I think I'm actually younger than you

I graduated from college early along with getting married shortly after so sometimes I sound older than I am. I tried it because I'm slightly insane. When we do go out to the bars with my husband's coworkers, I have been known to mix uppers and downers between Red Bull & Vodkas or even to a lesser extent Jack & Cokes so it wasn't too far of a stretch to want to try something new.
I understanding wanting to not live in the college areas! Back when we lived in New England we were in walking distance to my college but so not a good area of town to live in. When I took this job down south in a town thats well has more bad areas than good areas, we made sure we stayed on the right area of town in a brand new neighborhood. Your place is cute & trust me you are never quite finished with your house no matter what you improve. In some ways be glad you don't have grass as at least then you won't have to mow it twice a week in the rainy season!
I've had many lunches at GF Cafe & each time it has been amazing. Beside my first time there, every other time I've had the most amazing servers that are attentive and funny and looking like they are having a good time. You will probably love it!
OK, good to know I'm not the only young one in here with these people who are easily corrupting me since they're older (but only by a little bit, right?

)
I know about never being finished....my mother has been in her house almost 20 years. Just when she finishes one improvement project, it's time to do maintenance on something old! She's about to replace every single doorknob, draw/cabinet pull, and hinge in the house because she decided that brass is sooooo 1993 and it's time for oil-rubbed bronze now.

Getting parts of my house not so 1980 would be nice!
Good to hear you liked GF Cafe!
Abby, love the house! It's cute! And I hope you can convince your Gran to try Napoli ... it was really quite good and the waiters were cute, too!
Thanks Brenda! I talked to my Gram more about food and the conversation went like this:
Abby : Here Gram, look at this review of Via Napoli (shows her Brenda's review). Are we sure we don't want to try it?
Gram: It does look yummy and I'm up for it and anything else you love.
Abby: Well are you ok giving up Grand Floridian Cafe to eat at Via Napoli? If we really want to do both, we could do Via Napoli for lunch on our Epcot day.
Gram: You mean NOT give up tea? I don't have an itinerary yet, you know! You're slacking in your trip planning!
Abby: No Gram, we were never considering giving up Tea. I'll just make a lunch ADR for Via Napoli. I'm not slacking! I was waiting til we made all of ADR's to send you a copy.
Abby, VERY cute house!

I love that it's in the woods--you could use pine needles for ground cover since it's too shady for grass. Be glad you won't have to mow grass! We got a book at Lowe's on landscaping (not that we've done any

) and it had a lot of ideas for shady yards.
Thanks Jamie. I am very glad I don't have to mow, or spend the money on buying a mower! Thanks for the tip about the book.
Abby - I love the house!!!!!
Thanks!
Abby - such a cute house! Me and that tree in the driveway wouldn't get along though!

I just love all the trees around the house though, and if you won't have to mow so often, that is a blessing. Hostas! (depending on other growing conditions where you live), so much variety there, and some have beautiful flowers. Or pots of impatients here and there, they'll love you for providing shade. My impatients froze and are sitting in little limp bunches in pots on the balcony, just need to carry the pots to the shed before we get any more snow... bleeee.
I know...my poor car! When I first knew I was moving, I was all excited because I could finally give my poor car garage parking. But then I realized I could put the kitty litter boxes in there and not have to smell them in the house and that took priority!
Thanks for the plant tips. I can do a lot of stuff here because it only dips below freezing for about 2 weeks a year.
Abby, what a cute house!!
Also, I was thinking....have we discussed doing holiday cards amongst the friendies again this year? Everyone seemed to really enjoy that last year.
Thanks!
I wasn't here last year...whats this about holiday cards? Sounds like a sweet idea.
