Good Morning friends!!
I have to update you on a few planning items and a special event too!!
First - I am surprising the girls with a new book! Yesterday I ordered the Guide to the Magic for Kids. I had a $5 credit on PayPal, so that helped!
Then today I ordered a lot of 10 trading pins from eBay. The girls said they'd like to trade, and they are collecting Tinkerbell (Sarah) and Princesses (Paige). They each only had a couple extra, so I ordered some for them to trade. We'll leave the rest at home. Those lanyards get too heavy to wear around and I don't want to carry them!
So I was all set to order a VB hipster yesterday. Looked on eBay, and also checked the VB site (SALE!). Decided I could get it just as cheap at the VB site. Was about to purchase. SOLD OUT ON LINE!
Maybe it's a sign.
Question for all you VB lovers - if you have gone when it's hot, and carried a hipster - did you get hot where you "wear" the bag? Like did you sweat under the strap or where the bag rested on your hip? I'd love to go with a mini bag, but knowing I'll need to carry water and ponchos, I think the bigger bag would be a good idea. Going to have to decide soon so I have time to get it!
SPECIAL REPORT: I interrupt this PTR to bring you a special report. Last night my family had the pleasure of enjoying dinner with Northern Disney Girl and her family!!! Kim, Ken, Emily and Natalie were down from Canada on vacation for a few days at the Mall of America! So we had arranged to meet for dinner. My family refers to them as "the Canadians" (It's easier for them to remember than, Kim, or NDG). It was so fun - we had met once before - the girls were like old pals! We ate at Famous Dave's BBQ. The men split a HUGE platter - mostly ate the meat, carnivores that they are!
Then we went down to the amusement park, Nickelodeon Universe and the girls rode a ride together. Sarah and Emily rode Ghost Blasters (no pics) and Paige and Natalie rode Blue's Skidoo. It's a mini Dumbo type ride.
It was sort of funny - before we parted ways, we had to take a few more pics. So Kim and I each took pics of the girls and then handed the cameras to our hubbies and said "take a picture of us moms!"
Here, for your viewing pleasure, are the pictures: I apologize for the quality of the restaurant shots - bad lighting and my inability to figure out good settings on the camera!
Aren't those the four cutest girls you've ever seen???
My girls don't usually look so fancy with the hairdos. My mom was watching them yesterday and she had a cut/color hair appointment. Her stylist asked if the girls wanted to come and while her color was setting, to have them get their hair styled. So they did! They even got sparkle glitter! It is now all over their pillows, since they wanted to sleep with their hair up.
Here's a couple pics of the hairdos:
Paige had an upside down french braid going up the back of her head.
Sarah had more of a twist updo and the top was sort of ratted. Her curled tendrils stayed curled!!
Someone asked for pictures of the fans I got. I found them at Walmart for $4. They were by the pool stuff.
Well, I'm off to pay some bills
eek
and go buy a tent. Yup, a tent. Sarah and I have camping for Girl Scouts next weekend and our troop needs another tent. On sale at Target for $50 it will be worth it to not have to borrow one every year. We only will use it a couple times a year, but who knows? Maybe we'll take up tent camping!
Sorry some of the pictures are so huge! I thought I resized them all.
