The last time we were at Disneyland was back in March 2005 while we were still living in So. Cal. I'm pretty sure that we ate at Cafe Orleans. Unfortunately all the other times we were there while we lived there I never paid attention to where we ate. I also remember eating at the Wine Country Trattoria in Cal. Adventure.

So tell me where you like to eat. We're probably heading there in October. DH has to do some job training and we were planning on spending the weekend at DL.

I'm ashamed that I've forgotten so much about DL.

I will tell you my favorite places.
Bengal BBQ for a qucik snack in Adventureland
Plaza Inn for a very filling meal, well worth the money, on Main St. They also offer a character breakfast (minnie and friends).
Carnation Cafe on Main St. (I have only been for breakfast, but I hear lunch/dinner is very good, and it is on my list as well!!)
Blue Bayou in NOS, very yummy, but very expensive.
Riverbelle Terrace in Frontierland (but only breakfast us yummy IMHO). Very filling.
Red Rocketts Pizza Port in Tomorrowland, very filling, well worth the money, and free refills!!
Rancho del Zocalo, mexican food in Frontierland. Yummy, and free refills as well!!
Refreshment Corner on Main St. very good big hot dogs, and the best cherry coke ever!!
Golden Horseshoe menu looks yummy, I havent been in years, but we are doing it again this next trip.
Stage Door Cafe in Frontierland is yummy for a quick lunch/dinner. They have yummy hot choclate as well!!
Those are my favs in DL, now for some in DCA:
Never been to Wine Country Trattoria, but I hear good things, and we are eating there this October!!
Cocina Cucamonga is pretty good, serves some of the same things at Rancho del Zocalo.
Taste Pilots Grill is good for burgers, they are pretty big too.

HTH!! It sure makes me hungry!!

Just stay away from the Country Bear restaurant. We threw away an entire meal w/out taking a single bite (mine was horrible, and we had bought two.) Not to mention the ridiculously long lines. We do like Bengal BBQ, and their prices are decent.

I haven't been there in a while. But at Disneyland I like French Market. Their beef stew in a bread bowl is great. And I like the chicken fusili at The Pizza Port. You get a lot of food for the price at the Pizza Port.

At California Adventure I like the Pacific Wharf's brocolli cheese soup in a bread bowl.

A previous poster said they don't like Country Bear restaurant. I'm assuming they mean Hungry Bear. I actually really like their burgers. But the line can be a bit long.

French Market used to be one of my favs, until they changed the menu. There is no more beef stew in a bread bowl, or anything in a bread bowl for that matter from my understanding.

Pacific Wharf is good, I forgot about it.

Hungry Bear does have very long lines, but I have never been very impressed with their food. Kinda blah in IMHO.

What?!? When did the menu change?

Last month I believe. Check it out at allears, it doesnt look very good to me.:sad1:

Sadly, I've no food in the parks that floats my boat. Goofy's is okay, as is Storytellers, for sit down. I actually enjoyed White Waters more than anything else!

Shelley in WA

That's interesting because we LOVED Hungry Bear and hated Bengal BBQ on our last trip.:confused3

I like Cafe Orleans for their Gumbo, Ratatouille (soo amazing) and Pommes Frittes !

I like Blue Bayou for the atmosphere, their wedge salad, gumbo, chicken, and desserts!

For breakfast I like Carnation Cafe !!!

I'm not familiar with that site. Where do I go to see a new menu?

I just went and checked out the site I mentioned, and apparently their menu is not updated. I will find one that is updated and post.

My favorites are:

Chicken Fusilli from Pizza Port
Roastbeef Sandwich from Pacific Wharf
Chicken Fingers and Mozz Sticks from Stage Door Cafe
Cream Cheese filled Preztels from Coke Corner

OK, now I'm hungry:cutie:

In Downtown Disney, we like Naples a lot - good pizza and a good size for the price. We also like Rain Forest Cafe somewhat. At the DLH, we love Goofy's Kitchen. At PPH, I like the little snack bar/coffee bar in the lounge off the lobby (cannot recall the name). At GCH, Storytellers is pretty good. In DL, we always eat at Carnation Cafe but the lines are awful due to limited seating so make sure you arrange priority seating. We have eaten there for breakfast, lunch, dinner AND a separate dessert meal. I like River Belle Terrace but sometimes it is tricky finding a table while you are walking with your tray of food. Bengal BBQ serves good chicken skewers. Blue Ribbon Bakery on Main Street has good pastries and coffee drinks. In DCA, we like Wine Country Trattoria.

Thanks for the link to the menu.

Ugh. I hope they don't get rid of the stuff I like at the Pizza Port and at Pacific Wharf. I'm a picky eater so the beef stew, chicken fuseli (sp?), and brocolli cheese soup are the only things I really liked in the whole park.

Cafe Orleans used to have a really great BBQ pork sandwiche that came with yummy pasta salad. I was sad to see that go too.

Thanks for all the replies. I did go to allears.net to look at the menus. Pretty typical of Disney I think. It's definitely a little different from WDW. I'm sure we'll find something to eat but it was good to get recommendations on what others like and what to avoid.

Gahh! I didn't know allears menus weren't up to date! Boo!

What other menu on their site is outdated?
