Hello dear! I just read your quest and it's SO cute. Good for you. I wanted to let you know that there are some animated movie's that missing from your list, notably Pete's Dragon. (Figment's cousin maybe?) I found a complete list here:

but to be honest, I love the live-action movies. Like the Swiss family Roberstons, Apple Dumpling Gang and the Three Musketeers. Maybe a quest to take on in the first year of marriage?

As far as where to get them, do you have a blockbuster or netflix account? If not, consider asking for it as a wedding gift. I think a one year membership is like $200.

Yeah, I was thinking about keeping the quest going and watching just as many Disney movies as possible, not just the animated ones! Thanks for the complete list, I knew there were definitely a few we were missing. I suggested the idea to DF about watching more Disney movies and he said, "Okay, but can we take a little break first?" I think he is getting a bit overwhelmed with Disney

Thank you! I just love the idea of blue roses, partly because it is so unique. I'm a big theater person and my favorite play, The Glass Menagerie, makes reference to them. If you haven't seen it or read it, the girl's nickname is Blue Roses. It's really sweet

We are now just one month away from the wedding! So unbelievable! I am sooo excited, but stressed about so many stupid little things.

Photography Location

We finally found a place to have our pictures in between the ceremony and the reception. It's an arboretum about ten minutes from the church, very beautiful little spot. Also, the first time Jason visited me at my home, outside of college, we spent an afternoon here so it has some meaning as well. My dad and I went back to look at it and I took some pictures of places that might be good for photos:

I'm just keeping my fingers crossed that it doesn't pour rain that day. If it does, I guess the only option is to take pictures inside the church. Does anyone have any suggestions on indoor places to take pictures? I can't really think of anything else.

Mom's Dress

My mom absolutely hates dress shopping, but she finally got a dress! She's not 100% sure she wants to wear it though, so she wants to go look at more with me this weekend. But if she doesn't find anything better, here is what she is wearing:

Oohhh I looove the arboretum! So pretty and lush. As for inside places, the only thing I could think of--- are there any historic houses in your area? Sometimes if you beg, they might let you take pictures inside.

Well, let me just say that I love love love everything you've done with them. I may have to steal the idea for my at home reception. The arboretum is gorgeous, and your pics will be fabulous! It reminds me of home (mountains of NC), and I'm now just a little homesick! (we just moved to Daytona Beach for FH's new job). I love your mom's dress. The color is so rich and regal, and the style is so pretty on her! My mom actually has a similar dress in black.

Congratulations on your one month!! YAY!! We are a little over our 2 month, and I am starting to get that "hurry, hurry, I'm so excited...but wait, hold on, there's still so much to do" feeling. Yeah, I was trying to think of some places like that... there are some but we've only got about two hours between ceremony and reception and the sites are half an hour apart to begin with, so there's nothing that's really "on the way" or close enough to go to. I think the inside of the church is pretty enough in a worst case scenario. Thanks for the suggestions though!

And yes, less than 1 month now for the wedding and Disney! Every time I get stressed about the wedding Jason just tells me to think that Disney is one day after it

Feel free to steal some ideas for your at home reception! I would love to see other people do creative stuff like this and see what they come up with. I also might try and sell some stuff after the wedding so maybe you could reuse some of my stuff if you wanted

Hair Trial

The other day I went to get my hair trial done. The woman who is doing my hair for the wedding has been my hairdresser since I was about three years old - we know her from church and she's an old family friend. She was even my mentor when I went through confirmation, so we're pretty close! Anyway, I told her what I wanted to do - something simple, half up and half down, and she immediately says, "Oh, like Belle from Beauty and the Beast!" So basically, this was my "inspiration"!

So she fooled around with a few different things, but in the end it was pretty straight forward and here is my wedding day look:

I'm only going to have the veil on for the ceremony, and then take it off for most of the pictures and the reception. Here are a few other shots from other angles and what not:

Have you ever seen those Bumpits for your hair? Amazon has them.

They add a nice 'bump' in your hair that your tiara would surround perfectly. They come in a few different sizes & colors.

The curls in your hair are really lovely.
