Don't know if this is useful to anyone but we have just cancelled two nights in a studio at Beach Club (NOT BY CHOICE!!!)

Sorry you had to cancel, but at least you were able to do so more than 30 days in advance and don't have to worry about having points go into the holding account.

sorry to hear that. Maybe you should have tried to rent them on the rental board

Only cancelled them yesterday so not sure what to do with the points as they need to be used by 31st March.

So annoyed as there is no way we are going to use them before end of March and all due to our airline cancelling our flight!

The DVC board solution to ALL points problems. (And then there is the offsetting outcry over "devaluing" our points by renting)

To the OP, I tried to rent once, I did not find it easy. You post things like 100 points have to be used by 3/31 and get PM's for "I need 200 points for a visit to BCV in October" or "I will buy your points for $5" And if you reserch the posters of the lowball offer, you will discover that he/she has 10 other posts "renting" for $12. In other words he would like you to finance his profit!

Go to the rent/trade board and put the amount of points you have to offer out there. Because of short notice you may not get the average $10/pt, but something is better than nothing. I'd rather give points away than lose them.
