Beatles songs

In my Changing America class, we are doing a unit on The Beatles. We are listening to the music in class as our teacher discusses them and tells stories about them and her "life as a fan of the Beatles". It is really interesting. A few years ago, the teacher sent out a district wide e-mail asking teachers for their favorite Beatles song. She got answers from a lot of different teachers from all the buildings teaching all the subjects you can imagine. It was kind of interesting to look at the list and see that your first grade teacher's favorite Beatles song was Yellow Submarine. So I was wondering what your favorite Beatles song was.

"Hold Me Tight"

My sister gave me her "Meet the Beatles" album when she left for college. I remember her playing it all the time - she won it in a radio contest when the album was first released. It was my first album. I played it constantly, and that was my favorite song on there.

I have since added almost all of their albums to my record collection, but that song has always been my favorite because it's the first Beatles song I remember really liking.

Wow, there are soooooo many choices. But, I'd have to say "In My Life." We used that for our wedding 30 years ago and it still hold true.
However, Sgt Pepper would probably qualify as my favorite album, followed by Rubber Soul.

"In My Life" followed very closely by "Something".

The show is Vegas is so great. It's such a wonderful interpretation of their music. I can't recommend it highly enough!

I love the early Beatles songs; the Beatlemania era. I loved some of the lesser songs like "Any Time At All" and "The Night Before". There are so many great songs, it's really hard to pick just one.

I just finished a great book that was written by the man who was the engineer for the great majority of the Beatles albums. It's called Here, There and Everywhere: My Life Recording the Music of the Beatles by Geoff Emerick. I highly recommend it.

I am a huge Beatles fan - it would be absolutely impossible for me to choose any one song.

The entire B side of Abbey Road....which is more or less one giant song! That comes close. But the Beatles evolved so much in their brief career - the Beatles of 1969 are almost an entirely different band than the Beatles of 1962

Another big fan of Beatles music so it's hard to choose. I would say:
"I Saw Her Standing There" from early era.
"Ticket to Ride" from middle era and
"Let it Be" from later Beatles.

I really like In My Life, but it tends to make me weepy when I hear it.

Another Beatlemaniac checking in. I love all of them so my favorite would change from one moment to the next. My usual choices are Penny Lane, Strawberry Fields Forever, A Day In The Life, Blackbird, and Help!
