I am hunting for some really good hearty seafood dishes at a restaurant on the DPD. Any ideas?????

I love seafood! We live on Long Island and I actually worked at fishmarket on the water throughout high school and college....

We just came back and I can recommend....

It aint bleedin chowder at Raglan Road. A mixed seafood dish in a cream (not thick and heavy) broth...delish!

Seafood curry dish at Yak n Yeti...mixed seafood in a curry broth...not spicy hot...just nicely seasoned.

Clam appetizer at Mama Melrose...clams and tiny pieces of sausage in a yummy broth. I also had the fish/pasta entree, it was good but nothing I would order again. Lemony white fish over pasta.

I didn't care for the salmon at Le Chefs de France. It was dry and flavorless. It was sitting under heat lamps because the mashed potatoes had a crispy coating. the sauce served with it was overly sweet for me.

I'm sure some of the signature restaurants have great things as well, but we stuck with the 1credit Ts's on the dining plan.

I know many recommend Cape May, but it is just steamed seafood and that is just so easy to do at home and we do....all summer long!

Edit: I just realized I recommended a dish with sausage!!!! Duh! Maybe they could omit it. The fish/pasta at Mama's wasn't bad...it just tasted like something I could make at home...I like ordering things I normally wouldn't make myself.
Hope that helps!

Before the vegetarians get you: If you eat fish you are pescetarians, not vegetarians.

I'm pescetarian, too. :lovestruc

We were 100% Vegans before I had some dietary issues, so we recently added Fish 1 x week & hard cheeses, everything else is still out. No meats, no milk, ice cream, cream, & no eggs. Its tough. Going on vacation is going to test us greatly. But I know how I will feel if I eat poorly.
