Becky and Jeff- 2/8/10 BW Croquet Lawn/LSS/UK Lochside- TR- Update 8/8 dessert party

The chips turned out great! I love the coloring on the edges. Can't wait to see how things come with the bolero jacket. I had a small cape made for my wedding too because I was worried I would be cold at the DP.

Alrighty, so I'm behind obviously... so allow me to comment on some things I've missed!:

Honeymoon sounds like lots of fun. :cutie: Your dress is looking beautiful, and beautiful on you! Your invites are adorable. The necklace you chose is going to be perfect! Cake sounds so tasty and the poker chips are cute! :goodvibes Phew! Hehe.

Always looking forward to hearing more, Becky! Your wedding is going to be so cool.

Becky, I love the poker chips! How cute

Thanks! I'm going to have to see how it goes with the bolero, my mom just e-mailed and asked if I could order one from etsy. I'm going to talk to her about it today.

Updates

Last week Jeff's brother and dad were down visiting. They were supposed to figure out what all the guys are wearing, but instead they just went to the parks everyday! So in the end what was decided is that Jeff already knows what he wants and is going to buy it soon. His brothers are going to buy dark gray suits. I most likely will pick out and buy them ties since neither of them wear any and his older brothers ideas were starting to scare me lol. His younger brother claims he is going to wear a monocle and top hat, which once it was explained that it was to look like the Monopoly man and not Mr. Peanut, I kinda like the idea, since we are getting married at the Boardwalk. So we shall see how they end up looking. We decided since Jeff doesn't get to see my dress, I wont get to see his suit.

So I also decided to finally design my own shirt at the Design-A-Tee shop at DTD. So I figured while we are getting our super awesome Christmas discount I would get a shirt for the wedding and/or honeymoon.
I had a few issues with the shirt but I'm really happy with it now. The original shirt was the wrong size and the picture was really faint. The new one is just perfect!

I also decided to go to Michael's yesterday and buy our bubbles. Now while Jeff's dad was here he bought himself a bubble gun, but I really didn't think spending $5 a person was worth it for bubbles. I used a 40% off coupon and of course today's paper had a 50% off coupon! oh well. I have some ribbon that I got at Michael's awhile ago that I am going to tie on the ends of the bubbles.

So my mom was supposed to come down Saturday to visit but a HUGE snowstorm hit and her flight was canceled :sad1:
She wasn't able to reschedule until today. so now we basically only have one day. However on that one day we are going to pick up my dress! :yay: So later on this week I should have some dress updates!

Those shirts are awesome, I love the Mickey and Minnie.

The shirt is too cute. I'm definitely going to have out that store for shirts.

Thanks ladies! It was so fun to make a shirt, I can't believe I hadn't made one sooner. I might have to go make more :rotfl:

Update

So I picked up my dress last week. I didn't get any pics in it, but here is a pic I took after I put on the brooch I bought:

We got some really good finds out shopping this weekend!
Saturday we went to World Market and I got a bunch of hot cocoa packets and some chocolate crayons for the welcome bags on super sale.

I got the s'mores for the welcome bags and a gingerbread one for myself

I also got a few things to give to my MOHs.

Sunday though we really knocked a few things out of the park. We got Jeff a tux jacket and pants as well as a tie for $100 at JC Penney! We also went to all the mall jewelry stores and ended up buying the very first ring that Jeff tried on! It has to be ordered in his size and she put down to have it in by January 31st.

This is similar to his ring:

I was thinking about you while I was at work today, strange I know. But I was like wow, I haven't checked in with everyone in FOREVER and her and Sam should be getting close to their big day. You must be super excited! I remember 30 days out, it's going to FLY by now! Enjoy it all. The poker chips are super cute by the way! And I love the tshirt, it's perfect for you! Oh, and your brooch on your dress is a gorgeous touch, love it!

Stacey! Aw thanks for thinking of me. Sam and I have been talking and commiserating lol. I know the 30 days are really going to fly!

Updates

I think the biggest update I have is that we have completely changed our honeymoon plans! We got a great deal on the Transatlantic cruise in April, so we will be repositioning the Magic over in Barcelona on a 14-night journey! We are so excited! It will also be Jeff's 29th birthday on the 2nd full day at sea. Tomorrow booking opens for Palo and shore excursions so we are going to see what fun stuff we can grab!

Tomorrow we are finally going to have our engagement pics taken, in the freezing cold at Port Orleans. Literally it is supposed to be 32 degrees. We are going shopping today for various hats and scarves to change our 'look' during the photoshoot lol.

Final Payment was due yesterday and I think things are moving along fairly well. It's a bit stressful, but that's a wedding for you!

Now for some pics of the goodies I have gotten recently!

I went to JoAnn's Fabric last Saturday and I apparently hit the jackpot. I got a bunch of useful stuff and only paid $12, I'm not really sure how!

First I found these boxes to put the poker chips in. They were supposedly on sale for 9.99 from 19.99, but they rang up $4.98

I thought they were really cute and I plan to print a picture of us on the front and put some confetti inside with the poker chip. I need to buy more printer ink though!

Then I decided to get some bags to use as welcome bags. I am going to print out our monogram and stick it on the outside. I also picked up some more pin lanyards and I put the chocolate crayons I got the other day in the picture as well as some wipes from CVS that I have a ton of because they were free a couple months ago. I also got some Moravian cookies on clearance for my mom and her college roommate because they went to Moravian College.

Here are the bags I got for my MOHs and some of the stuff I got to go in them. I found some manicure kits 75% off at Bath and Body Works the day after Christmas and some snowmen bath bomb things at World Market. I also got Krystin some pumpkin scented stuff and I know there is something else I got Erin but I can't remember what. I also got them both gray pashminas to wear during the ceremony because it is freaking COLD here right now! I really hope it warms up!

And lastly I found some clearanced green cardstock to use for programs. It was the perfect shade of green!

Hey Becky, wow - your updates look great and what a great honeymoon trip that will be.

Sheldon and I will be arriving in Orlando Friday early afternoon (hopefully). We are taking the autotrain down on Thursday and we should arrive Friday morning in Sanford - wait for the car to get off the train - and then drive to Orlando. We will be spending Friday night at Sheldon's dad house and then checking into the POP Saturday morning. We would love to get together with you guys Friday afternoon. Let us know your plans as it gets closer. Sheldon's dad birthday is Saturday so we might try to take him out to dinner Friday night. He like Buca de Beppo (not sure of the spelling) so we might go there but would love to see you guys Friday afternoon.

Linda

Ohh that cruise sounds so nice. You guys will have so much fun!

What a great deal on those boxes! They look so cute too!

Your welcome bags look great!

And I just wanted you to know that I'm so prepared for the cold after making those blankets and hand warmers and I just bought gloves at the dollar store. So....with my luck it should start warming up for you in the next week or so :rotfl::rotfl:

I took the autotrain both times I moved down here, it is awesome. We've eaten at Buca de Bepo once, It was sooo much food! They have $10 of $20 coupons in the paper all the time which make me want to go back.
