Today I was "working from home" (haven't done much working yet. I stayed home with the girls. We had someone coming to clean this morning, so we went and did some errands. Got some stuff for the trip: Water shoes for the girls Rashguard shirt for DH (for the beach) travel size tubes of sunblock (I want to take these for WDW and then buy a larger one for the beach when we get there and go to a store) Make-up remover cloths - not taking a big tube of cleanser Binder divider pages and pocket pages for my Disney binder! YAY! - more to organize!!
I also ordered a tinted lip balm with SPF from Mary Kay for the trip. I don't plan on much makeup, (it will sweat off anyway) but thought that would be nice instead of just my SPF chapstick.
I've printed out the menus from all of our planned restaurants (and a couple extra). Do you guys print out your confirmations for ADRs? I have all the numbers in a note in my iPhone. I did that last time and didn't even need them. I have our itinerary, park hours/shows/parades schedule, our package vouchers paperwork, ME docs, rental car confirmation and coupons, airline info (will print boarding passes before we leave), list of DDP restaurants, menus and list of WDW phone #s.
What else do you put in the binder? Think I will make some envelopes for mousekeeping too. I just decorate with some Disney stickers and markers.
Going to visit a garage sale up the street for a little walk. It's pretty nice today - not as humid. Thank goodness - I'm camping this weekend and don't want it humid!!
Got the pins from eBay in the mail today!!! Paige claimed one (baby Snow White) already. The rest look good for trading although there are a couple that are tempting to keep. I'll try to get a picture up.
Hurray for trip shopping and your pins arriving! I only have a couple more things to get! As far as what to put in the binder -- I also put in our driving directions and a map of the resort. I do print out our dining confirmations, but you are right -- I have never needed them.
Hooray for shopping! I don't bring a binder, but I bring a small VB notebook. I put all the park hours on the front page and my ADR's w/confirmation #'s on the 2nd page.
For mousekeeping envelopes, go to themouseforless.com. They have free decorated envelopes you can print out. You can even customize them with your last name! I also made envelopes for our servers and themed them to the restaurants.
Hey Sheree!! Wow!! less than 3 weeks...amazing!! It has flown by hasn't it?I know y'all are so excited!!As far as what I bring...I just print out my ADRs from my email conf...also my resort conf....then I write it all down in a little notebook...that I later write notes about my day in. This is what I use for TRs...I have never needed the ADR conf #s either...but sure as shootin'...if I didnt have it, they would need it!
I am curious about your Mary Kay lip balm! I am a lip balm/gloss girl!!! I will have to look that up! Are you feeling better? Mucinex/ibuprofen is what I stay on when it starts for me! Delcym for the cough is unbeatable!!!
just a quick drive-by update:
Camping was good, lots of drama - I'll give more detail later. Super tired!! Still sick, now have an eye infection - probably from my cold and dirty contacts. Grr.
Saw the Orthoped Dr. today - going to do PT for shoulder. Coughing a lot. Working today and ball game tonight so I'll try to get back here later or tomorrow.
Hopefully you are getting all the bugs now and will have a totally illness free vacation. I hope you are feeling better soon!!! Can't wait to hear the stories from the camping trip.
Hey Sheree!!!!
2 WEEKS!!!!!!
How are you feeling? Hopefully you will feel better soon and be all ready for your trip! For that cough and sinus-y stuff, get some Echinachea tablets...then get on Flintstone vitamins. Yes, the kid ones!! They are the best...and I have taken all different kinds...Fstones win hands down!! I know some Ob/Gyns give those as prenatals because your body absorbs these the most.
Hi everyone!! Had a busy couple of days here - but not too busy to say
I'M GOING TO DISNEY WORLD IN TWO WEEKS!!!! OH YEAH! THAT'S 14 DAYS, BABY!!!
Thanks for all the get well wishes. I'm feeling better each day, but this cough is lingering and pesky. DH has a bit of it too, so that's double the fun (she says sarcastically!).
The Guide to the Magic came the other day and I grabbed it from the front door where the mailmain left it and ran it up to the closet in my room so the kids didn't see and say "what's that?" I haven't even had time to open the package yet!! Maybe tonight after they go to bed! In about 10 more minutes they should be asleep!
My DDs are officially owners of some of those silly bands. My mom got some at Hallmark and now I see our grocery store has them too. No Disney ones so far. I think we'll get some at WDW and the girls can bring some back for their friends. Cheap enough gifts and they're pretty small to pack.
So I'm sitting here watching The Lion King! Dave put it in earlier. The kids were outside with friends and then they were watching too for a while. I love this movie! There are so many cool and special things in it. I'm LOL at Timon!
So this weekend, I don't have too many plans. We're going to hopefully see TS3 on Friday afternoon and then go to a Twins game Saturday night. I'm going to spend some time with my packing list and organizing "stuff". The weekend before we leave DD9 has a softball tourney (end of season), so I don't know when we'll be home. Got to start getting ready! Yippee!
Paige has been telling me that a lot of her shorts don't fit anymore! I may have to take her to Target and grab a few pair on clearance! Such great timing, eh?
The heat/humidity here has been Florida-like lately. We have had some pretty nasty storms in MN/WI. I keep going outside to try to get used to the humidity to prepare myself for the trip!
My neighbor, who is a Creative Memories consultant, just gave me a brochure of some new products for scrapbooking. A TON of Disney stuff! It's all so cute! She knows I'm a Disney nut, so she also knows that I will be spending plenty on that stuff! She'll make money on me for sure!
The girls started summer dance classes this week so it's been a lot of running. Sarah had a two hour class on Monday and right after had a softball game! Then she had a makeup game last night. Then today both girls had ballet for an hour and a half! They are tired! Me too.
"They call me MISTER PIG!!" Man, I love this movie! It's been a while since I've seen it, so it's really fun watching again! Okay, better go catch up on all my DIS subscriptions!
