BCV trip report with photos!! Final thoughts and photos added!

Beautiful pictures thanks for shareing and the mini review ov BCV

Great pics! I miss this place! Have not visited in a while as kids are both in college now.

Hi!
We check-in to AKV next Saturday (June 18) for 2 nights. Then we move over to BCV on Monday (June 20) for 7 nights.

When do you check-in? The wait is about KILLING me :hyper:

We have never done on-line check-in. Many times, I've read that guests had to wait in a line anyway. We will probably just wait until we arrive & do everything there.

We check in on the 18th also but all the trip will be at BCV. DH will not move and he only stays at BCV. DD and I stayed at Jambo last July (non-DVC). The pool time at jambo and kidani was fantastic. The CMs at both pools were so much fun with the games and trivia.

If you see a guy with brown hair and a mustache sitting on a bench early each morning from the 17th to the 23rd its me. Its my thing every morning I sit on a bench behind BCV and relax. It would be great to meet some DIS friends.

I'll keep my eye out for you! Do you mean the benches outside of the market place?

It's my turn to live vicariously through other's TRs! Nice pictures of BCV! My next trip will be there for F&W, it will be my first trip to my new home!

We arrived Tuesday May 31 at 3 pm. When we pulled up to the resort we had two CM's come to help us, one unloaded the car while the other walked me into the resort to check in. He stood with me talking to me until a CM was available to check me in. Once one was available he walked me to the desk and introduced me to the front desk clerk. Front desk clerk was extremely nice and helpful.

I stayed at the BCV in September and I encountered this same wonderful service. I was very impressed, I felt like I was staying at the concierge level.

Fantastic, all I could think was what how in the world did you get such great pictures? What kind of camera and what settings are you using? I can't get anywhere near that quality of picture with my new nikon d3100 - of course I still cant figure out all the settings, especially for inside photos.

We go in August and are on a waitlist for BCV, our home resort which we cancelled twice now this year due to snow and school extended snow days. curently in a 1 br at BWV,

Great pics - can't wait to read more! We are staying at Jambo and BLT in Aug. I call member service everyday to see if BCV (to replace Jambo) is available... it is our home resort, but we can never plan more than 4 months out (so we never can use our hra) ...we actually had a split stay between there and BLT, but had to reschedule a couple of weeks ago.

Our first full day! Wednesday, June 1. Seems only appropriate that on the first full day of the visit we go to Magic Kingdom particularly since we had a newbie with us.

We arrived just as the opening ceremony ended and the gates opened. It was pretty overcast and the temps were very mild and comfortable! As is my norm, we headed straight for Splash Mountain and walked on with out stopping. I've always enjoyed Splash and this time was no different. We faked out the newbie a couple of times making her think some of the minor drops was the big one!

Next after our usual restroom stop after Splash we walked on Big Thunder Mountain Railroad, again no stopping, as you will see in the photos the girls enjoyed it immensely! Normally with such short lines we'd stay and ride multiple times but since we had a newbie I thought it would be better to try to hit more attractions. Who knows this could be her only trip!

We walked over and rode Haunted Mansion and went through the scenic queue and we all enjoyed the interactive stuff particularly the musical ones. The refurb from a couple years ago seems to be really holding up, didn't notice anything not working. I like this attraction as well!

I will ride just about anything, Teacups, however, isn't among those things. I headed to Space Mountain to get us all fastpasses while the girls spun around in circles and DW watched them spin. I met them at the Teacups and we headed to Philharmagic. If there is a better 3D attraction I'd really like to see it!

Walking out of Philharmagic we headed to It's a Small World. We asked DDF if she wanted to ride it and she said she thought would almost have to since it was her first trip! When we were in line (about a 10 minute wait) we noticed it was starting to rain. When we got off the ride it was raining hard! We all donned our ponchos, I wrapped my camera in a gallon sized ziploc baggie and stuffed into my shoulder bag and away we went.

Next stop, Pirates of the Caribbean. Since it was raining pretty hard, many people had the same idea but it was only about a 15 minute wait. We wants the redhead!!

When we left Pirates we had enough walking time to Space Mountain for our fastpass time to arrive. We walked in around 12:05 and we were on the ride in about 5 minutes or so.

The rain had let up and we headed towards Mainstreet stopping to get FP's for Buzz Lightyear. We headed to the exit and the resort monorail for our 1:10 lunch ADR's at Kona Cafe at the Polynesian Resort. I was really looking forward to this, if nothing else to see the resort since I'e never been there before! I must say this resort doesn't look its age! It is a very neat resort, everything still looks fresh and vibrant.

For lunch DDF and I had:

Asian Noodle Bowl - Spiced Beef Broth with Strip Steak, Snap Peas, Carrots, Celery, and Rice Noodles

and we both really liked it. It has a lot of broth in it and when i was trying to eat a long noodle, I slurped it. Droplets of the broth slung all over my white shirt! Embarrassed DW, looked like someone had splashed me from a mud puddle!

DW had:

Island Chicken Sandwich - Grilled Chicken Breast with Bacon, Swiss Cheese, Curry-Mango Mayonnaise, and Fried Onions on a Kaiser Roll served with Asian Vegetable Slaw or House-made Potato Chips

really enjoyed it, we were hungry!!

DD had:

Beef Teriyaki Salad - Mixed Greens, Vegetables, and Noodles tossed with Asian Vinaigrette and Grilled Beef

She liked it but after tasting DW's sandwich, she wished she had ordered that.

for dessert

No Sugar Added Apple Stacker - with cinnamon, sour cream and crisp won tons served with sugar free vanilla ice cream

and

Chocolate Fondue

both yummy!!

After lunch, it was raining again, we headed back to MK. The girls took the fastpasses and headed to the park while DW and I headed back to the resort.

Once back to the resort DW and I checked our email and facebook and took a nap. The girls did a few things at MK and then headed to DTD.

Around six DW and I decide to catch a boat to DHS. We arrive to see a huge line waiting for the boat. I stupidly didn't check park hours, we arrived at 6:25 and the park closed at 7! We went ahead and went in a strolled around for a little while anyway!

On the way back to the room we got off the boat at Swalfin and walked over to Boardwalk and watched some street performers before heading to the room and calling it a night!

An apology about photos from this day, it was raining and I didn't take too many:sad2:. If you hang with me though there are some pretty decent images from days to come.

You know, I never understand why people say there are no good views at BCV's. I LOVE the woods view you have!! We have had rooms right there, and there is nothing like bringing your coffee out onto the balcony in the morning and listening to all those birds. Love that location. I also love the courtyard view, for people watching:thumbsup2. Nice report!

Thanks for the view shots! I'm really looking forward to our next trip and stay there! :cool1: What was that last shot? Preview? Where was that taken?

I'm going to Guess it's the GM Employee lounge @ Test Track. Judging by the pic, I'm guessing it's open again? Great view! I have been in the neighboring lounge many times and always wondered if the two were even similar (nope! hehe)

Thanks for the trip report PhotoBob! Love it!

Love the Pictures!!

We are staying there for the 1st time in July with 2 - 2 bedroom villas. I'd love to have a lockoff & a dedicated 2 bedroom villa. Can you request a lock off or are they usually reserved as a 1 bedroom & studio?
