Be Our Guest Breakfast Price Increase

So how does this work for a preordered breakfast in 2 weeks? Does my price go up when I pay even though it was the lower price when I placed my order weeks ago?

WOW. That is really, really disappointing. 32$ . By the time you convert it to my lovely Canadian $, it's $32...without a drink!!!

We are going in 2 weeks. I wasn't able to get a FP for Anna/Elsa (my dd3's only Disney request) so i thought I was smart securing an 8am BOG ADR.:worried: sigh.

I have a really hard time paying those prices though. I'll talk about it in the am with my DH, but we will either be all eating kids meals or cancelling it all together.

We're keeping the ADR but eating before hand and ordering coffee. Since the price increase occurred so close to your visit, I'd also e-mail guest services. Maybe they'll honor the previous rate for you. Worth asking.

Thanks - I've sent an email... I really hope they honour the price at which we ordered. This all just leaves a bad taste in my mouth. (Pun intended)

Week of February 14th it was $21.95. They went from 19.95 last Sept to $21.95 in February, and now $24 in March???

We have reservations in April and July. May be canceling those babies-or splitting the cupcake. :cake:

Actually more if as the new menu implies drinks are no longer included.....

I booked a breakfast ADR for a couple weeks from now. I tried switching to lunch, but nothing was available.

Looks like I'll order a cupcake or two.

But surely they can't expect people to only eat there for pre-park opening breakfasts. What are the servers supposed to do from 9 to 11?

I guess my point is that BOG breakfast has never been a hard ADR to get compared to Ohana, Dining with an Imagineer, Beaches and Cream, and BOG dinner. I have easily secured 5 pre-park breakfasts at BOG, and none of them did I book at 180 days.

July BOG breakfasts are still wide open, so it is not as if you have to be online at 6 am 180+ days in advance to get them. I wonder if availability will rise even higher now with this price change.

I agree that they are not the MOST difficult reservations on property to secure. I made my BOG reservations about 3 months out (but I am also going when crowd levels are expected to be moderate, and I was able to get almost every other ADR I wanted at the same time - it wasn't just BOG). However, a single 8-ish time slot open this week on an AM EMH day does not really mean that there is "plenty of availability - even close to 8am." Especially when (to your point above) I just found a BOG dinner for 4 on 3/4 (6:30pm), 'Ohana dinner for 4 on 3/3 (5:15pm), and a Beaches N Cream dinner for 4 for tonight (5:50pm). These are people cancelling to avoid a fee - not a sign of "plenty of availability."

I don't blame you, I'm sure there will be plenty of people doing this. But I also think that in the very near future Disney will make the adjustments to this and begin to implement a prix fixe menu as already mentioned by someone. Again, I don't blame you.

Yes, we were planning to purchase breakfasts for our party of 6, but we simply cannot at these prices. I know it's making the problem worse for them, which isn't my intention maliciously.

Without a doubt, they will be changing their pricing and ordering requirements FAST when enough people order just coffee. As always, enough people abuse a loop hole, it will slam shut.

We have an 8:55 ADR so I'm not even expecting to bolt to a ride. First visit, we were seriously planning to enjoy BOG after the rushing breakfast-just-to-get-in crowd ran out. If it wasn't $170 for 6 sandwiches they wouldn't have people having just coffee. I'd rather it be prixe fixed at a reasonably rate (keeping into account it is Disney) that required everyone to get an entree so that the few that actually want to aren't punished in paying indirectly for those who don't.

Hmm, guess I don't see ordering coffee only as a loop hole. A lot of people don't eat breakfast, I rarely do but my family does.
Anyway....I emailed to ask about preordered, if anyone hears back please post what they say. Thank you! :goodvibes

Has anyone at the restaurant actually confirmed that the drinks are no longer included...? (especially on the DP)

:confused3no justification here, I have preordered meals already ordered. I was just saying some people legitimately order a coffee only at a QS meal.
Now if a family of 10 all order just coffee, maybe....

I don't think this has been confirmed, it may just be that it is available a la carte now and it wasn't before but is still included if you order the full breakfast.

others on this thread have mentioned that breakfast is rarely filled up... maybe offering the cupcake/coffee option is intentional to get more bodies in and they raised the prices on the full breakfast to make up for people who are just ordering the cupcake/coffee option.
