Ok, my husband is on a kick of what is the best food in Disney, and since he isn't on this forum I have to ask the question for him.

What, in your opinion, is the best dessert in Disney....something delicious to satisfy the sweet tooth?? I realize that I won't plan our ADRs around a dessert, but he is just curious! Thanks for your input!!

My Choice is at California Grill/Contemporary Resort...the "Where Dreams Come True" Honey Crunch Cake - Served with chantilly cream, oven-roasted golden pineapple, and Crunch candy crumble. - $10.00

My DH choice was also at California Grill-Bananas and Butterscotch "Buzz" - Caramelized bananas and butterscotch custard stack with coffee caramel, cocoa nib, and crunchy plantain.

I LOVE the Chocolate on Chocolate Whiskey Cake at LeCellier. I do like chocolate, but I am not normally a big dessert eater and NEVER finish what I order (usually give the rest to DH). When I had the Chocolate on Chocolate Whiskey Cake last year, I wanted to lick the plate! :worship:

Grapefruit Cake - A Brown Derby Original! Light Layers of Yellow Cake with fresh Grapefruit Cream Cheese Icing $8

Over the years I have seen more opinions on the greatness or disappointment of this dessert than you can imagine! I fall into the camp of the GREATLY disappointed. I have also seen many who have raved over this dessert one trip, only to have it fall off it's pedestal the next vacation. It would seem that HBD puts out a good version of this cake but then (all too often) puts out a dry, tasteless version. Because it is such a controversial dessert, I don't think it could carry the vote for best dessert at WDW. Sorry...

I am watching this thread closely to see if anything appeals to me for my upcoming trip...

The best dessert...voted by me, a real dessert eater and my DH who hardly ever eats dessert and just isn't a real sweet eater.....is....

Carmelized Banana Gateau at V&A. When we went a 2nd time, DH made me call to request it be on the menu when we did the Chef's Table. Lucky for me, it was!!! FAB!!!

the "where dreams come ture" honey crunch cake is the best!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm going to be so sad when the year(s) of a million dreams is over and they remove this.

The Bread Pudding A LA Mode with Banana Foster's Sauce at OHANA'S......soooo heavenly....

Either the Banana Butterscotch Buzz from California Grill, or the Bread and Butter Pudding from Raglan Road.

Almond crusted cheesecake at Narcoossees

Absolutely! It's worth going to Narcoosees just for the cheesecake. We'll be there in September and I already have plans to order an extra cheesecake to take back to my room for a midnight snack. Another good dessert though is the ricotta cake at Tutto Italia.

I agree with O'Hana's banana fosters. It was the favorite of my entire family (9 of us) last trip. We were fighting over who got the last bite!!! I won!

The cheesecake at Beerworks Grille at BW.....melt in your mouth YUMMY!!!!:thumbsup2

Me, too!!! I completely ADORE the chocolate whiskey cake. :worship:

The bread and butter pudding at Raglan Road is AMAZING!! So far it is my absolute fave, but I'm more than willing to give some others a shot at the title :lmao:

DH and I are going in September and I plan to try many, many more desserts!!

Banana brulee at the Kona Cafe - heaven!

:thumbsup2

However, I am looking forward to the bread pudding at Raglan Road this upcoming vacation and I haven't been to 'Ohana since they started serving the bananas foster bread pudding so my vote may change!:jumping1:

Fantastic desserts I have had in the past are the milk chocolate creme brulee at Fultons (don't know if they still serve it there), the Fog Horn at Ghirardelli (although a friend who was there last month told me it wasn't on the menu), the No Way Jose at B&C, the Tanzanian chocolate purses at Jiko (no longer on the menu)...that's all I can think of...
As I said above--the hugest disappointment ever was that grapefruit cake at BD. Tasteless...
