We check out on the morning of the 24th, so we'll just barely be there at the same time. Hopefully we can meet up for a drink or at least a congratulatory hug.

So this confirms that we will once again miss one another. We are there at the beginning of the month. Sounds like lots of fun will be had by all.

Here's where I'm going to start asking people who have reservations for WDW this October to start letting me know their dates (if they choose to share). Anyone who's interested in getting together with other DIS-foodie friends can use it as a reference. Also, I'm thinking of trying to get a bunch of us together one night for a little shindig at the Beach Club Villas ... nothing fancy, just good folks sharing a little drink or two.

Ooopise Woooopise ... Bad Economy Takes a Bite Out of Food Plans ...

I am sorry to hear the economy woes have hit you in Stinktown too, Brenda. I think I had already told you that we are in the same boat you are: Bob's salary was cut by 20% starting in December and bonuses stopped in October. I am fortunate that most of my students are still with me. Our older DD was not so lucky. After 8 months at a new job in a new part of the country she was let go. Luckily she found something right after the first of the year but it took 3 months to accomplish that.

We look at it much the same as you do. We have jobs and insurance. I am hoping that the cutbacks that companies are instituting will help keep them all afloat. And when things turn around we can all go celebrate in WDW!

SOOOOOOO Greg and i booked our honeymoon today!!!!!!!!!!!! SOOO excited, and yes it does include a final stop at WDW!!!! We will be going to Vegas 3 nights, Maui for 8 nights and finally WDW/GF for 6 nights!! Disney will be from 10/23-29th...i lost track of the list of when Brendy's Friendies will be there..but if anyone is there when we are i would love to know wheeee Food and WIne fest (FINALLY) here we come..

How in the heck did I miss this for two and a half months?!?!?

THIS is a Public Service Announcement from the Planky Board of Kitchen Safety...

When one is microwaving left overs, it is strictly advised that one does not stick two fingers into said leftovers when the plastic wrap on such is blown up something short of a jiffy pop ready to explode...

Doing such can cause scalding of such fingers, causing them to swell up like big old sausages, turn red and make you say things that are only heard late night on HBO...

(I'll give you one guess who did this today... )
(and you should have heard the words that came out of HER mouth )

In addition to bad language... lunch was ruined... (what a pity...)

Our advice to said stupid person is to spend the rest of the day with her fingers in cool water and to refrain from taking any heavy utensils and beating the microwave up.

I came on here this morning to ask any of you guys a question about The Melting Pot. I've looked at their menu online and don't see any pricing for kids. Does anyone remember seeing that on the menu, or how they do for kids? I'm sure dd would eat the food but I'd hate to pay adult prices for her!

We're thinking about going to Myrtle Beach for a week (redneck capital of the south, I know) and I saw that there was a MP there. You know I'm planning the food even for a beach trip!

& I always wanted an Easy Bake Oven... do you still have to provide your own lightbulb for those cause I only use compact florescent and it could be DAYS before my hockey puck brownie gets done...
