Loving the update!!! Lauren looked adorable!!! I am taking my DS to Pirate League the night we go to MNSSHP and am so excited for that! Glad you enjoyed 1900 Park Fare... we have dinner ressies there in Sept. and have been nervous b/c I have been hearing bad things lately. Sorry about Tim's knee...I can't imagine being in Disney with that much pain. Luke's shirt is AWESOME! And Lauren was a beautiful princess! Your family just looks like you have a blast together.

I'm sorry Coral Reef was so horrible. Do you think it was just the server? Or the whole restaurant? I'm asking because we're supposed to eat there in September...

I just realized, that I never commented! Lauren looked GORGEOUS!!! I remember you telling me about the unicorn thing...too funny! The picture of the kids at Park Fare is so CUTE! Ok, I am not as blessed in the writing department as my wife, but I have what she doesn’t…..100 lbs of Disney Dining Plan under my belt. So, on that disturbing note……let’s go!

Les and Lauren where off to the Magic Kingdom for Lauren’s big day at the BBB, so Luke and I took this opportunity to have some guy time and do Disney our way. After the girls left we got changed and where at the bus stop. To our surprise our bus was completely EMPTY…..and 40 degrees below zero, but EMPTY.

Here is Luke enjoying our private ride on the Disney Party Bus.

On the way there we could see that things outside were kind of shady weather wise, but we still were optimistic until we got off the bus and headed to the gates. We saw this and both of our mouths dropped and Luke said “Dad we are so screwed, we should have brought the ponchos like mom said.”

I told him we were fine and don’t always worry about what mom says, dad has it under control. Earlier in the trip on the day we had arrived, Dianne had given us RRC Fast Passes and they were unused. We also had Star Tours Fast Passes from a few days before and they were unused. So after we went through the gates, I took a quick detour over to Guest Relations. I turned on my charm, my sex appeal, freshened my breath, and sucked in my gut to impress the ladies inside, but I got a dude so that was out the window. I explained my situation about our unused FP’s and how I had hurt me knee and wasn’t able to get around…..long story short he wrote me FP’s for RRC and ST for Luke and I for that day only!! SCORE!!!!

With that Luke and I were off to ride the RRC, but the weather had quickly changed and it was starting to pour down rain. At this point we were in no man’s land and our only choice was to run to RRC and seek shelter. Luke didn’t miss a beat, he yelled “run you cripple, run!” So I gimped it as fast as I could, while thinking……we should have brought those DARN ponchos!!!
After a short wait in line, we were next to ride in the front of RRC.

As always, Luke was hungry and begging for a snack, so I obliged and we scored some popcorn. Here is a wet Luke enjoying his POPalicious snack.

We were walking over to the Stunt Car Motor Show and saw that the Backlot Tour only had a 5 minute wait, so we decided to head on in and avoid the rain.

A side note, the Back Lot Tour is now just a recording of the guy who used to sit in the front of the tram. I always liked having the live guy there to ask questions to and to get a little color commentary from, instead of just the script. I guess this just another one of Disney’s cut backs………

As we walked out of the gift shop, my mind was on lunch, but Luke saw something else. He pointed to the sign for character meetings with Monsters Inc. and he really wanted to check this out. We waited in a semi long line and Luke had his turn.

Now it was lunch time, so we quickly ducked in line at the Backlot Express. This place is not horrible, but it is not great either.

After lunch, we decided to head over to Star Tours to use our FP’s. We braved the rain and before we knew it we were making our way through the queue: (sorry for the blurry pictures)

As we were walking out through the gift shop, my leg was killing me and I knew it was time to head out and catch a bus back to SSR and rest. Luke and I had a great time laughing, eating, riding rides together and just being silly. I always cherish these times with my mini me and hope that he’ll still think that I’m funny when he is a teenager.
