Best Restaurant for a Young Couple?

You liked Bluezoo? I haven't been but I always hear either really good or bad. Todd English is supposed to be an amazing chef, but then I think this is kind of like Pucks... uses the name and his menu design, but not them cooking usually.

You are from Chicago... Try Allinea sometime. Its supposed to be AMAZING... The chef trained under Keller of French Laundry/Per Se fame... pricey but the pictures are amazing and those I know who have tried it said its amazing...

anyway, sorry for the OT.

My DF and I are 24/25 respectively and in our last two trips to WDW we have eaten at the following "nice" date restaurants:

Jiko (AK Lodge)
California Grill (Contemporary)
bluezoo (Dolphin)

All three were very cozy...and the food at all three were delicious! They all also have great ambiance, wine and service.

Of course, at California Grill and Jiko, we ran into small, fussy children (hey, it's Disney World) but bluezoo was child free. That was nice too.

For our next trip in October '08 we are going to hit up Narcoosees, Flying Fish Cafe and possibly Citricos.

My husband and I are celebrating our one year anniversary in May at Cali Grill! We have an ADR for 8:00 with a 10:00 Wishes. We plan on watching them from the top of the contemporary, I am pretty excited :)

Btw, I will be just shy of 21, and my husband is 22.

My DH and I had dinner at Cinderella's Royal Table on the first night of our honeymoon, and it was very romantic!

I intentionally booked dinner as late as possible (which was only 7:30pm, since we were there in January and the park closed at 8pm). We were seated right almost right away, and the restaurant was half empty and very calm. We had a yummy meal. Wishes was at 8pm, they dimmed the lights, and you could hear the music. We watched the fireworks out of the stained glass windows in the back of the restaurant. They didn't rush us at all, and we had plenty of time to enjoy our meal. Then after dinner, we walked out of a nearly empty park, it was like it was only open just for us. It was one of the most romantic/perfect moments of the whole honeymoon!:goodvibes

Thanks! These are great suggestions! Out of all these restaurants, California Grill is the only one I've eaten at, but it sounds like there are a ton of other options too!

My BF and I are both 23 and still students so we don't have the money to spend at CG or any sig. restaurant. We do the DDP and we love CR, LC, and even 50s. We're not big fancy people, but I'm definately a foodie. All the places we've been have been great and we enjoy just being there alone together so we don't need any fancy-schmancy romantic place.

I'm sure both of you are going to have a special trip, regardless of where you eat!

I am in the same boat...me and my bf are going in January. I made us an ADR at San Angel Inn at Epcot, and it will be my first time there. I have heard mixed reviews...but we like Mexican a lot and the place is very romantic so I'm excited to try it. I got a tip to go early and ask for a table by the river for an extra nice view. I also think that Tony's Town Square in MK would be romantic...lots of kids around, but the Lady and the Tramp thing makes it very cute!

For a romantic meal it would have to be Citricos, California Grill or Jikos. We've eaten at all the signature restaurants and they were the ones with the best atmosphere. Citricos was quiet when we were there, with very few children, both service and food were excellent. I love California Grill but it's a lot noisier than Citricos. The last time we were there we got a window table and were able to watch the fireworks from it, this was very romantic. And Jiko has wonderful food and the atmosphere is dark, again few children. Only thing I didn't like about it was were were given a tiny table for 2 right in between two other couples, there were just a few too many tables packed in to be truly romantic.

Based on Experience, if you have an issue with the shorties, you might want to re-think Hoop De Doo... It's been a few years, but I remember that being pretty heavy on the kids and families.

I know, we've done this before, it is just really fun atmosphere. It's Okay to be rowdy and loud here! :)

Narcoosees was very romantic for us! If you plan well, you can be there to view Wishes, and the electrical water parade, it was beautiful! (and my bf did propose there) :) The servers usher you out onto the deck to watch the fireworks.

It is a seafood place, but the steak was good too!
