I know most of us do Trip Reports and talk about those magic moments, but what have been your all-time favourite magic moments at DLRP??

My first magic moment comes from my second day trip to DLRP... We stayed really late to watch the fireworks, and I can remember being nine (and a half!!) years old and watching them. I honestly felt like I was flying.... Though now I wonder if my Dad was holding me up so I hovered!! Seriously though, it was a defining moment of my childhood!

My second magic moment that really made me fall in love with the place again, was our recent trip to Cafe Mickey... Got hugs off Gepetto, kisses from Gideon and Mr Smee (Much to Robert's jealousy  !), kisses off Minnie Mouse (My turn for jealousy!), and Goofy and Captain Hook playing with Roberts hair.... Absolutely magic!!

Come on then, whats your magic moment??

I'm really glad I found this board and post trip reports - its a great reminder to me about everything we did and saw on our trips:goodvibes .

My outstanding memory from my trips so far though, is without a doubt -

Last November, Christmas season at DLRP. About 20 minutes before Enchanted Candleabration was due to start, me, DD, and Dniece were outside Caseys Corner with some hot drinks. It was dark, and cold (we were all in our coats, hats and gloves) when we heard the tinkly music on Main St, and the "snow" started fallling. DD and Dniece started dancing in the snow in the middle of Main St - and I was welling up :lovestruc !

Just the thought of that tinkly music, right now, gives me shivers :cloud9: .

Great thread!!! :-)

My favourite DLRP memory is from the first time I went when I was about 11 or 12. Watching the "Hey There, Hi There, Ho There Parade" and like you say, jsut being transported somewhere else!! Minnie and Mickey waved down at me, and I couldn't help but cry.

I'm still the same now! If a character waves at me I'm gone, and if I see them with a little kid, I completely break down, even reading TR's with children in gets me going.....

I love Disney SO much!

When we went for Christmas season when my DD was 3 and Jasmine waved at my DD while we were watching the parade and I got a picture of dd reaction and she had so much joy in her eyes. She is 6 now and I don't think we will ever get that reaction again even though she still loves the characters.

I don't have many trips to call upon for memories but last year as we were about to go home both Stitch and Minnie came over to my daughter for cuddles and photos (during the Halloween villains show). She was so chuffed and thought it was because they knew we were about to leave.

These are the few that stand out for me from our first trip back in January.

Seeing the OUADP for the first time (even though Kyra cried the whole way through it lol) made me physically want to bawl my eyes out.

Being made Family of the Day at the Disneyland Park and seeing Kyra open the park with Tigger, also watching them have a bouncing competition. Being treated like VIP's in Fantasyland the whole day was a lovely end to a magical holiday.

Kyra and Minne in Cafe Mickey on my Birthday, wonderful interaction they shared throughout the whole evening.

Candleabration, this show for me is truly magical and when Mickey goes to light the candles i feel tears welling up in my eyes.

Kyra had been asking for Tigger since the day we had arrived, and we finally got to see him on the Character Express that Tigger, when he had to go for a "toilet break", but when he came back Kyra's face lit up with joy and she ran towards him and he gave her the biggest TiggerISTIC hug. She was so happy after that.

Lovely memories everyone...

For me it's got to be us in DLRP on our very first visit... It was a present for Mia for her 4th bday. She loves Minnie so as we walked through the park with Mia wearing her sparkly Minnie Mouse t-shirt, we bumped into Minnie who pointed at Mia's top and asked if she could give Mia a hug... The look on Mia's face says it all... And I couldn't stop crying - lots of emotions flying around (I was also pregnant at the time so imagine)

Here's the photo:

nice thread :)

I think my best time was when we went over to DLP (or Euro Disney as it was then :) ) on impulse, in January, which could have been a disaster weather wise but was thankfully mild and dry.

The park was half empty, we got straight on everything. And most importantly, my eldest son (now 18, I think he was 7 then) was the one chosen by Merlin to pull the sword from the stone, so he got crowned and everything :)

Do they still do that?

Theres always the first glimpse of the castle memory...takes your breathe away eh?
I will always remember how excited and pleased my daughter was when Nala and Timone came off stage and shook her hand...she couldn't stop grinning! I also got a nice smile off simba when the show ended..made my day!!:rotfl: The singing on that show makes me WANT (I haven't yet!haha!) to cry they are all brilliant, my daughter was 6 the first time she saw the show and she couldn't stop crying because it was so great!!...bless her, she takes after her mum!!:rotfl:

Sorry about quality of first photo but I was looking over the other side at Simba and my husband hit me to take a quick photo!:lmao:

What's family of the day?

Basically we was waiting for the park to open and a CM chose us to open to Park with Tigger, we got VIP for all Fantasyland rides and front row seats for Lion King and Kyra got to meet Minnie before anyone else at her meet and greet and got a very large photo for free. It was a lovely day even if it did chuck it down with rain. Kyra also got a certificate signed by Tigger to say she opened the Disneyland Park:goodvibes

Awwwww, how sweet... Lovely memory... :cloud9:

So many it's hard to isolate...Freya (3) just jumping up and down with excitement when she saw the princesses in the parade, Dylan (6) being behind himself with excitement when he saw the giant squid in Nautilus so we had to watch it 11 times (which is why I have a soft spot for Nautilus when lots of people think it's a bit boring!). Also Friar Tuck starting a food fight at Cafe Mickey (with sweets, nothing awful!) which was hilarious and very memorable.

I think my favourite memory is my 1st ever visit there. I had always wanted to go to a Disney park but could not afford to go to America growing up. So we went to DLRP on our honeymoon. Seeing a Disney castle is real life for the 1st time was magical.

Some of the most precious memories are the spontaneous character meets, we've had a few where the park's been quiet and we've bumped into characters looking for someone to have fun with.

As a truly magical moment I think probably the evening of the 15th Anniversary VIP Event when guests were invited to stay in the park - it was a spectacular evening, with the Daniel Powter mini-concert, Lumiere on stage with the flag dancers, the projections on the castle and an incredible firework display.

Thankfully the DLRP.fr website was there to take these fabulous photos, my camera's battery had run out and the mobile phone pics weren't quite the same. :)

Has to be getting picked for the last float in the studios parade and when my DD got on the float mickey giving her a big hug .and the stupid grin on my face as I waved to all the people in park as we went by :cloud9:

Mine has to be the first time I went.

I point blank refused to ride any large rides (anything bigger than Big Thunder Mountain) until I went to DLRP for the first time about 5 years ago. I decided enough was enough and rode Indiana Jones and Space Mountain (very nervously).

Needless to say I enjoyed both rides and have never looked back since :rotfl:

I have a future event which I hope will become a special memory! In October when we check into the Disneyland Hotel with my parents for their 1st ever Disney experience for their 40th wedding anniversary.
