Enjoyed a five night stay at BCV in a 2 BDR lock off, rooms 227-229 which were very close to the elevators! This trip included me, DW, DD and DD's friend(DDF). Both girls had just a few days before graduated from high school. We let the girls use the studio while DW and me used the 1 BDR. DDF had never been to WDW before.
Our drive from Alabama which is 534 miles we made in 7 hours and 55 minutes, a personal best! We arrived Tuesday May 31 at 3 pm. When we pulled up to the resort we had two CM's come to help us, one unloaded the car while the other walked me into the resort to check in. He stood with me talking to me until a CM was available to check me in. Once one was available he walked me to the desk and introduced me to the front desk clerk. Front desk clerk was extremely nice and helpful. Everything seemed to be in order, unfortunately the room was not ready. I went to the guest services desk to purchase a Park Hopper for DD's Friend(DDF). Again exceptionally nice CM and very helpful.
Since the room wasn't ready we walked over to ESPN for a bite to eat since we had only had snacks for lunch. I had the Cuban burger which was excellent, DW and DD had the rueben which they also liked and only could eat half and DDF had chicken sliders which she liked. DW's cell phone got a text towards the end of our meal letting us know our room was ready, about 3:45 pm.
Told the girls to go ahead and go to Epcot while DW and I headed back to the resort. We had the bags delivered and unpacked, loaded the fridge and then headed to Epcot ourselves. DW and I basically just strolled around for awhile, which is fast becoming one of our favorite WDW activities. We met up with the girls and headed to Mexico, the headed to Norway and did the Maelstrom, dropped by Germancy and got some caramel popcorn and then just hung around until Illuminations. Good first day!
BTW: Room was very clean and fresh and I can't tell you how pleased I was with CM interaction this trip, particularly at the resort!
