There is no door between the bedroom and the sink/tub area of this one-bedroom villa. The electrical outlet next to the sink has a built in night light. It's very annoying. It throws light into the bedroom.

Is there a way to turn it off?

We ended up using tape at one resort and a bandaid at another over the light when we stayed with our grandson recently. Yes, they are annoying.

We always trip the GFCI nightlight outlet prior to bed. Just push the test button on the front. Reset in morning if needed for hair dryer or something else. We have also used bandaid to cover other annoying lights. Now bring along small roll of black electrical tape for those.

For us it was the light from the alarm clock that was too bright. I don’t think the room we were in recently had one of these lights on the outlet though.

Put a piece of duct tape over it. I have one like that and I actually had to put three layers of duct tape over it. Now it doesn't bother me.

After two nights with no sleep on my first WDW trip due to bright balcony lights you can't turn off at Beach Club hotel, I started always traveling with a sleeping mask. A roll of painters or electrical tape in your travel bag will be useful here too.

I do like a sleep mask as well. I like the Alaska bear sleep mask, the one without the Velcro. It is so soft and it works so well. I use a CPAP and I can even use it underneath all the CPAP stuff.

I don't think I could handle the idea of it being over my eyes, but I do need darkness at night...

If I remember to bring tape, I'll use that - if I don't, I just put a facecloth folded up against it, held in place by a bottle (shampoo, alcohol, cologne - anything tall enough - even something from the kitchen if need be.

Little piece of black electrical tape over green light from smoke detector (remember to remove before leaving) Little piece over red light on TV IR light.
Unplug alarm clock (that's what phone is for 😆).
We also travel with small plastic spring clamps to hold curtains closed and at the resorts with the pesky balcony lights use either the extra towels or extra blanket above curtains to mute out lights from bleeding through.

Try pressing down one of the buttons, it will turn the light and the outlet off. When outlet is required you will have to press it on again.
