BCV positive report? Please?

We have stayed at he BCV 4 times and no problems here. Our last visit was this past May and that was our best trip to date. The CM who checked us is was just awesome!!! We had a great mousekeeper. Even the painter in the hall was very friendly.

Our next visit to the villias will be after Thanksgiving and I am looking forward to a wonderful visit then too.

We were there in April for our first visit at our home resort, and everything was great, starting with check in (CM's were great) and than from walking into our one bedroom. Our room was clean but ... are you ready for this... one light bulb was out in the master bedroom and... the sink in the master bath was slow to drain !!!!

So you know what we did, we called down to housekeeping and they were taken care of in 10min.:hyper:

Oh and we had also requested a Epcot view ( we had made reservations 10 months out) and we did not get a Epcot view!! But we did get a pool view that was even better than having a Epcot view!::yes::

Would I go back to my Home resort?
In a heartbeat!::yes:: We love the BCV!!

I too agree with jarestel & rinkwide, the posts stating that your stay was great don't last long on these posts.

We stayed in February and it could not have been better. The rooms were immaculate and the staff was very attentive and effective. Our only complaint is that we had to leave.

We posted a trip report in June. Stayed at BCV for 2 weeks in a studio. Everything was great; the staff (saw Art twice) food, SAB, our room, the grounds. We fell in love with the Beach Club and definately want to stay there again.

Of course the majority will have good service. But that does not nor should not dismiss the ones that do not. If they are, then the bad experiences will increase. Why? Because silence will not encourage improvement.

What we are seeing here is a trend of service in one of the DVC units slipping. If it is not addressed it will continue to slip.

Let's look at it this way. Those who have experienced bad (very bad) service and have the incentive and will to bring it to management attention are doing the rest a favor. They are helping to promote excellent service.

Will you help when it happens to you ??????????

My post was not intended to dismiss anyone. I was simply looking for some sunshine through a seemingless endless storm of bad reviews.

I agree. But that wasn't the focus of my original post .

I find it interesting that a request for something positive seems to often illicit responses reminding us not to be TOO positive.

I thank everyone who has responded with their positive experiences. :D

But of course. Let's put it this way, every Hundred Acre Wood has to have it's Eeyore. ;)

Just trying to give a balance view. Life isn't all roses.

HI
We have stayed at BCV a few times the last being in March and we have never had a problem it has always been clean and tidy and the staff more than helpful. We love Cape Mays. We do own at BCV but struggle to get in there sometimes. So I think that you have nothing to worry about.:Have fun I am sure you will.)

Just putting this thread back to the top so that everyone can see that most BVC experiences are positive to fabulous. I wish we had bought more points!!!!!

We LOVE the BCV. It is our home resort and I couldn't be happier that all our points are there. Our second favorite is VWL. BWV is fine too, but in my mind, it is no Beach Club! OKW and SSR are not my cup of tea - too "out of the way" feeling. I like being able to walk to things from the Beach Club.

I posted a very positive trip report from BC when we returned in early June. The only thing I said negatively was that there were some spider webs on the balcony that I found on our 5th day there (so they may have formed during our stay), and the towels used at SAB (not a reflection of DVC) are very tiny, worn and GROSS (many are yellow, etc.) That was not a big issue for me and was not the kind of thing that would cause me to make a "DISASTER at BCV" type of post.

We will likely choose BCV for our stays 4 out of 5 trips (with the 5th one being VWL). We like it that much! I have also stayed at the regular BC resort before we bought DVC, and I loved that too.

On this board, IMO, people completely fixate on the negative posts and the positive posts only get a moderate amount of attention. It is really too bad to see that people are actually rethinking purchases or potential purchases because of the postings of a few people about some isolated problems. I know that some would like to make the case that the problems are not isolated. I would make the case that sometimes people make too big of a deal out of very small things (don't flame - I am not saying that everything that has been posted was no big deal). But I gage my reactions accordingly.

Can't speak for the others But my bad experience was not a small thing. It takes a lot to get me going. I have stayed there two other times with no problems.

We just returned from our first stay at the BCV. It was a great vacation and we didn’t experience any problems at all. We spent our first week at VWL and our second week at the BCV. Both resorts/rooms were in great shape (interior wet-paint signs at BCV) and I’m looking forward to our next stay.

We own at BWV and VWL. After staying at the BCV, I honestly have a hard time choosing a favorite resort between the three.

we stayed at BCV in May 04. If not for superb experiences at Old Key West, Wilderness Lodge and Boardwalk, I wouldn't have thought twice.

However, the room was not in good condition and the staff with whom we interacted were unfriendly to say the least.

I will not stay there again.

GEEZ, I asked for POSITIVE reports! And I even said please! You're bringin' me down! ;)

Someone's gotta nullify this one with a REALLY positive one!

Obviously some can't read or understand what your Title meant. Believe me the bad press at BCV has had more than it's share of forum space, you would think that everyone could respond to your question appropriately. If they did not have a postive stay then don't respond to this particular thread. Seems very easy to understand.

We have never had a bad stay at BCV. We have had normal issues that come with staying in a hotel that is frequented by thousands of people. All were dealt with to our complete satisfaction. I don't live in Perfectville and I don't expect it when I travel. I expect problems to be dealt with and they always have at BCV.

I stayed at BCV 11 years ago: I gained 50 lbs, all my hair fell out and my wife left me.

;) :p ;)

I, too, have experienced weight gain while staying at BCV....must be something in the water ::yes::
We love BCV, and we're looking forward to staying there at NY's. :rockband:

We stayed there and enjoyed it. My nephews loved the pool(that is why we stayed there - to try it). We probably won't stay there too often, but not because of problems - our home is BWV and to us it was the same location without the MGM option.
I think that a lot of problems come from "expectations". It is Disney and we generally have an overwhelming perfect experience, thus little things out of place add up and get to certain people. I had an experience at OKW (keys not working, charge capability missing, etc.) that lasted 1 1/2 days before resolved. It made me mad, but didn't ruin the trip and I don't hold it against OKW as a resort.
As mentioned in an earlier reply, when polls are done, there is generally a positive response to each resort - I will stick up a few polls to gauge the "reality".
