Happy Father's Day if there are any dads lurking out there.

We are off to church camp to drop off DS. We pick him up next Saturday morning. Our camp is wonderful, so I'm a little jealous. He'll have a wonderful time. It's nice to get away for a few days with your friends.

We went out to eat last night with DH's parents. We went to Kona Ranch and it was very good. That was our official Father's Day celebration, so DS could be a part.

Wow, Melissa! Burnley isn't far from you. Maybe I will try to come along. That would be a fun DIS meet, wouldn't it? We'll see what the future brings. DH can't remember where Chris lives. He'll ask next time they talk.

We're enjoying a beautiful, summer day here in NJ. Right now it's just Lew & me here.....our kids went shopping with our hosts and we're going to grill some good stuff for dinner before we head home.

Carol - several people from MD were at yesterday's party. One couple drove up on Friday evening and said they had nasty t-storms. Hope you didn't get them too!

I guess it is awfully quiet right now. We have a small break in the action. Took my dad out to brunch & DQ. Soon my sister & her DH will be here soon to be the freeloaders they are We will be grilling some good stuff for my dad

Elaine - we had a barbeque for Fathers Day too! I *think* my Dad liked the hawaiian shirt we got him It is so he doesn't feel left out when we go to either the Polynesian or SW luau (sp?)!!

I found out why my back was killing me.

Kidney Stones, again. Spent from 11:30 to 4 pm in the ER. Pete has gone out to get me drugs. I will feel better once the little bast**ds have passed. The good news is that I have no more! THiese 2 have been in my right kidney 15 months, they just decided it was no fun there anymore. I hope to never have another, but this will be #12 and lucky number 13!!!!

Oh Marsha, I'm so sorry tht you have to deal with that! I have heard that kidney stones can be very painful. I hope you'll be feeling better very soon.
Elaine & Gaspode-It sounds like you had nice Father's Day BBQs. We also did that at my SIL's house. I didn't get to see my Dad today because he is out of town, but I'll get to celebrate with him when he gets home next week.

Evening all... everyone just left us so it is finally quiet here at home

The cookout was great. Good food and then we went for ice cream after. My dad said he had a great day so that's all that mattered

Marsha, sorry to hear about the kidney stone. I really hope you are feeling better soon.

Yikes Marsha. Hope you're feeling better soon. Hope these are the last you ever have to deal with.

We got DS dropped off at camp. It wasn't too hot out there and that is unusual. He saw lots of people he remembered from past years and lots of cute girls. He was a happy camper.

On the way home we stopped at our local lake and ate dinner at a cafe. They have nice decks outside with tables, umbrellas and mist machines. It was so nice and peaceful looking out over the lake and a guy with a guitar was playing. We had a nice dinner while we watched the sailboats and motorboats.

Now we are back home and contemplating what work we need to get done tonight. It'd be nice to just kick back for the evening, but remodeling calls so we'll probably go through some more stuff. DH just bought a set of Mr. Bean dvd's so we may watch a little of that.

Merry - how old is your son? Sounds like a nice week at camp for him.

Here is Leah's picture from her recital Friday night. They danced to "Girls Just Want to Have Fun" for tap and "A Dream is a Wish Your Heart Makes" from Cinderella for ballet.

LK, very cute. You must be a pro at getting her hair all glued back. SIL has to do my niece's hair for dance.

Gail, we have had thunder storms the past several evenings. Saturday's were particularly heavy but I was driving back from Baltimore and missed them.

DH likes to take road trips so, spur of the moment, we drove to the boardwalk for dinner. It was fun.

Carol, I wet it, put tons of gel in it, and then hair spray the heck out of it to hold it in place. I found a great little thing at Target that easily forms a bun.
