Been There, Done That and ThenSome:Timandlesley Do Disneyfor18days!11/2 TR IS UP!pg79

There was an ADORABLE girl with Down syndrome on the bus who wanted to sit next to Lauren and they became fast friends. What I LOVE about my daughter is, because of my profession and her aunt with Down syndrome and her great accepting nature she either was totally oblivious that this girl had Down syndrome, or she didn’t care, but they played the ENTIRE way to the airport:

I love this. What a sweet girl! I hope she stays that way forever.

We're headed back, too, for a short girls only trip for MNSSHP - leaving next Friday. I'm looking forward to seeing Magic Kingdom all dressed up in orange. October in Magic Kingdom is awesome! Can't wait to see the Boo to You sign coming down the street once again! I'm praying for a beautiful night weatherwise.

Enjoyed the report and look forward to the next one.

So sad to come to the end of your TR :(. Your trips are always so much fun to read about! Thank goodness you are going back in 22 days!

I had thought about doing the Princess Diana museum when we there this past weekend, but wasn't able to find the time. I wonder how much admission into is.

The Mickey grilled cheeses at WPE are adorable -- I always hear such rave reviews of the place that we should try it next summer.

You are going to love both MNSSHP and the Food and Wine Festival -- Charles and I had a great time at Food and Wine so if you get a chance come over and see my TR when I get it up and running -- I took a LOT of food and drink pictures!

You will also love the weather -- it was still 90 during the day for us, but it was a dry heat and in the evenings it was just gorgeous! I wish we had more time off in the fall because that's when I would like to travel to Disney.

I remember looking at the sign (for kicks) and it was $15 for adults...but the child's price slips my mind.

Do you have a mac? :rotfl2:J/K - That looks like code - maybe something changed in the settings, where it is using "html code" or something like that instead of the regular mode - not sure what these things are called, just experienced a little of it when setting up by blog.

actually if you look closely, it looks like it is bleeping out T's, C's, and vowels. :confused3

Here I am commenting on other stuff when what I SHOULD be saying is...

GREAT JOB LESLEY (AND TIM)!! It was a great read and I'm very excited for the next one which is not far away! I can't remember if you said you were doing a short pre-trip report? ;)

Another great trip report. Hope you have a great trip in October. Just got back yesterday. The Fall and Halloween decorations are beatiful in the Magic Kingdom. I really enjoyed the Food and Wine Festival getting to taste and drink thru the countries.

Just a tip - I had read you could buy $20 passport to try 6 wines from the Festival. I inquired about the passport and was told that they weren't offering the wine passport this year but that there was a beer tasting. You can try 4 beers for about $12. There are 8 beers in total. Not sure if you or Tim are beer drinkers. You can also buy any of the beers you taste. I think a 22oz beer in a plastic souvenir mug was $11.99. There are still plenty of wines to try at the different booths.

I had a great time reading about your amazing 18 days trip to Disney. Thanks for sharing it with us and I can't wait to read about your up and coming trip, especially seeing pictures of Bay Lake Tower.

How is work going? Things a little calmer?

Just wanted to say I really really enjoyed reading your TR, and it was truly an amazing trip for you all, and I am sure one you won't forget in all the many trips to come. We went for a mini fall trip as well, the end of September, and all I can say is that the MNSSHP was amazing (new for us) and the F & W which is the only time I have ever been prior to this summer, was FABULOUS as always... SAVE those snack credits if you are doing the dining plan.. remember my obsession with the Lobster Rolls? DEFINITELY save credits for lobster rolls :) Can't wait to hear all about it -- you leave in a little over a week, right??!! :)

I will definitely be on board! Oct seems like such a terrific
time to visit. :confused3 Was I wrong?? I thought this trip
was to be for you and tim without kiddos??
You weren't wrong, originally it was supposed to be, but I had major mothers guilt and figured my kids will only be young once and doing MNSSHP together will be AWESOME. We are going to put them in Kids Club one night and go to Food and wine ALONE, so that was our consolation ; )
A wonderful trip report, Tim and Lesley!!!!:thumbsup2 Can't wait for the next one!
Thanks, glad you enjoyed it!

oh, by the way, I TOTALLY enjoyed the 18 day ride!
Couldn't live without the great disney "fixes" your TR'S
provide!!:)
Thanks, glad you enjoyed it, more to come soon so you're in luck : )
So sad to see this end, but am glad you have another trip in 22 days

Looks like your last day was perfect

Lauren is so sweet and am glad Luke was happy leaving this time

:wizard:
Glad you enjoyed it, yes, the last day was nice.

Lesley, Looks like your last 2 days were great - even if you were a little wet! I want to try Narcosee's next trip - looks really good! That story about the Teddy Bear lady is so sad. I love how Lauren was kind to the little girl on the bus, it shows she is being raised well!

I'm excited for you to be going on your trip again in 22 days! I can't wait to see how you like BLT. I thought it looked so much like Austin Powers would be there that I wouldn't ever want to stay there, but I've seen some pics lately, and it looks kind of cool!:thumbsup2 What a location!
Glad you enjoyed it. I recommend Narcosee's, we're so glad we tried it. Yes, Lauren is a sweetheart, she loves all of my special needs students at school and she has I have an aunt with Down syndrome so she is a very excepting little girl. I will take lots of BLT pics, can't wait!!!
Lesley

Great ending to a great report, Leslie! That is a long time to stay in Disney - do you plan a long trip like that next year? Have you booked for next year yet? We have our longest trip ever coming up this December (11-27th) and the kids have NO idea. Can't wait to see their reactions when we pull up to the Disney Magic on the 12th. THey are going to EXPLODE!

Have fun planning for MNSSHP. We did the party last week and it was awesome. It was the BEST parade we've ever seen in Disney. Tons of fun all night!

I'll be watching out for your next TR. Thanks again!!!
So glad you enjoyed the report. December should be great, I want to go that time of year sometime. I would love to surprise our kids but don't think I could ever keep the secret. Glad to hear the party will not disappoint, can't wait!!!

Those 22 days will just fly by! I'm leaving in a few short hours but it seems like just yesterday when I was a month away! Have a great time!
They already have, it's right around the corner and I can't wait!!!
Weren't you and Tim originally planning on going without the kiddos? When did you decide to bring them along? Or, am I confused.
Yes we were, see my response above : ) Mothers guilt did me in, we will put them in child care one night to do food and wine alone though : )
GREAT REPORT!!! I loved reliving the trip through your TR! We had an amazing trip this past summer too and are THRILLED to have DVC! I can't believe your trip is just 3 short weeks away! Ours is 4 weeks from tomorrow and I cannot wait! It was so WONDERFUL meeting you guys and spending so much time together! The boys ask on a daily basis when they can see Luke and Lauren again! Have an AMAZING trip and be sure to give me some pointers when you get back about MNSSHP and food and wine!

Diane:goodvibes
Hey Diane !!! I can't believe we're getting so close! Luke and Lauren, Tim and I miss you and your whole family too. I will give you some pointers ; )

Great ending! Lucky you...going back so soon!
So glad you enjoyed it, thanks for reading/posting!

Oh my goodness Lesley!!!! I can't believe that is it finished!
wait to start reading all about that one!!!
I have sooo enjoyed reading your trippies and I can't wait to read the next one!

You lucky lucky things! I hope you have another amazing time and can't

Take care

Love
Carreen
xxxx
Hi Carreen, so glad you enjoyed it, thanks for reading/posting.

I hope you have a great trip. We will get there the day after you leave. I can't wait.
Hope you have a great time too!

I hate it when your TRs end!!!!!!!!!!!:sad1: But I am very much looking forward to the next one!:woohoo: I can't believe that we are going to miss you by 1 week! We are heading out on November 6th. I know you are so excited to go in the fall. The weather is so nice this time of year.:cloud9:

We are flying this year and I am getting really nervous about it. We are flying on Soutwest also. None of us have ever flown before. DD and DH are very excited but I am terrified.:scared1: Got any tips to get through it? I was not happy reading about your ear problems either. I already have constant ear problems from allergies and repeated ear infections. I sure hope mine don't act up.

Are you guys going to see Toy Story 3D this weekend?
Don't worry, another TR is RIGHT around the corner. I can't wait to experience the fall weather at Disney. As for flying Tim is scared but I am good. I recommend taking a dramamine so you are a little "sleepy" or a glass of wine perhaps?? We got Earplanes to help with ear pressure and it helped Luke, they sell them in the airport gift shops. We want to see Toy Story but right now the kids are sick so we'll have to wait!

Great ending to your TR! I've so enjoyed reading it and can't wait to follow along on your next adventure! Your so lucky to be going back!!!!

Tip for the head cold thing for the flights home, I always keep a decongestant inhaler with me on my carry on for just such emergenices. It certainly helps with the head pain!
Thanks for reading along, glad you enjoyed it! I have been told by many to bring along sudafed, thanks for the tip, I will DEFINITELY do that next time!!!
Lesley, this was such an awesome TR and I can't wait to hear about your trip in October - it sounds like so much fun!

Take care and have a great weekend!
Katie
Hi Katie, so glad you enjoyed it!

Thanks for sharing your adventures again. Was just thinking of how huge your home must have felt when you got home.. I always feel that way after staying in a hotel for a week, the whole family all together in a cozy room. I'm sure after 18 days you really felt that way.:rotfl:
So excited  about your Oct. trip. You are going to love, love, love the cooler temps of Oct. The costumes sound cool, can't wait to follow along.:yay:
You are qujite welcome, glad you enjoyed it. Yes, it sure did seem large when we got home : ) Can't wait to experience Disney in the 70's !!!

It's almost like your siggie is in another language!

Just wanted to say that I loved the trip report! Your next trip is almost here and I can't wait to read about your not so scary adventures with Mickey and food and wine!
So glad you enjoyed it! We can't wait for MNSSHP!!!
So sad that the trip has come to an end. I enjoyed it so much. I feel like I just came to the end of a really good book. You know, the ones where you really grow to love the characters and you don't want the book to end. Thank goodness there's another trip just around the corner or I don't know what I'd do.

Thanks for filling me in on the Teddy Bear Lady. I'm pretty sure when we saw her that her husband was still alive. I just seem to remember her being with someone. And she didn't seem sad, just a little eccentric. I might have said this already, but she gave both the girls a teddy bear. It was probably about four years ago. I'll have to see if I took pictures.

Well, your fall trip will be here before you know it. Enjoy all those new things you're going to experience. I so wish that we could figure out a way to go in the fall. I'm like you, I want to enjoy it without the summer heat and do some things that we've never done before like the F&W Festival and MNSSHP. Can't wait to hear all about it!
Hi Alice, glad you enjoyed it. I remember you saying that about the Teddy bear lady. I am using all 3 of my personal days to pull it off, can't wait to see Disney in the falll and experience Food and Wine and MNSSHP AND Bay Lake Tower!!!

Whoo hoo! Another trippie coming up! You will have to report on the F&W so I know what's good!
So glad you enjoyed it, I will definitely report in detail : )

What a truely wonderful Disney vacation your family had. I enjoyed reading your TR so much. Every night I would check for an update! I am trying to talk DH into looking into DVC, it seems so nice!!

You guys will absolutely LOVE MNSSHP!! Seriously it was the BEST parade that I have ever seen at WDW! Enjoy!! I look forward to the next TR!!
So glad you enjoyed it, thanks for reading/posting. DVC is AWESOME, if you need a great guide I can hook you up so PM me. Can't wait to experience it!!!
:angel:What an angel! You know that is a direct reflection on you and Tim. Great parents set great examples for their little ones! Good for you!

Thanks again for the ride. And a SPECIAL thanks for including Ty and Shae in your LOOONNGGG adventures at Disney. I will be anxiously awaiting your next report.

Heck.. you'll probably finish your NEXT report before I finish my dang Spring Break one...sheesh:sad2:
Thanks Sooze, you are too sweet! So glad you enjoyed it, thanks for entrusting your kids with us! I'm enjoying your Spring Break one : )
ps. What happened to the links in your signature?:confused3 They are all sorts of crazy!
I DON'T KNOW!!! So frustrating!!!

Great report Lesley! I enjoyed reading every minute of it.

I will be inthe world in 14 days !!!!I am attending a conference but going a bit early to "play" a bit. Maybe we will bump into each other at F & W.
I am looking forward to your report and the BLT!!!
Pat
If you see us say hello! Hope you have a great time!
Looks like you had so much fun on your last day. Sorry your travel home was so rough with the ear pain. Thank you so much for sharing your fun filled trip with all of us.
You will love MNSSHP, Food and Wine and definitely the cooler temps in October. I could not believe how oppressive the heat was when I was there the end of September. I did enjoy staying at WL, what a beautiful resort, I know how much your family loves it there too.
Not sure what is up with your signature:confused3
We really did have a great time, glad you enjoyed reading about it. Can't wait to experience it all! WL is wonderful isn't it!?!

Do you have a mac? :rotfl2:J/K - That looks like code - maybe something changed in the settings, where it is using "html code" or something like that instead of the regular mode - not sure what these things are called, just experienced a little of it when setting up by blog.
Nope, no Mac, it's CRAZY!
Great trip report as always. When I can't be in disney I just live vicariously through you guys! I can't wait to hear about BLT and your October Adventure. We want to stay there next year but I can't imagine liking anywhere as much as AKL. I look forward to your comparisons. Have fun preparing for this trip and we all await your next report.
So glad you enjoyed it, I'll take lots of BLT pics so stay tuned!

How sweet. Lauren seems like such a loving little girl. I'm sorry about yours and Luke's ears. That is horrible!! But it sounds like you all had a great last day.

What an amazing Trip Report! I've loved reading along and hearing all about your family's fantastic vacation!! Thank you so much for sharing :goodvibes I'm excited to hear about your trip that's coming up--are you going to write a PTR for that one? Have fun!
Thanks for your Lauren compliments, I sure do love her : ) Yeah, our ears were a nightmare. So glad you enjoyed the TR, more to come for our Oct. trip, I'll jus tpost stuff here and do a new TR when we return and put a link here!
I was wondering the same thing about your siggie! I thought it was just me!
I loved seeing Lauren and her little tan! That's a sign of a true vacation! :thumbsup2 Hopefully when you go this time, Tim won't have to use the ECV.
Looking forward to hearing about the Food and Wine festivities!!!!
Yeah, Lauren tans really easily. Can't wait for Food and Wine!!!

Thanks so much for your Lauren compliments. Have fun on your girls trip, sounds fun, I'm looking forward to it too! Thanks for reading/posting

So sad to come to the end of your TR :(. Your trips are always so much fun to read about! Thank goodness you are going back in 22 days!

I had thought about doing the Princess Diana museum when we there this past weekend, but wasn't able to find the time. I wonder how much admission into is.

Here I am commenting on other stuff when what I SHOULD be saying is...

Thank you! So glad you enjoyed it! I will do a VERY short PTR, in this thread actually, won't start another one until the actual TR this time ; )

Whats the latest on your upcoming halloween visit
to the Happy Place??:dance3:
Update coming tonight : )

Loved every bit of your report - looking forward to the next one!!!

Thanks so much!
I had a great time reading about your amazing 18 days trip to Disney. Thanks for sharing it with us and I can't wait to read about your up and coming trip, especially seeing pictures of Bay Lake Tower.

How is work going? Things a little calmer?
Thanks for asking, a LITTLE calmer but to be honest, not much, it's just going to be a CRAZY CRAZY year, I'm just hanging in and doing what I can day by day and looking forward to my evenings and weekends. I love my students, don't get me wrong it's just a VERY tough job and it's going to be a LONG year : )
Just wanted to say I really really enjoyed reading your TR, and it was truly an amazing trip for you all, and I am sure one you won't forget in all the many trips to come. We went for a mini fall trip as well, the end of September, and all I can say is that the MNSSHP was amazing (new for us) and the F & W which is the only time I have ever been prior to this summer, was FABULOUS as always... DEFINITELY save credits for lobster rolls :) Can't wait to hear all about it -- you leave in a little over a week, right??!! :)
So glad you enjoyed it. MNSSHP sounds great so I can't WAIT!!! I will save the Snack credits, ohhhhh you can use them on the lobster rolls? Those are supposed to be good!!! Can't wait!!!

Loved your trip report!! I read the whole thing. Your kids are adorable!!
So glad you enjoyed it, thank you for the nice comment : )
Lesley

So everyone keeps asking if I'm doing a Pre Trip Report for our October Trip, no, sorry guys, I'm not. I figure that you guys all know us by now, but I WILL do a detailed trip report and will post the link on this thread when we return.

So............. GUESS WHAT CAME IN THE MAIL TODAY!?!?! Our Magical Express Vouchers!!!!!!:cool1:
I was worried this week when I realized we hadn't gotten them yet and we leave NEXT FRIDAY!!!! So I called DVC member services and turns out with my craziness of the school year I never called to give them our flight info so they were never mailed. Gotta love Disney though because they overnighted them to us and we got them today!:thumbsup2
So the countdown is on.... NINE DAYS UNTIL DISNEY!!!!!!:dance3::cheer2::yay:
Please send prayers our way though because we are in the HEIGHT of flu season, seems that it is ALL around us. Lauren had a high fever that lasted several days last week and Luke was home sick with a high fever today and will miss tomorrow again for sure. I had 4 out of my 8 students out yesterday with the flu. The attendance at our school is CRAZY low due to the flu and viruses going around, seems every family I know has at least one member sick, it's crazy!!!! So I'm praying that the kids get this and that is ALL they get until we leave and that Tim and I stay healthy.
So.... in 9 days we'll be checking into BayLake Tower and I can't WAIT!!!!! The forecast right now looks INCREDIBLE with high's in the upper 70's while we are there. I can't wait to experience Disney in the fall.
I feel unprepared for this trip but that should be part of the fun. We all need the getaway and I just am so excited I can not even express it here! So stay tuned for a detailed trip report when we return with lots of Bay Lake Tower pics, Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party pics, and Food and Wine pics, SOOOOOOOOOOOOOO EXCITED! (did I mention I was excited???)
If any of you have been to food and wine this year and have tips or must try's for us please share them here for us and stay tuned, I'll post before we leave and post when we get back, another Timandlesley trip report is coming your way soon! (see.... you didn't even have time to miss us : )
Lesley

AWESOME!!! Hope this trip is wonderful!!
I'm glad the kiddos are tagging along, they
are only young once and most of the magic
you see is through their lit'l eyes!!!!
I look forward to reading all about your Disney
Halloween experience!!!! .....should be cooler
weather!!!:goodvibes

I am so sorry to hear that your babies are sick. My baby just had that same high fever stuff last weekend and now is dealing with the ragweed allergies. I sure hope you are all well before you leave. I'll say a prayer for good health for the timandlesley crew and you do the same for the rinkytinkytinky crew!:lmao: I've been worried about being sick when it's our turn to head out as well. That would be awful to be sick on vacation. We did get our regular flu shots today (not swine flu though). Maybe you guys should go get one before you leave. They didn't hurt at all. Even my DD who is only 5 said that getting the shot was better than being sick on vacation! I was impressed. I hope the weather stays nice for you guys too! Have a wonderful time!:wizard:

Lesley you will love the Fall weather. I swear you can get so much more done because it is so much cooler than the summer. Can't wait to hear all about it when you get back!

So glad you enjoyed the TR. Yes, you should try WPE : ) I am so glad you enjoyed the festival, any tips before we go?? Any favorites we must try? Our forecast has high's in the upper 70's sure hope it stays that way!

Hmmm, let's see -- Charles and I split everything that we ate at the kiosks so we would have room for more -- we loved, loved, loved the cheddar cheese soup and maple-glazed salmon at the Canadian kiosk; the Fisherman's Pie at the Irish kiosk; the crab cake and lobster roll at the Hops and Barley stand; the Praline Bread Pudding at the New Orleans stand.

In the way of drinks, our absolute favorite was the Dragon Berry Colada at the Puerto Rico stand (we had several of those over the course of our visit) and the Parisian Cosmo Slush (Grey Goose, Cointreau, and cranberry juice) from the Paris stand. So good!

I can't believe you are nine days away from a stay at Bay Lake Towers -- so exciting! Sending prayers and pixie dust your way that everyone stays healthy! :goodvibes

Sending good thoughts you were way that kids are better fast and that you and Tim stay healthy

Hope you all have an awesome vacation!!!
