Staying a couple of days at BC (first time stay). Any suggestions on room requests? Or should I go with the flow? TIA:thumbsup2

The rooms next to the elevators are noisy so I'd stay away from them. Not much in the way of views anywhere @ BCV.

I agree that none are great but I don’t like the ones that look at the road. I request pool view.

There used to be Epcot views, especially from the top floor, but over the years, most of the trees have matured and even fireworks are tough to see.
The rooms facing the road stink. Some of these are also above the work area/dumpster/laundry(?). So lots of trucks.
We've been happy requesting pool views with the larger balconies (some of the BCV balconies, due to the design of the building, are simply enormous). We also prefer to be higher up.

Speaking of BCV balconies, can anyone speak to 2 bedroom balconies? Do some have long balconies that extend the length of the villa? It is difficult to tell in looking at exterior photos of the building. It looks like some rooms have very small balconies.

Best chance at the full length balcony is the 2nd floor with the building design.

I enjoy the whole building and fun getting the random assignment. There are dedicated villas without that connecting door for less sound transfer. Was assigned a dedicated one bedroom last visit and it had a closet where that door would be.

We stayed in a lovely one bedroom villa right off the hallway. I was afraid it would be noisy but it was so quiet. Maybe because it was on the courtyard side and not the quiet pool side. We were on the first floor which bummed me out initially but it was wonderful not to have to worry about the elevators or walk long hallways. We had 2 balconies - one off the the room and one off the bedroom. It was great! Would definitely request that area and the first floor again!

Can you see the Epcot fireworks from any rooms? Doesn't have to be a good view, my 4 year old just loves seeing them at all.

Some of them yeah. But it really is not a good view. You’re looking over the tops of trees mainly.

There’s better spots to watch near the Boardwalk.

This is what we got for balcony space the first time we reserved a 1 BR. Two separate tiny balconies, not connected, that each held at most two people. I've had studios with larger balconies than the balcony space of those two balconies put together. So you might want to request "large balcony". For view, I like the woods because I'm a bird watcher, and I've seen Hawks and Owls in the trees. A few people dislike the first floor-but there are really advantages/disadvantages to all views, except the road-I don't think anyone likes the sound of the buses on that road!
