Since Chuck is having trouble keeping up, Jake and Em have stepped in with their comments for this chapter.
Day Three Part Three
We hardly ever go out to Rafikis Planet Watch, but Emily loves it,
I like the goats and we had time before Nemo, so we hopped the train and were on our way.
I wanted to get pictures on everyone on the train, but Jake wouldnt cooperate. Here is Chuck persuading him.
That is one of my favorite pictures from the trip.
I like the train to Rafikis because you sit sideways and you can see the animals stalls.
After our train ride and a short walk through the forest, we were there.
It is always so nice and cool inside. We got there just as they were starting a medical procedure on one of the animal. We affectionately call her Spikey Lizard.
It was an exploratory surgery on a female lizard who was having digestive problems. She was so small, but there were a ton of people working on her. This is just the doctors trying to put her to sleep so they could work.
It took awhile.
We walked around the display windows and found her mate, Mr. Spikey Lizard. I dont know if it was my imagination, but it seemed to me he was looking for her.
He did look sad.
They have a lot of interesting displays. The kids liked this one.
This guy was cool. He looked he was floating, but underneath the water he was standing.
We watched a lady get the food ready for the scorpion. We were all wincing when she put her hand in the cage, but she was not frightened at all and touched it just to show us she was OK. Showoff!
One of Jakes favorite things to do is look at all the cameras around the Animal Kingdom.
You can change the cameras and the angles and pan around to see the animals. There is one on the safari so you can watch the trucks go by.
My favorite camera was the gorilla camera, it is placed near one of the rails on the outside part of the gorilla place. After a while people noticed the camera because I was just spinning it around, I stopped it on the people and they saw the camera, they looked at the camera and started waving at the camera. It was kind of funny. If youre ever over at the planet watch place, you should try those camera things out!!
Here is a view of the baby giraffe from one of the cameras.
Here is one for you Ratatouille fans.
Back out into the heat and off to see the goaty goats!
This goat enjoyed it as much as Emily did!
Off to find Nemo!!
