Just wondering if anyone can tell me about when we would expect to hear from the Concierge people at the Beach Club, we will be staing there the week of June 13th.......curious if I need to conact them, or will they be in touch with us? Trying to get some plans together, and just wondering.

We stayed there last November. They never did contact us, either by mail orphone. So I would suggest you contact them.

However, I can't help you there. I never did get a phone number or e mail address for the BC concierge.

Ed

I never did receive an email address either. But, I do have the phone:

407-934-1448

I received a welcome packet about 60 days prior to arrival. Have a great time! :)

Ed, Thanks for letting me know I wasnt just "left out." Wonder Why they do not contact you ? You sure pay enough to be contacted ahead of time!!

Mistie- Thanks for the phone number, I will use it tomorrow!! Thanks again!:earsgirl: :earsboy: :earsboy: :earsgirl:

Glad to help! :)

They should send the packet to everyone. I'd call CRO to make sure they have your correct address/phone number on file. I've found some CM's who neglect to enter the info in the right fields. Hence, the concierge has no way of getting in touch with you. Likewise, if you booked through a Travel agent, Disney sometimes has the agency address in the field where the guest address should be.

Good luck and have a great trip. :)

We are going to stay at AKL conciere the end of March. I called to book the Sunrise Safari and they asked if they could do anything else for us when I called. I told her we were getting there really late- after 11pm and could they maybe leave some sort of snack in the room. (I figured hey, we paid for concierge that night even though we will not be using it-doesn't hurt to ask.) She said no sorry-concierge was closed at 10pm. Oh well:( Have not heard from them since:) I have not got a welcome packet either. Should I call and ask for one? What is in it? Not too impressed with the service so far.

Oh Boy!!

You mean to tell me that you are staying in Concierge at Akl and have paid for that day already, but won't be arriving until 11pm...................AND THEY WONT LEAVE YOU A 'SNACK' WIATING FOR YOU IN THE ROOM!!! That's just wrong. I know we're paying alot more, for concierge, and are hoping for alot better service. That really bothers me that your not going to even arrive until they day is over, (and evening for that fact) a, and they can't even leave you something light in the room to snack on when you arrive!!! Maybe you just talked to a CM that wanst very clear on things...........I would call again, and ask to speak to someone in charge of the Concierge, and explain your situation again!! And if they still won't comply with your simple request than maybe I would think of changing Deluxes!! I've heard very good things about AKL concierge. Can't believe they would do that. Let me know what happens, I'm routing for ya!!

Thanks CG:) I was wondering why someone couldn't just leave some popcorn and sodas or something like that in the room. We will probably eat something before we get on the plane but we were worried everything will be closed by the time we get to AKL and we may be a bit hungry again by then. I though concierge means they try to go above and beyond. We are paying a lot since it is peak season too. Maybe we should have paid for a standard room for one night since will will not even get the special check in (too late.) I did not want to go through the trouble of switching (we are only staying 4 nights) but I wonder if we just should.

we are staying at BC Concierge in October.....DH, DD10, DS 6...can anyone give me any details about the ammenities in the lounge area.....like what kinds of snacks, etc...any other info would be great too!

thanks!

Amee

AKL concierge has express check in when the lounge is open.. the bellman takes you straight to your room and then when you are settled you go to the lounge to sign the registration..

With the lounge closed when you arrive - they may have you checking in downstairs in the "gasp" regular lines or maybe they will still take you to your room and you will have to drop by the lounge in the morning.

I would call and askfor more details about concierge check in with the lounge closed. - also if there is a reduced rate for the night you are arriving after 11pm.. maybe they will give you a better rate.

As for the snack - mention it again when you call.

The beds are turned down by then and there is always ice in the bucket for you. If worst come to worst there is the gift shop in the lobby.. they have lots of stuff to eat down there.

Thanks Cass. I sent an e-mail to AKL concierge to ask them how to check in and about a snack. Maybe I will ask CRO about a discount for the 1st night. I feel bad because we got an AP discount but it is still $377 a night with tax. We are really looking forward to staying at AKL! I am sure concierge will be great.

I just wanted to say that AKL concierge answered my e-mail questions about checking in and also called me to book my dining reservations today. They sent an e-mail confirming the reservations within 15 minutes! They let me know that they can not leave anything in the room until we check in but that room service is open till 12am so we may be able to catch them. They were very helpful and we are really looking forward to the trip. I knew Disney would come through. :)

PatriciaH,

I was really hoping that they would come through for you!!! I'm so glad that they did!! Have a wonderfully Magical time!!!!

Hi Patricia...

I knew they would get back to you - they are really professional people - and they want the guests to be happy.

Shame that you are checking in so late.... what airline is brining you in a midnight??

lol

Cass-

We booked a Delta flight after work. It is non-stop and we got emergency exit seats so we are all set. :) We like to bring DH's laptop and watch a movie on DVD. It makes the trip go so fast. We figured we would rather get in late and have the whole day Saturday rather than travel during the morning on Saturday.
