I'm not too alarmed about swine flu yet....but mainly because it doesn't appear to have mutated yet, and because it's such a high cure rate at this point (unless you have underlying health issues, of course....then it is definitely a concern.

Brenda, I'm with you when it comes to flu shots.....I've gotten them twice in my life, and both times came down with the worst flu I've ever had! I do make my kids get them though....mainly because of DH's job.....being in the jail all day, he's exposed to all sorts of nasty things that the inmates are carrying. He sprays himself down with Lysol before he gets into his car after his shift, and we buy Purell by the boxload at Costco!:lmao:

That's one of the things I'm worried about most with Jordan working in WDW this fall... she'll be exposed to all sorts of germs, including swine flu, everyday. :scared: How bad did your friends get with the flu?

The ones who were at WDW were given Tamiflu when they got home and told to stay in for a few days. They are feeling better now, but not great yet. My friends who were in Chile were down for the count for almost two weeks but are now back home and feeling pretty good. I hope the vaccine is coming soon and Jordan can get a dose. I would think that would allay your fears a little, Mom.

Sheesh, I don't post in a day and I'm on page 8! By the time I submit this post, it might be on page 9! :faint:

All kidding aside, the buttons look fab, and Kathy's noshables and drinkables look even better! :thumbsup2

Chelsi's going on an anniversary trip (woohoo! have fun!), Allison found the Wine Snob, Gina is someone I'd want to travel with (Disney, Vegas AND Maui? Wow!), lurkers (especially those named Lori) are always welcome here, and Elin managed to capture a picture of petrified people!

Did I manage to cover most of what I missed?

Oh, V&A is 90 days out only. No +10 stuff for them. I figured I'd answer the question since it was posted to me about 6 pages ago. :lmao:

I know I posted yesterday morning and 24 hours later I'm 5 pages behind

I'd be concerned, too. And in her case I would say that if an effective vaccine were available by then she should get a shot just because she will be around so many people on a daily basis.

Does she know what her assignment is going to be?

All she knows is that she'll be in Merchandising... she'll find out where at check in. She's hoping to be placed at Epcot and work in the F&W shops. :thumbsup2 Even if she's not, she's planning on trying to pick up extra shifts there, just to be close to the daily grazing. LOL! :rotfl: She won't have to buy groceries for at least 6 weeks... or is it 7 weeks this year?

Hey friendies! I just sent out the first batch of email invites ... I'll send the rest later today or tomorrow. Please be sure to PM with your email address so that I can send you one if you're planning to come.

Big thanks and lots of hugs to Cass and Nancy (Timon & Cntkg1) for putting their heads together and creating a fabulous design for us! :grouphug::grouphug::grouphug:

Thanks. It's hard enough to send your kids out into the world (no pun intended ;) WDW, get it? :rolleyes1), but factoring in a full fledged Pandemic... well... that just adds to the stress level! :scared:

I hear you loud and clear! We have pushed two birdies out and agonized over their self-taught flying lessons. I know I would have been much more worried if there had been more than normal everyday junk to deal with!

At Brown Derby to celebrate our anniversary, our server took our picture and later returned with 2 glasses of champagne and this special Brown Derby menu:

I think this is really cool! All in all, this "celebrate" theme is being handled much better than I ever expected! It's not like we got free stuff all the time, but it was really nice hearing "happy anniversary" all the time. The CM's were really good at taking the 10 seconds to acknowledge you and it makes a real difference :thumbsup2

Awww... love the Brown Derby menu! Great way to celebrate your anniversary!!! :dance3:

Oh, and I'll take one of those meatball subs from Tony's right about now. :goodvibes

Thanks and you're welcome :goodvibes

Off to go play golf with DH and our neighbors, should be a fun (hot!) afternoon/evening.

I posted the Chefs de France review on the blog this morning, along with our very long day in Epcot-- but it was a good day; Peach Snap in China, Strongbow in UK (twice) and Grand Marnier slushie to finish the Epcot portion of the day :thumbsup2 Shame MK is dry, I was on roll :drinking:

I love the Brown Derby menu!!! That was such a lovely thing for them to do for you!! :goodvibes

Brenda, That youtube video is hilarious! :rotfl2: DH & I laughed ourselves silly. We are sending links to other DW addicts.

I received my invite! Really pretty pic & cool graphics! :thumbsup2

hmgray95 Thanks for Commander's drink info!! I read through my SL mag last week but missed that!

LOL.... They are full size and include gin and vodka martinis and cosmos!

And Bacco has dime martini and $10 lunches in the French Quarter!

Now if I could just be home to enjoy it!:rotfl2:

So when are you coming home so we can go out to lunch?!!

Kathy, Did you order buttons for me? Do I owe you or Brenda?

Chellie, Love the food porn! The tuna at BD looks awesome! The personalized menu is really nice.

:wizard: Hoping that the vaccine is available before she heads off! I know you'll be worried enough just sending her off!

Remember this?

Then this morning he decided that it's really supposed to be him (or me or you or anyone) giving the Swine Flu a noogie. :lmao::lmao::lmao:

Giving the swine flu a noogie??? BWAHAHAHAhahahaha! *snort*
:rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2: Love it. I'm grateful I had no beverages to spittake.

I love that menu! So awesome! And I really liked the Lady and Tramp spaghetti pic. I think next time you should have a pic of DH pretending to move the meatball closer to you with his nose. ;)

Chelle - Read your latest blog entry. I think you and your DH should just have stayed at Epcot to continue drinking! ;)
