We ended up using tape at one resort and a bandaid at another over the light when we stayed with our grandson recently. Yes, they are annoying. There is no door between the bedroom and the sink/tub area of this one-bedroom villa. The electrical outlet next to the sink has a built in night light. It's very annoying. It throws light into the bedroom.

Is there a way to turn it off?
Agreed. Note that some of the moderates with the same layout have curtains to separate.the trend of not putting doors between bathrooms and bedrooms is not good in my view.

Put a piece of duct tape over it. I have one like that and I actually had to put three layers of duct tape over it. Now it doesn't bother me.There is no door between the bedroom and the sink/tub area of this one-bedroom villa. The electrical outlet next to the sink has a built in night light. It's very annoying.
