Becky and Jeff- 2/8/10 BW Croquet Lawn/LSS/UK Lochside- TR- Update 8/8 dessert party

Hey Becky!

That dress looks gorgeous on you! I really like it! I love the invites. Very cute! I can't believe you're under the 100 day mark! Trust me, it flies by after that! It's going to be here before you know it!!! I'm so excited for you!!!:woohoo:

We added pretzel bread to our menu too!!! Of course, I didnt even eat any of it at our reception :headache:
(My stomach wasnt doing so good that day, so i barely ate anything - too bad because our food looked awesome! ) But I made sure I got some on our honeymoon!

Aww that's too bad that you didn't feel like eating :sad1: but I'm glad you got some later on in the trip.

MMMMM I love Pretzel Bread!!! You made me crave some now too!!

soo yum I had it twice last night at Epcot lol They have a super awesome big piece of it you can get for 2.50 at the beer stand at Food and Wine this year. All that beer and all I ordered was pretzel bread :lmao:

nice pictures

best wishes !!

Thanks!

Thanks Stacey! I can't believe we are in double digits either!

yummy yummy pretzel bread...didn't realize that was an option! Good to know.

Our friends requested it at their wedding. it was the only food we knew for sure we were going to have before we showed up at their reception lol

In other news... we got our first RSVP! It was from Jeff's parents, but still super awesome!

AWWW yay your first rsvp!!

Congrats on your first RSVP. Just wait until the "surprise" ones start coming in :thumbsup2

Thanks ladies! We've gotten one more RSVP, which would have been a surprise but I was already told by the person when I asked for their address that they had taken the time off from work so I had my surprise moment then lol

Updates

We went bought our 'guestbook' the other day It's a large vinylmation for everyone to sign.

Like this one, only not character signatures lol (and hopefully with better pens that don't wear off :upsidedow

I also just ordered our poker chip favors using our monogram:

monogram-1.jpg

They are supposed to send me a proof of the final poker chip once they have it done.

I'm currently polling my facebook friends as to whether we should stay at the Yacht or Beach Club for our complimentary night. So far Yacht Club is winning, any thoughts?

First off, what a creative idea about the vinylmation for the guests to sign. I wonder if you could use one of the pens like they have for the guest signature vases and/or plates. I'm not sure the specific type that they use for those though

The poker chip design turned out great! How many chips are you doing per guest?

My vote would be for beach club because I like the decor better. I also like the pool (although I know its right between both of them) and I love beaches and cream :goodvibes Although, if you're going for better food Yachtsman wins hands down!

Congrats on your first RSVP's coming, how exciting! I love that Mickey guestbook, what a great idea! Could you use Sharpies? They come in all different colors now and are supposedly permanent. The poker chip looks awesome, I love your monogram!

Hmm, YC vs. BC, is a tough one. I vote for YC because you'll definitely have a balcony and it'll be quieter, even though I like the new rooms at BC better. If you go to the Yachtsman, be sure to ask for Ricardo. He is the most awesome server! DF wants to see if we can get him to be a server at the Wedding but I'm pretty sure they don't do that. So we'll just have to visit him sometime while we're there.

The vinylmation guest book is awesome. I wonder if a paint pen would work better than a regular sharpie on that surface?

I vote for the Yacht Club too. I love the Beach club, but it's always much busier than the Yacht Club. The Yacht Club also has that richer more romantic feel.

We are just going to do one poker chip per guest. I ordered the minimum of 50 so we will have a few extras.

My friends on facebook voted for the room closest to Beaches and Cream lol

My MOH refuses to eat at Yachtsman again because when we went for my birthday a few years ago she got food poisoning afterwards :-(

Thanks! I was thinking about sharpies but it kinda looks like that's what they used on the one above, maybe not. I will have to see.

I did not know about the balconies, good to know! I also did not know that the rooms are newer at Beach Club hmmm tough choice. However it is just for the one night after the wedding. The next time I go to Yachstman I will definitely have to look up Ricardo!

OOooo those paint pens look awesome! I had never heard of them! I wish I had time to swing by the Festival of the Masters this weekend as they will have both vinylmations and sharpies there and I could probably find my answer!
Alas I will be visiting the fine state of Wisconsin instead :cool1:

I lurve paint pens, they write on anything ..... and they write shiny... what could be better! When I worked at the Children's museum, we would use them to write on the plastic food to code it. I would think that would have a similar surface to the vinylmations.

And an early welcome to my lovely state. :yay: :yay:

I totally get wanting to be closer to Beaches and Cream! I look forward to finally trying it in March! :woohoo: Yeah, I don't know why they didn't make all the rooms with balconies at the Beach Club but some are standing room only, I've also heard there were some really odd shaped small rooms that only had double beds in them, but I think those were just switched out for Queens recently. Both resorts have new rooms, but I like the rehab at BC better. The YC new rooms don't look all that different and after seeing the new rooms at BWI and BC, I kinda expected more...but DF has always wanted to stay there, so that's where we'll be for our PS. ;) If you go to the resorts thread they have a pretty good BC/YC thread and you can see some of the new rooms. I think there may even be a picture thread. :thumbsup2

I still need to pick up some paint pens, but they are on my list!

We had a blast in Wisconsin! Here are some pics:

Thanks for suggesting the resorts board! I looked through all the pics! After polling a bunch of people and looking at photos we decided to go with the Yacht Club! So excited!

Yay! I think you'll have a great time and it will be better for your wedding trip. BC seems to have a lot of kids around, which is fine, but you probably want someplace a little quieter.

Looks like you guys had a great trip to Wisconsin!

Updates

So the other day I finally got my fascinator that I ordered off of etsy in August. It is a bit larger than I anticipated but that just means more green in my outfit lol. I'm a bit disappointed in the quality of the item as I paid over $50 for it and I kinda feel I could have made it myself and had it turn out just the same, but oh well it's still very nice.

Here are some pics:

not the greatest pic but gives a better idea of scale.

Not much else going on wedding wise.
I'm not sure I ever mentioned the dining reservations I made.
My dad's 60th birthday is on January 21st so since all of his family will be together for the wedding we are all going to go out to eat on the Saturday before the wedding. I made reservations at Kouzzina for 10 people at 5pm. I was fortunate that the CM website for making ADRs didn't crash on the day of the great 90/180 switchover. I only got one error message before I was able to book. I may need to make it for more than 10 people but that is all I could book without calling group dining. I figure they seat large parties first normally anyways so we shouldn't have a problem as 5pm is when they open.

I also made a reservation for tea at the Grand Floridian for 3:45ish on the day before the wedding. We are going to have the rehearsal at noon and then probably do a scavenger hunt around the Boardwalk resorts that our roommate is going to create for us. Then the girls are going to go to tea and the guys can prepare for the Super Bowl lol. Although Jeff loves tea and really wants to go too, so we will see who ends up going.

My next goal is to start thinking about what is going into our welcome bags. I bought a few pin lanyards yesterday that say Celebrate Everyday to give to my cousins because they love pin trading. I'm going to peruse the many lists of items past brides have used and start to make my own. My mom sent me some info on photo bags from Costco so I want to find a photo so I can order those when I am home for Thanksgiving.

I leave you with a cute photo from the Very Merry Christmas Party last Sunday:

That fascinator looks gorgeous on you. It goes with your hair very nicely! Your trip looked like fun! We missed you by two nights at MVMCP, we went on Friday! :goodvibes We had a blast!

the fascinator looks great......i would have loved to do the GF tea...there just wasn't enought time.

Okay, so I've lived here my whole life, and I've never done the JellyBelly or Miller tours! :rotfl: Sounds like you had fun!

Your facinator looks great. Sorry about the quality, that's a bummer, but it does look great, and will be so cute with your hair up! :thumbsup2

And yay for the Yacht Club!

Thanks Stacey! I had a ton of fun at MVMCP it was probably more enjoyable than any of the last few parties I have been too. Too bad we missed each other!

haha one of my friends from my CP lives in Racine and she said she had been to Jelly Belly a few times and would have loved to have gone with us if she didn't have class. The trip whole trip was probably one of our favorites, up there with Disneyland!

Thanks! I'm pretty excited about the fascinator overall.

Updates!

So I took Monday off to get a bunch of stuff done and use up sick time which I never use. While I was home the doorbell rang and after looking through the peephole, seeing nothing, deciding to open the door, seeing nothing, ignoring the doormat pushed off to the side, closing the door, going back in my room, hearing a UPS truck leave the parking lot, opening the door, moving oddly placed doormat, I found a package of wedding favors!

The company had called and asked if we wanted the monogram on both sides for another $10 and we voted no. So I guess since I gave them the artwork they assumed a proof wasn't needed. I totally wasn't expecting them, but was uber excited.

They totally rock!

Also while I was home for Thanksgiving my mom and I went and bought a pattern and some fabric for a bolero jacket and I can't wait to see how it turns out!
