I'm so glad I found your tr. I LOVE it!!! I just wish I lived as close to WDW as you do!

We're eating lunch at the Garden Grill next month. And it was one of our favorites too. I'm so sad to see it go.

Can't wait to read more popcorn::

Enjoy your meal at the Garden Grill! I'm glad you are enjoying the report!

Gotta love OT time when it translates into another Mickey vacation:goodvibes

Oh Yeah!!!

Okay, maybe I shouldn't be so hard on you for getting your part done! I am so excited about December! NO Kids!! (not that I don't love you guys.)

So I missed the whole you are going back in December thing! Where are you going to stay????

I just booked DH and I for our 1 yr anniversary at WL 10/8-10/14!!! Somehow I suckered him into it. I am a very lucky woman since I am going in Sept. with a friend and then spending 1 week in England/Paris then flying home and going to Disney again!!!!

Can't wait to read the next installment.

Gotta love the OT paying for an adults-only trip!!!

Charles and I are still debating whether we want to go down in October for our anniversary without the kiddos. Food and Wine is definitely calling our names!

Great trippie! I LOVE the Window decoration you set up...sooo pretty! :thumbsup2 Can't wait for the next update!

You are lucky!! I am so looking forward to our next Disney trip, but I would love to go to England. I am obsessed with BBCAmerica and I read every novel I can get my hands on that is set there! I want to hear all about it it!

You should go! Ocotber is wonderful. We took a last minute trip one year just for a weekend and had a wonderful time. I'm not cazy about the wine portion, but the food is the best!!

Thanks! I saw Christmas stuff at Hobby Lobby today and it's given me all kind of ideas for December at CBR!

Hope everything is ok...haven't heard from ya in a while.

We are fine! Just enjoying our childfree week!! ;)

Update on the way (Finally!)

Day Two Part Five!!!

After our lovely meal at Garden Grill, we managed to roll ourselves over to the Canadian Pavilion to catch one of my favorite things about EPCOT: Off Kilter! She says it’s just for the music, not the eye candy….I tend to think other wise!

I missed them completely in December so I was overdue for some tuneage. She was jones’ing for some OK!

They were in great form and I tried not to drool. She didn’t succeed, but was able to pass the drool off as sweat!

And now for your viewing pleasure, one of my favorite Off Kilter tunes! (Hold tight for an eighties flash back! And beware, it was taken with Chuck’s camera and not so stable, but still good.)

Run Run Away

Aren’t they fun? Here’s the view from their side of the pond.

It was blazing hot so after one set We hopped over to the UK to cool off. I dearly love the little tea shop the have there. In the back they have jewelry and I debate every trip about buying a piece. I love the Celtic jewelry, but my Scottish blood hates to spend the money!! They had a chalkboard behind the counter quizzing you on what the Brits call certain things, you know, loo for bathroom. We did pretty well, except for cellphone. You see alllllll of those Dr. Who and Robin Hood episodes have paid off….who says that watcing TV can’t be handy! I had talked to a lovely castmember named Peter earlier, but I couldn’t find him to ask. We hurried back to Canada for another set from Off Kilter. I never get tired of those guys! And she has the restraining order to prove it!

Another thing on “our list” was to ride in the back of a Friendship boat. We decided to head over to DHS for supper (and to try to ride Toy Story Mania) and we’d take the boat.
As we were passing through the UK on our way out, I noticed they were setting up for the little show they do, King Arthur and the Holy Grail. Think of Monty Python as a Streetsmophere performer. I caught the end of it by myself on one of our other trips and I knew the family would love it. Of course, Chuck wanted to see it but the children were hot and just wanted to stay in the Tea Shop. They did manage to come out and watch after a bit. It was hilarious……no, I mean It was RUBBISH! (See the show. You’ll understand.)

DSCF8445.jpg

After the show, Chuck decided to walk through the UK shops (yeah, I was trying to put the idea of jewelry into his head) and who did we see in the Toy shop but my friend Peter from earlier. He recognized us and I asked him about the cellphone. It’s a mobile. I told him we learned most of our britspeak from BBC America. We love to watch “How Clean is your House.” He said, “I can’t believe you watch that rubbish!” We did agree on Doctor Who, however. He was too cute….and way too young for me.

After I was not able to hint Chuck into a jewelry purchase (Oh, I got the hint…I choose to ignore it!) , we were on our way to the International Gateway to await our boat. Here it comes!

And there are our seats!

I don’t know if we mentioned earlier in our trip report, but some nice person here on the DIS had set up a webcam from their balcony at the Boardwalk and we watched Illuminations on the computer every night until we left. As we neared the Boardwalk, we look for the camera and believe or not, we saw it!! Can you? It was kind of like some high tech / stalker type version of Where’s Waldo?

We waved at all the people out there in internetland and soon we were docking at DHS!

Part six coming right up!

Day Two Part Six!

We went ahead and took the children’ picture with the Star Wars sign so that wouldn’t slow us down on Saturday.

DSCF8453.jpg

We immediately went to check out the new Toy Story Midway Mania!

DSCF0614.jpg

When we got there, the wait was 70 minutes and no fastpasses were available! No Toy Story for us today! I’m sorry, I don’t’ care how good of a ride it is,,, there is no-way that I am going to stand in line for that length of time…I can’t help but to think that the length of time I would spend standing in line would be longer than it would take me to drive from Daytona Beach to Orlando….. So we decided to check out Star Tours and ride it, because it would be crazy later in the week as well.

DSCF0618-1.jpg

We walked right on! It definitely put us in the right frame of mind for Star Wars Weekends!

DSCF8457-1.jpg

DSCF8456.jpg

After our quick trip to Endor, we wandered over to Indiana Jones. There is a little Indiana Jones shop we like right next to the Prime Time. When we’ve visited, hardly anyone has been in there. I was anxious to see if things had changed since the new movie was out.

The door was locked!! I think that is the first time I’ve ever seen a WDW shop locked up!!!!
They had a little cart down the way selling Indiana Jones things and I so wanted to get this. And as usual, when we don’t purchase something…then it is the one thing that we really wished we would have gotten!

DSCF0619-1.jpg

After a quick and non-eventful dinner at the ABC Commissary, ( one thing that can be said about the commissary, even though the food may be nothing to get crazy about, when there isn’t a crowd in there, it is a good (and A/C) place to unwind) we went over to the Backlot Tour. We haven’t done that in a couple of trips. It was very hot in the queue and I don’t really care for the little show they do at the first (except when Chuck was in it- I’m still drying out from that one, I did the guy on the telephone bit), but I love all the movie stuff they have. This was next to us in the queue.

DSCF0620-1.jpg

Emily sat on the far side so she had the best view.

I think you can tell from our pictures which movies are our favorites.

The bone cages from Pirates

DSCF8463.jpg

Motorcycle form Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade

DSCF8464.jpg

Sandskiff from Return of the Jedi

DSCF8475.jpg

Soon we arrived at Catastrophe Canyon. And surprise, surprise, they are filming a scene!

Looks fine to me.

DSCF8468.jpg

Okay maybe a little water.

DSCF8469.jpg

Okay, a lot of water.

DSCF8470.jpg

Is this all?

DSCF8471.jpg

Now that’s a catastrophe!!

DSCF8473.jpg

Bless her heart, she got wet! But she loved it! We all had wet butts. Luckily we dried fast in the heat!

We were all starting to drag so we decided to take a turn around the big Sorcerer’s Hat to troll for pins and call it a night.

I was so excited to see this one!!

DSCF1079Small.jpg

Maybe that makes up for me not being about to ride it this trip…..but not totally!!

Well, would you look at that! We finally made it to the end of Day Two!

So glad you got your Off Kilter fix!!! Hope we get to see them in December.

We are still here loving your TR ~ I am STILL working on the last one ~ can you believe it?? Pretty soon I am going to get to one of the highlights of our trip when we ran into a certain diser :goodvibes I'll let you know when that part is up.

Backlot tour looked like fun, maybe I'll have to give it a try one of these days!!

Great updates! That's a bummer the Toy Story Mania wait was so long, but I guess that doesn't surprise me.

I like that Pirates pin too!

I am looking forward to it!! I may not be finished with this trip report before the next trip!!

I think the first part is boring, but the ride portion is cool and there was a neat display of villan costumes at the ned, including the queen from Enchanted and Captain Barbosa from Pirates. I am not sure why I didn't take any pictures!

I love those pieces of the ride pins! I've got Pirates, Carousel of Progress and Star Tours now.:lovestruc

Would you believe I've never seen Off Kilter??!! They are definitely on the list for October. ;)

Noooo! Say it isn't so! Well, you can go and see them in October, but you can only look. ;)

Great updates.

Your new pin is great.

I cannot believe the wait is so long for TSM. I guess you have to get there early.

The wheels are definitely spinning on the idea -- I called earlier tonight to make the one ADR we would want "just in case." They had a 6:30 which was perfect -- I think it's meant to be! ;)

Besides, I keep thinking if the theme is Cities in Wonderland that might mean it is going to have Alice stuff, and Alice is my favorite!

Charles thinks we should go, too, which is always important when planning a trip! :rotfl:

Great update! We finally saw Off Kilter this trip!!!

That Indy Mickey -- I am still kicking myself that we passed it up! Sigh.

I hope you got to ride Toy Story Mania on Saturday!

Great update! I am hoping to find some of those pieces of the ride pins. They are just too neat. I am sucker for the Backlot Tour only because of the movie memorabillia. :goodvibes
