I am going to stay in a 2 bedroom villa in Nov 2005 and was wondering if it had a seperate enterance for the 1 bedroom section and the studio section or if there is just one enterance for the 2 bedroom? Thank You

BCV has both configurations. If you want only one entrance, ask for a "dedicated" 2-bedroom when you check in. However, there aren't many of either kind available so you may have to take what you're assigned.

You can see room layouts for both dedicated and lock-off 2-Br units at http://www.parkinfo2go.com/dvc-bcv/, together with floor plans and photos of the views from some rooms.

I would call MS and request the room type you want. You may not get it, but if you don't ask you may not either.

I believe there are 25 dedicated 2BR (1 entrance) and the rest are lockoffs - what I cannot recall is whether the 2nd bedroom in the dedicated units had 2Q beds or 1Q and the sleeper sofa

Cheers

There are three types of 2 bedroom units at BCV. These types are reserved when you make your reservation but might not be listed on your confirmation. There are 'lock-off' 2 bedroom villas that are a combination of studio and 1 bedroom units, dedicated 2 bedroom villas with 2 queen beds in the second bedroom, and dedicated 2 bedroom villas with a queen and sleeper sofa in the second bedroom. There are only 25 2 bedroom villas with 2 Queens.

I actually think there are 28 ;) ....but we will stick to the previously stated nice round 25. (There are 28 dedicated 2 bedroom villa's without a balcony or patio in the second bedroom)

Just remember that your room requests are just that and are not guaranteed! Annmarie

Actually, my understanding is that you will know for certain when you book a 2br dedicated or lockoff at BCV. They book the dedicated specifically.

I have a dedicated 2-bedroom, with 2 queens and no sleeper sofa in the studio section, booked at BCV for next summer. Although this isn't printed on the confirmation they sent me, each CM I speak to at MS sees it on the reservation and says it's a booking, not just a request.

In our case, we want only one door to the hallway for our children's security. However, we want them each to have a bed (identical so there's no grousing) since they're different sexes and aged 9 and 12. And we want the living room available to everyone with no open bed to deal with.

To be sure of getting this configuration, I called day-by-day at the 11 month window.

I found this is one big advantage of owning at BCV, being first to book the ded. 2 bedroom with 2 queens!

I was able to book a 2 bedroom with queens yesterday for the last week in January. The person at MS assured me the queen bed configuration was guaranteed not just a request. I felt really lucky to be able to get that on such short notice.

Can anyone offer any input please? We booked a one bedroom at BVC in July. This is a stretch for us as we have stayed in studios both other times we have traveled as members. I have a boy and a girl both teenagers. We need accomadations for them to each have their own beds. In the one bedroom BVC is there an option of getting a unit with two double beds?
We were thinking of maybe switching to OKW 2 bedroom but really wanted to go to BVC for the pool. BVC would be ideal if we can have the option of a two double bed unit. Is this possible?
Thanks

No it isn't in a one bedroom, sorry. All DVC one bedrooms have a king in the master and a pullout in the living room.

I have read that you can bring an inflatable matress plus your own linens into a one bedroom without a problem. My family ( myself, DH and 2 DS's ...teens) will also be at the BCV this summer (June25-July2) We can't wait...first BCV trip!!!

We have been able to get it several times at 7 months. Not sure if this will continue with more members but so far, no problems.

Perhaps the difference is knowing you will have that room type at any time of year instead of hoping (and waitlisting) that you can get it. We have to look at it from that perspective since we usually go down during school breaks/holidays (T-giving, Christmas, Pres. Wk, Easter or April) where it's much more iffy about the 7 month window.

As our DS#1 approaches the age where he can understand and undo locks we have to consider this more and more - to date we have been ok with any 2BR config we get at BCV

cheers
