The CS at SSR is great, but being so close to DTD you have a lot of options and the walk will help build an appetite and even burn some of those calories. Although I don't recommend it for others I consider a Ghirardelli Hot Fudge Sundae a perfectly fine lunch or dinner option.
Don't forget Wolfgang Puck express is just outside the door from SSR. As well as Earl of Sandwich and many others. SSR probably has the largest number of eateries CS or TS available to it within the shortest distance either by walking or water shuttle.
We have also eaten at Captain Cooks at Poly and the Mara at AKL. The latter was much better than the former for food and ambiance (except you can't get Dole Whips at Mara
) and would recommend it as well as Boma and Sanaa (one of the best food experiences we have had at WDW). Jiko I cannot comment on as we have not eaten at any signature restaurants.
