Since Em and Jake are home, they are helping me write. As a reminder Em is in Purple and Jake is in Green. Chuck is still in Sith red.
Day Three Part Two
Are you ready to go on Safari with us?
JAMBO Everybody!!! The line was very shorts and we were able to walk right on. Emily and I got the front short seat with Chuck and Jake behind us. We were right behind the driver and could feel his airconditioning. Excellent!!!
If I had only known about the whole AC thing before hand
..Lynn would have been stuck staring at the back of my mellon while I soaked up the A/C!!!!! What a gentleman.
We saw the normal crocodiles.
And the normal four legged beasties.
This was our view as we looked over the savanna.
This is my favorite part of the safari.
It certainly doesnt look like Florida anymore.
Here is Ems favorite: elephants!
We were lucky to see the lions!
Em got this shot.
Em?? Hmm
looks like somebody needs to check their exif data! Let it go, Chuck.
The rhinos were out in force. Here are some lovely shots of rhino behinds.
These two were having a good time in the mud.
The ostriches always make me really nervous.
Beware of the evil ostriches !!!!
After our beautiful morning safari, we decided to go see my favorite: the gorillas!
Along the Pangani trail,we saw this little guy out on morning watch.
Alas, there were no gorillas out that morning.
It was EMH. I guess they were still sleeping. Maybe they are not used to getting up so early!
We always look for these monkeys because they look like our cat Ellie Belly.
Except they are not as fat and dont have the permanent look of contempt on their faces.
But there were no Belly Monkeys today either. I guess everyone on that trail slept in.
Except the meerkats.
We decided this is where they throw the people who cant pay their resort bill. Ill bet there is no room service.
After that disappointment, we did have some excitement at Rafikis Planet Watch.
