I got my small garden planted last night, before the storm. Just 3 packs of flower seeds, 4 tomato plants, and some zucchini. It should be a good start. I haven't had a garden in about 7 or 8 years.

I am going to my Mom's today to grocery shop for her and pay her taxes.

Lorraine-Sorry about the Saturday riddle, this morning it would need to be called the 'Silly Saturday Lars had too many margaritas last night riddle' We hosted the monthly Euchre party at our house last night & it was quite late before everyone left! and I drank toooo much........but it was FUN!

We are having a beautiful sunny day here too and highs in the low 80's! Looks like summer will arrive after all. I am going to the Twins game again tonight, and for the first time this season, I wish we had an outdoor park!

Thunderheads in the distance, here. I guess we might be in for more rain tonight. Sigh.

DS mowed (or should I say hayed?) the 3 lawns he cuts. The rain is making the grass grow like mad and it's really too wet to cut! He leaves tomorrow after church for church camp, so he had no choice. The mower kept stopping up and he is soooo tired! I told him it was good he was getting a week away from us to rest up.

Both my kids have stopped up noses. I'm praying I don't add that to my sore neck. Summer colds are so hard to shake.

We are headed to Oklahoma City to dinner with the in-laws and their old army buddies. We are celebrating Father's Day tonight since we drive to church camp tomorrow. We might sneak in a quick trip to Sam's along the way. I'll check in later tonight.

Yes, it's 1am and I'm still up... for some bizarre reason I've just gone through a strange 2hr cleaning fit LOL. Well, it'll make tomorrow's big house cleanup that much easier I suppose!

Marsha and Elaine - hope you are both feeling at least a little better today and enjoying your weekends... and the same goes for everyone else, hope you are enjoying your Saturdays!!

CS - I hope that the weather stays that little bit better (i.e. no rain) for a long while to come for you...

Well that's about it for me... Perhaps I'll go and try to sleep! DBF is out with friends and later home than I expected Ah well... he'll be back soon I'm sure. I'll be around for another 10 mins or so if anyone wants to say hi (I'm also on AIM, gaspode38)

Hi name-twin! My DH has a good friend that lives in the UK. They lived over here for a few years and the guys worked together. I'll have to ask DH where Chris and his wife live. Wouldn't it be a hoot if you knew them? Chris hates Disney, but his wife has better taste. LOL! We bought them a Mickey ball for their car before they returned home. He was disgusted!

We also have a brother Scout troop in Burnleigh, at least I think that is how you spell it. They are coming next year to visit us and our boys may go visit them in 3 years. My world geography is not so hot. Is that far from you or are you even familiar with where it is?

Hi, everyone! Wild weekend so far! Friday night was a surprise 40th birthday party for one of my BILs. Lots of fun!

Saturday morning was a swim meet. I did my first session as a full fledged official.....I swore I wasn't going to DQ anyone but the kids made a ton of mistakes and I had to do it. Scary. Just don't want to make a mistake and DQ a kid that doesn't deserve it.

Dinner out Saturday night.....yummy Thai food with another BIL

Today I've already taken my mom and sister to the airport, made the beds and done some laundry!

Whew!

Wow, Gina. You are busy.

A judge! I am impressed. I timed a few swim meets but mostly I sat at the ribbon table and wrote ribbons. One of our judges had gift certificates from Dairy Queen. If he had to DQ one of the very young swimmers, he would give them a DQ certificate. DS got one once. You are very brave!

Good Morning Everyone!
Lazy Morning around here so far........Just Dylan & I are up The twins are still sleeping & since it's Father's Day DH gets to snooze a little longer before I let Dylan pounce on him
No major plans today......MIL called about 1/2 ago to say that everyone was going to SIL's house for dinner (MIL is bringing the food) & that BIL needs help putting up their swing set so we should come over....haven't mentioned it to DH yet...so we'll see if we do that or not.

We are spending a quiet day at home today. Leah went to the cottage until Monday with her grandparents. I need to get some work done today, and Lenny is doing some yard work. We might take Logan out to do something special later on. Maybe bowling or miniature golf.

Gina, you accomplished more before 8 am than I can get done in a good day! I am impressed!
