I know everyone has their own opinions, this is just mine not trying to start any thread wars. I thought tonights quest was one of the best in a long time. It wasn't super easy but also not too hard. Also no mini games for those of you who can't play them. :thumbsup2 Great Quest tonight staff if you're reading!

What is the prize?

I can't sign in. I keep getting page not found messages or black screens. :confused3

I am in line for the host room, but if I remember right it was a Space Mountain start piece and one of each turn.

I agree with you it was good having a quest that made you think a bit for the answers but no mini games needed. What a relief! :) I also like the no trade button thanks to who ever got that added into the game.

I agree it was a good quest, however having the car magic probably cut quite a few ppl out of it.

I totally agree! This was the funnest Mini-Quest that I can remember! It made you think. The theme was well played out throughout the whole quest. I love the word scrambles and the find multiple items. Great! But I think my favorite part was being in the Sci-fi Dine-in and guessing the snacks... and better yet they had several in a row, so you had all these people in there saying "Pretzel" and "Popcorn" and what not. It was absurd and hilarious. Not to mention I got to make Friends with Qruthie (which whom I've chatted here in these Dis threads, but hadn't met in game)!

I like that it required a Magic Pin. Finally gave me reason to use that car of which I'd practically forgotten. Heh. And it seems to me a good way to discourage mules... You have to have a character that you play enough to have completed the Diver and Car Quest.

Now I can hear people complaining that some of the questions were difficult (who or what is Monsanto?) but they were multiple-choice so you could do it again and again until, via process of elimination, you get the right answer. I can hear people complaining about the required comma in "To Infinity, and Beyond!" or even that they didn't have the Car magic...

But I don't care... sorry, I think this was a Brilliant Quest! Well done Hula!

At the Sci-Fi Dine-In I thought they had made a modification to the Quest engine so you could answer any of the 4 items and get a hint for the rest. Never realized the psychology or preference of items we order at a movie. Wonder if anybody tried to answer Popcorn, Soda, Candy, Turkey Leg. :rotfl2:

ROFL :rotfl2: Only my main had car magic, so I was competely bummed out. (How many times did the rest of you try to say, "to infinity, and beyond!" before you got the puncutation right? :rotfl2: Anyway, Bob and I went on to get car magic for two of our clones and acutally had a lot of fun!

Upshot, great quest!

I haven't worked on a Quest since some of the new features were added. Are we able to do multiple object searches in our own quests too, or is that just a host thing.

It was a wonderful quest! Guessing the foods was funny but I got the first two without help, then Goofy_Bob gave me the last two which were items I had already said for the first two answers. Many of us didn't seem to realize this was four separate tasks though. In my case, I was confused because of the multiple atoms gathering task.

I was confused as all get out about finding the five atoms in the space mountain quest deck until I remembered the new multiple item feature. I left the room and came back in just to make sure the quest wasn't broken. I does help to read the newsletter!

I knew the classics answers, from reading all sorts of Disney history stuff and collecting pins. I'm glad those were multiple choice though and think trivia like that should be multiple choice. That way people who don't know the answer can at least guess.

I gave the quest four stars for a few reasons.
1. There was so much confusion about finding the atoms (a little hint would have helped us first timers) considering all the instances of the room were at three yellow mickeys when I got to that task. It might help to have an indicator of how many items you have found in that type of task.

2. I love the descramble tasks but dont like having to say them aloud. I want to solve the tasks on my own and it is hard to avoid the other typing bubbles spouting the answers. I prefer when the task is scrambled they it was to go to the music game. For tonight's "We come in peace", I went and sat in an empty instance of the Mark Twain.

3. "to infinity, and beyond" was great. So many people had problems with it though so I propose we be allowed to say "comma" or "punctuation" so we can help others find that secret. We could say, "Type it the same as me, including punctuation." Don't necessarily change the difficulty of the task, instead make it easier for people who have solved the task to give hints.

4. I was surprised to see we needed car magic. It's not that difficult to get a car magic, diver suit magic has been used on other quests so I'm guessing a lot of quest people have that one. My suggestion is, if the quest is going to require something like car magic, give an advance warning on the newspage that the quest will require that magic. I imagine it was difficult for kids on a school night to get their car magic and complete the host quest.

So, overall, I'm very happy with the quest and I hope my comments can lead to a few tweaks in the quests.

For the record, my all time favorite quest task was the one where we were supposed to find the skull in the forbidden temple but it really was to just enter the room because the skull had "moved" to a room in the Haunted Mansion. That was so clever and so many people got stuck on the first task without realizing they had already completed it.

Hula, I hope you get to read this. You did a great job and please have more quests like this one!

That comma would have frustrated me, but I had help in the Inner Space
room, "Use a , when you type it". Whew. And it was pretty funny to shout
out foods in the Sci Fi. I guessed correctly the first time, but I was
blindly shouting out the other foods in random order hoping to complete that
task. LOL!

I am a Disney trivia nut, so the Monsanto House of the Future clue was fine.
But I know the kids playing the game either had to have help or guess until
they got the correct answer.

You know, Hula really is clumsy. She drops atoms and gems EVERYWHERE. :rotfl2:
I like that new quest feature, actually. It must be fun to be someone NOT
doing the quest, watching the little VMK peeps scurrying around like bugs,
collecting those icons! :teeth:

All in all, it was a fun quest. (And I do like the word scrambles they've been
using lately.)

well, the car magic thing would be fine if it didnt take 5 minutes for a recharge! I ran out of gas twice and then got the next answer wrong twice! I had to do it 4 times! (I logged off anfd back in to reset the magic, but what a pain!)

I remember shouting foods out for about 5 minutes before I realized after pop corn you had to hit next task. I knew about the multiple item tasks but I agree totally that some sort of count would be very helpful. I have quit several player quests since I didn't know how many more I was missing. All in all this was my favorite quest in a long time, here's hoping next weeks follows suit.

Last night was one of my busy nights. I started the quest but didn't get very far before I had to go out. When I got home, the quest time was almost over but I tried before time ran out. Hula was at the drive in giving hints to everyone trying to get the foods correct. I know she was probably disappointed that people still posted answers but she was still nice enough to be helping people who were trying to complete it on their own!

Wow!! I think this wasa fun quest! I totally understand Mtlhddac2... that was the one thing that was a pain...not only did we keep running out of gas but with so many people in there it was hard to get it and like you said the long wait in between letting pins recharge..lol but got thru it! Yes did make you think a bit and you could get it by mulit choice and we missed a few but finally got them. But what I like about it is it was a good change of pace and fun. No Mini games which means I could do it!! Yay!! But I would say that I kept thinking about all the people who wouldn't be able to do this quest as they don't have the car pins! I have family members who are new and couldn't... that was the only thing I felt bad for the ones who couldn't do it! Yes there are alot of people who will say who cares they can get the car pin.. but that does take a bit and in the mean time they couldn't take a quest which I thought was suppose to be for everyone! Just wanted to mention that and let them know I was thikning of them!!

:woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo:

What quest? I checked yesterday morning and this morning and there are no new quests. Was it only for the night? :(

First, VMK has made me a quest-a-holic! I play every host quest and a lot of private ones. As such, this is the first I have ever given 5 stars too (of the Host quests, not the private ones)! Kudos Hula! :woohoo:

For those that mentioned they wished they had known car magic was needed, I have learned you really have to stop and read that left side of the screen quest description, while you are on the quest screen, before you play. It did clearly state no mini-games, but driver magic was needed.

I too had trouble with those beginning questions about the rocket and sponsor, but trial and error really aren't that bad. (But I admit that I was glad there were only those two that made me go back!) :teeth: Tron was WAY to overloaded with those kinds of questions.

Now, I know a lot may disagree, as I see many comments about it would be nice if they posted how many items we need to find in a multiple item task, but I will swear that it said 5 for the atoms (cause I distinctly remember getting 4 and looking for one more - turns out I had walked over it on the way to what I thought was the first atom). I also DO know, that it said 7 jewels for Main Street. I was happy about that too, as that 7th eluded me due to someone standing on it, but going to another instance of Main Street showed it.

I thought it was the best mixture of a wide variety of options. Scrambled words, thinking questions, multiple items search, no mini games, and finally getting to use other than just the diving magic. I don't think I have had that car magic out of my inventory since I won it! There was humor with those 4 food tasks in Sci-Fi, that was so very originally planned! Everyone guessing, others copying, only to find out oh, that answer is for a different task!

I love the challenge of the quests, and I admit surviving for so long now on only the Thursday quests which you can do with a blindfold on, really has bummed me out. I can't think of any quest I have enjoyed more than last night's!!

Again VMK and Hula, kudos and sincere thanks! :thumbsup2

One hint I discovered that I would like to pass on for any interested.. if we need the car magic again, look for a room with only 1 mickey head and be sure that there is at least one person on the track. When there were too many on the track, magic ran out too quickly as too many went after the same gas cans. Just the opposite with an empty room, the cans didn't come up fast enough. But when I found only one or two players on the field, it actually was VERY easy to get 5 and quickly too.

I have to say it was ok, but I am very disappointed. All of the younger VMKers have no chance since they have no idea what the answers are. I mean, sponser of the future world house? Come on now.
And like said in the last page! New players had no chance since VMK wont take the 2 seconds to change the diving quest from the discovery island room. If your going to erase the room have enough memory to change your quest. I had at least ten friends who are fairly new, and it was just sad to see them so heart broken because they can't even get the first question on the diver quest all because of VMK. They just sat in this one room all during the quest saying how unfair it is.

Thats my 2 cents.
