Has anyone carried on the 16oz aluminum bottles of beer? The policy states 2 six packs, 12oz, but I think maybe because that's the norm for the glass bottles. They sell the 16oz on board, so I thought it would be ok, but just want to make sure and see if anyone else had any issues.

I believe DCL is holding to their maximum numbers & sizes in the alcohol policy. I do know that you can't take 4 smaller bottles of wine (still totaling, or less than, the 1500ml max allowed) - you can only take 2 bottles, and each bottle can be no larger than 750 ml.

I would think the same applies to the "6 beers of no larger than 12oz each" criteria.

My brothers and DH were involved in a beer exchange on board the Fantasy in Feb. One of my brothers just didn't consider that ounces would be an issue and brought 6 x 16oz, while my other brother and DH brought 6 x 12oz. He crossed his fingers...and no issues at the port. Of course that's just anecdotal and what happened on Feb 13, they might be clamping down more now, or maybe he just got lucky that day.

Cans, good thought. Forgot they still made those, lol. This is for the DH (I can't stand the stuff :crazy2: ), he always get bottles, but for this trip, cans are the way to go. Thanks again.

Thanks, just don't want to chance it. I would have one grumpy DH if they took his beer!

And there are lots of high-quality beers being offered in cans these days. In most respects cans are superior to bottles.
