BCV disappointment in room and smoking room

To be sure that DVCers with a real health need get non-smoking rooms, we shouldn't encourage everyone who wants a non-smoking preference to claim "for medical reasons".

We have always gotten a non-smoking room simply be requesting it.

Our DD has asthma - I always request non-smoking due to medical condition - I now also bring a letter from the pediatrician stating her diagnosis.
No matter how clean a room looks or smells if the cigarette dust is in the room my DD will have an asthma attack - not pleasant!

And, as promised, a whole bunch of responses have "gone up in smoke" because they went way off topic.

Again, let us remind you, this is about getting a smoking room when non was requested.

Please head over to the debate board if you want to discuss smoking in general.
