Beach Club lost two of our bags. ;(

We're here now and moved from Grand Floridian. Bell Services cannot find two of our bags... including all our special stuff for the Halloween party tonight. Just wanted to post where someone would understand. ;P
Oh no! Hope they showed up! You said 2 of our bags. Were there other bags that showed up?

Ugh, I'm so sorry! We had this happen to us when we changed rooms within the SAME resort.
::yes::: Same experience at Pop once, it took somewhere over twelve hours to transfer my luggage from one end of the resort to the other.

A friend once transferred from Pop Century to OKW. They didn’t get their luggage until 8:00pm.

The times we’ve done it, we moved luggage ourselves. Luckily we had a car. Last time we planned on using a Minnie Van but got a car last minute.

Just to give you a heads up about using Minnie to transfer to a different resort. We split stay 100% of the time (love it) and 'tried' to use Minnie twice instead of Uber/Lyft and it wasn't good. All Minnies have children's seats in the back/trunk/hatch area and they do not take them out....at least both times for us, they didn't and said they couldn't. We sat with our luggage (thankfully DH & I always bring carry ons and totes) on our LAPS.

I highly suggest you use Uber/Lyft, not Minnie Lyft. Plus it's cheaper.

Agree. We should have just moved them ourselves. Sigh.

OH no! I hope your bags were found.

We did a split and my dh was adamant about Disney moving our bags, meaning he did not want them too. So we took a Lyft (and like PP cheaper then a Minnie Van). Our room was ready so it worked out.

Once we had luggage transferred from POFQ to OKW and our bags went to SSR. We got our bags delivered around 10pm. The other 20 times we've had luggage transferred worked out fine though.

Hopefully OP is enjoying a Category 5 or Poolside Iced Tea at Hurricane Hanna's and has forgotten all about this post/the DIS/their bag snafus for the time being. :-)

Agree - :)

I have to add that we visit about 4/5 times a year and at least half of those stays are split as our party size changes and we either need to downsize (saving $) or upsize to accommodate additional people. We always use bell services to move our bags and have never had an issue - but we are fully aware that the bags most likely won't arrive until at least check in time!

If you plan properly you won't miss your bags, if you want to swim, have an event or nice dinner maybe a cab, lyft, uber or rental car would be a better choice.

eta - It would be helpful to get an update from the OP so we have an idea as to when they checked out/left the bags and then what time they eventually received them! The more information on actual experiences the better right?

We just came home from a week at BC. We didn’t get our luggage until around 9 PM on check-in day (flight landed at 4 PM) and there were A LOT of CM’s working the inside Bell Services desk that had name tags indicating they were training.

One day, the door to the holding area was open as we walked by and looking in passing at how many bags/ bins of stuff/ deliveries there are in that room I can see why it takes so long to distribute. It’s also not a very big room, so not much space in there for something to go missing.

I think between the trainees and the general timing/ resort traffic it’s possible the bags are somewhere en route (or at least I’m going to hope so for OP’s sake).

Honestly though - that's about right for DME delivery. All the literature says it will take up to 3 hours after check in - so if you landed at 4, you probably didn't hit BC until 5:30 6 and 9 would be in that delivery range.

The OP moved their bags from one resort to another (nothing to do with DME) and we have no idea what time and or how long it took as they didn't re-post.

I suppose I should have been more clear- I wasn’t expecting my bags any earlier. It’s more of a matter of perspective. Once it’s all picked up it all has to be sorted and distributed and that takes time. It was a reference point, not a complaint.

I am SO sorry. I will keep my fingers crossed they will be found very soon.
Agree to keep checking with Disney. Often. Definitely every 30 minutes.

You have reinforced my own thinking of always walking my bags if moving around the boardwalk or taking uber/lyft with my bags when split staying further. I just get too nervous. I even always take my own bags from Magical Express.
We do split stays often. We do as others have said wheel our suitcases around the boardwalk or take uber/lyft. I HOPE that bags show up; a major disappointment, but crossing fingers and toes for you!pixiedust:HOPING for a good outcome!:goodvibes
